  1. She didn't seem to do anything wrong, there was no obvious botches or stiff shots, I think this was just one of those things that happens.
  2. Watching NXT now, lol'ed at Ciampa in Steiners gear. Also LA Knight has always been a guilty pleasure. Like I don't need to see him in a main event role, but he's being used well in this role to help the young pups. I do want to know however if they have some kind of secret lab full of giant Indian dudes.
  3. It did make their TV partner happy, so it wasn't a total waste. Total Divas/Bellas did apparently drive female viewers to WWE so I can see how it would be worth seeing if worked for AEW. It didn't, and accepting what works and moving on from what doesn't has been a major advantage they have over WWE.
  4. Did he need to get it removed or was it just lacerated? His tweets from the hospital seem to indicate it was a serious but not eye threatening injury.
  5. Inside baseball aspect aside, it makes Eddie look like an over sensitive baby to have a grudge over something like that so many years later. So the guy didn't put you over, sure I guess that's a dick move, but you don't still get mad about it forever.
  6. Fightful reporting Orton got the wind knocked out of him on the frog splash from Montez, and that RKBro was supposed to win but everyone called an audible when Randy couldn't continue. Thankfully they also mentioned there was no heat on Montez and everyone just saw it as a "shit happens" moment.
  7. So does Kingston have legit heat with Cesaro, or was he just trying to set up an angle if/when he goes to AEW? Cause if it's real and it's for the reason Eddie stated (Cesaro refused to put him over on the way to WWE), it seems incredibly petty to hold a grudge over.
  8. I know it makes me sound like The Old Man of The Internet, but it has been amusing to see the current generation of fans losing their minds over the idea of a top star from one promotion leaving and possibly going to the other main promotion. This is how wrestling worked from like the 1800s to 2000, the last 20 years were the anomaly. Granted, the Cody situation is a little different due to the EVP stuff, but it seems more and more than the only thing he was EVP'ing anymore was the Codyverse.
  9. I can get down with Edge vs Styles at Mania, but I don't think I can handle a month of Pained Acting Faces from Edge.
  10. Well I suppose since Paul Bearer is no longer with us, Kane is the most logical choice to do it. Unless they throw a curve and have Brucie do it since Taker's first manager was Brother Love.
  11. This might be an unpopular opinion, but I always thought Kane from the introduction to like the DX stuff was actually a pretty good character. Good in ring? No. A good character (especially for the time period) and one of the best non-luchadores at conveying emotion while masked. I thought the initial angle when he debuted was pretty well done, and it was the thing that took the Undertaker from his cartoon era to the Attitude Era version of the gimmick. Now once he took the mask off (which even at the time I thought was stupid to do), it was all downhill. The only thing after that was entertaining was the Corporate Kane stuff where he was leaning in to the absurdity of it.
  12. The China stuff was not great but if Cena wants to do movies then you have to PLAY THE GAME and kowtow to them or else they'll cut your film off from a billion paying customers. Sucks, but at least you can say it's business. The Total Divas/Bellas stuff was just weird since every clip I've ever seen of either show with him in it made him look like an uncaring dolt and that's even after it was probably edited to hell and back.
  13. I shouldn't complain about Vince actually getting behind a young talent, but I wonder what it is he saw in Austin Theory.
  14. Yeah it was pretty much required to know card games to fit in the locker rooms in those days. To me, the complaining about the younger generation is one part normal "old generation things the youngs are doing everything wrong" type bitching and one part "older generation sees the youngs not doing the destructive things they did and feel called out by it".
  15. It's a shame really, a healthier Waltman would have been amazing in the crusierweight/lucha filled era of WCW,
  16. I would say that Syxx was probably the last person to join the nWo that was a big deal before it got turned into a midcard/jobber storage facility.
  17. Yeah especially since their whole case against Vince seemed to basically be "well look at them, clearly they're using steroids" without actually bothering to tie him directly to them (other than what was for his personal use). I actually agreed with Jerry McDevitt when he mentioned he thought the government was just looking for a head to mount on the wall and saw Vince as an easy target.
  18. Not to mention while doing promotion for the movie, Johnny Knoxville was totally all "yeah I got a brain hemorrhage while filming it, lol" . So WWE is kind of rolling the dice here.
  19. I guess that was the "Austin level" name coming back for a match.....IT WAS ME ALL ALONG
  20. As much as I would have liked him to test the waters elsewhere, I can't argue Sami Zayn is such a great fit in WWE. He does the style they want so well, and is able to make the usually unfunny comedy stuff work.
  21. Chris Adams needs to be in every HOF for being a pioneer, he was the first person I remember to use a superkick as a finish.
  22. Yeah it would be interesting for them to mention that feud and reveal Steph was involved in that dark era of women's wrestling she bravely fought back against by having the Horsewomen have matches on NXT.
  23. Trish would be okay in a "one era's top female star inducts another's" sense, but part of me would love to see what kind of speech Steph "I invented feminism" McMahon would come up with.
  24. Sable was such a big star it kind of feels wrong to have her overshadowed by Taker, but I couldn't see Vince wanting to have her headline a HOF class unless Brock insisted it.
  25. That, and I'm sure Rick gave him a call like "please don't fuck this up for my boy"
