Good lord, they gotta make sure we know Orton stuck out the pain FOR DA FANS, with the "not like those ungrateful bitches" being left unsaid but assumed.
-
Interesting development in the story now is that it looks like they left around 5pm, not during the show, and WWE seems to have false advertised the six pack challenge match just so they could badmouth them later. Both the match (with no producers/agents listed which is not normal) and the Becky/Adam Pearce segment were listed for the show prior. Seems funny to have a segment already planned to rebook the main event you advertised was happening.
-
I don't even think "pretty much" is needed, that match was one of those "if you didn't think this was awesome, this pro wrestling thing might not be for you" matches. That was the best tag team matches I've seen in the us since the Midnights and Fantastics.

If my old man memory is correct, I think that's correct. I remember around that time was when we started hearing stories/rumors about Hall's issues becoming a problem.

Vince absolutely would back up the Brinks truck to poach a top star from his biggest competitor. I agree he won't get anything about what makes MJF great and have him be in the same role LA Knight ended up in.
-
The best thing is how Dusty hustles back to play D as well, he's not a glory hog out there just trying to score. Also I noticed that at least in the US, today's Google Doodle is honoring the Great Gama's 144th birthday.

From what I can piece together, Sasha was supposed to be in the WM main event and got bumped for Ronda when she decided to come back. As a make good, they told her she would get a run with the tag titles (that were important to her, since the only time those belts mattered was when she and Bayley had them) where they would build them back up. They of course went on to break up all the other women's tag teams and continued not giving a shit about the belts. So when the next big plan presented to her was for her to do a job for the person she got bumped from a Mania main event for, you can see where this quickly became a "fuck this shit, I'm out" moment for her. An interesting part of this is apparently Becky and Adam Pearce more or less had to improv the segment they did to rebook the main event. They were told what the plan was and put in front of a camera to make it happen.

FWIW I'm not saying it's a work, I'm just saying I get how someone might feel it is because it's such a monumentally stupid thing for them to shit on Sasha and Naomi like they did. That "they can't be THAT stupid" initial reaction where you grasp at any other explanation for what you just saw.
-
I can see why someone would believe this is a work, since it is so monumentally stupid for WWE to have such a public temper tantrum to bury one of their biggest stars who gets tons of mainstream pub. It HAS to be a work, right? Not even WWE can be that stupid, right? Instead it seems like we're seeing a mask-off moment where Vince is showing exactly how he feels about his "independent contractors" As a wise man once said, "they are who we thought they were"

Miz *tries* to do that but comes off as Guy Playing Pro Wrestler. MJF comes off like a legit douchebag with no redeeming qualities (except for people in Long Island). If anything, MJF is a better Miz than Miz could ever dream to be.
-
"MJF is just Miz with swearing" is quite an unusual take, as I don't think Miz would be able to get the level of heel heat MJF gets even if he was doing Bubba Ray Dudley in ECW level promos. MJF has tapped into the idea that a heel should be completely despicable and not a cool guy at a level not seen in decades. When most heels try to be Kevin Nash, he's Tully Blanchard.

Lost in all the hilarity of WWE being petty bitches, how are they going to have a tournament for the women's tag titles when they made sure every tag team was broken up?
-
Looks like they pulled all the Sasha and Naomi merch from the WWE shop too, really setting new records for pettiness here.
-
After Charlotte's antics and Toni Storm pulling a Jack Brisco and quitting not getting this level of response that Sasha and Naomi got...... I know people get funny when race is brought up but damn it's hard to ignore the obvious here.
-
LA Knight was an awful name, so I guess this is....better?
-
I think everyone, even Punk himself probably, knows that he's a natural heel and is 1000% better in that role. The issue is there is no way he could have come in as anything but a conquering hero to the AEW Galaxy (lol see what I did there) and have it make sense. I have no doubt we're going to get a big Punk heel run sooner than later so it's just smart business to ride the wave of him being the top babyface as far as they can take it.

I'm not disagreeing, but at the same time I'm excited for the brawl at the PPV more than anything else at this point. I don't really care how it happened, I just want to see some motherfuckers beat the piss out of each other.

You know, for as much shit Steph has got over the years (both deserved and not), she earned the right to go home with her kids and help her husband heal up without dealing with this company's nonsense.
-
Yeah that's probably a better explanation, Kyle wants to be a goofball who can flip the switch to a badass, and I just don't buy him as one,

Can't wait until Nick Kahn is the last one standing and when someone asks why, his answer is "I did it for the Rock"

Dude has some great technical skills, no doubt. My issue is that he carries himself as a dork at all times while Bryan looks like he's a moment away from kicking someone's head into the fifth row. I think that's where a lot of the annoyance comes from with me. It's not like he's Enzo where that's all he's got so he has to maximize it, dude can be a serious ass kicker yet we have......that.
-
Apparently something happened during the Rampage tapings where Bryan's leg got stuck between the ring and the rampway deal and it took 10 minutes to get him out. No word on if he's hurt or not but he was limping after they got him out.
-
Clearly no one was expecting it to be her, so there was a little bit of letdown and confusion, but she got the crowd back quickly because Maki Itoh is awesome, motherfuckers.
-
I legit lol'd at Sting bonking the chair off Kyle's head like the dork he is.

Deeb talking about what she had to do in order to satisfy perverts is a hell of a line when you consider she's in a relationship with Marty "lol I'll pretend u said 18" Scurll.
