  1. Did Edge just join the House of Black?
  2. Dolph growing his beard out makes him look like Old Man Adam Page
  3. I love how WWE's default storyline this time of year is "How will *X* find their way to Wrestlemania" despite it being a two day, eight hour affair.

Regal had neck surgery a couple years ago that ended his in ring career. I suppose he could have one of those miraculous recoveries from career ending injuries that wrestlers tend to have, but I wouldn't expect it.

Also Regal's biggest strength is behind the scenes, and Tony already said he would have a role there as well. This is probably going to end up being one of AEW's low key best gets just for that alone.

I don't think anyone expected to see Regal in AEW, and if they did they weren't expecting it on the PPV. Of course it makes sense in hindsight since he's the only one storyline wise who's villainous enough to manage these two. it also helps that he's one of those folks who seems to be universally loved by everyone, and that he spent the last several years being the stern Dad of NXT who was never undermined and was always seen as the final word.

In the post show presser, TK said he plans to keep ROH running as a promotion and from how he described it probably as a developmental one. Also Punk saying he knew ROH would end up being owned by either TK or Vince and he's happy Tony got it because ROH deserved better than to be a section on a poorly designed app

To be fair, Danhausen is still recovering from a badly broken leg and probably can't do more than what he did here.

Tony marking out is the best part of any match.
  17. It was interesting to hear Bryan, who normally goes out of his way to not say anything bad about his time n WWE, mention that when the Giants won the World Series and did the Yes stuff in the parade that was the one time he felt WWE didn't have his back. He rightly mentioned if they were doing like the You Can't See Me stuff it would have been all over WWE TV but when it was his deal it was largely ignored. The best parts were Bryan expressing how much he loves wrestling. I loved him talking about asking Daniel Garcia and Lee Moriarity about what they wanted to do in their matches with him and both of them after suggesting some ideas were like "I just wanna wrestle" and that excited him more than anything. I think that is the main reason he's the GOAT more than anything, he just loves it more than anyone I've ever seen and just devours any tape he can find whether it's pro wrestling or amateur wrestling, just to see what new stuff people come up with that he can use.
  18. I have, and it's awesome to see the reactions of people who know what it means as well as the reactions to those who don''t.

  20. It begs the question why debut Cody (or do any other big news type thing) at a houseshow? Ok, it's MSG, but why not use one of your millions of weekly TV hours instead?
  21. So it looks like the snag was Vince tearing up the huge money offer he made after AEW announced they were parting ways and replacing it with a much lower one. Apparently Vince feels Cody lost his leverage when AEW made the announcement and seeming is going to fumble their first opportunity to get a "we got one" moment.
  22. If Sinclair is keeping ROH on TV, they 100% should have some kind of show like Dark but on TV. It's another hour of TV time a week to give people more work/get polish/maybe book their own angles like WCW Saturday Night. Agree that they should not be doing ROH branded house shows.

I dunno, it seemed when AEW launched the idea was for Brandi to be if not the top woman star she was at least in the mix. Then the fans didn't really get in to her and then Britt caught fire, and all bets were off. That led to the disastrous Evil Brandi stuff that landed with a thud, and she was trying to start a program with Jade before she got pregnant. I don't doubt she got blamed for stuff she had nothing to do with, but it wasn't like there weren't any fires amidst all that smoke.

Wasn't Kenny the one booking the women's division? That was supposedly part of the heat Brandi had since she didn't agree with it.
  25. If Cody doesn't go to WWE, then what? He's not going to get a payday that size from anywhere else, and going back to an indy barnstorming tour seems like a pretty big step backwards for him. Also we all joke about WWE bungling things, but holy shit if they somehow blew their chance to change the impression that the flow of talent between them and AEW only goes one way.
