Are we to believe this dude pulled out a tape measure while being screamed at? Height alone isn't going to be enough to determine who it was since all 3 could be reasonably considered to fit the bill by just eyeballing them.

I was thinking either Billy Gunn or Dustin, I don't think DDP has any official management duties.
-
IIRC they already announced the Tokyo Dome will be at like 40% capacity or something.
-
This is interesting since being in a domed stadium will give them the ability to have socially distanced crowds again, with the plan being to have a full crowd show for the day after Mania. The problem is COVID is going to blow up like a MF due to everyone ignoring the rules and gathering with family for Thanksgiving/Christmas/New Years so their timing will end up being horrible.

It doesn't seem that unusual, I have pretty much everyone I've recently texted with listed on my phone. She probably went to the most recent convo thinking it was Jon and it wasn't. I've done that before a time or two.
-
Speaking of Rhea, she nearly Mick Foley'd her ear on the ring apron tonight, Jesus.
-
Even better was Renee mentioning on Twitter she accidentally told Bayley via text thinking she was talking to Jon.

Big Will joining Team Taz was unexpected, but if it means he's in line for a push I'm down.

Serena and Rosa out here stealing the show.

I liked the match, but Young Bucks/Top Flight reminded me of the "Spider Man pointing at Spider Man" meme.

I know it might sound like I'm full of it because of how I criticize him here, but Cornette was one of my favorites in my early period of wrestling fandom. It truly makes me sad to see him go full "shitty message board troll account" in his old age.

If like 99% of his body of work was in Japan, why shouldn't be be on the Japanese section of the ballot? I don;t think the last year of AEW was what put him over the top.

Rock's a rasssler, I believe he'll always *want* to wrestle until the day he dies, it's literally in his DNA. I also believe he's smart enough to know that pales in comparison to the next $20 million (or more) check he gets to make his next movie. Plus I think he knows he's taking too many.....uhh....supplements to be able to wrestle since he tore every muscle in his body the last time.
-
I don't think Rock will ever come back to wrestling, but I would like to see what would happen if he expressed interest in having a match with Roman. Considering he broke his no politics rule to publicly endorse the opponent of Vince's BFF which VKM trait would win: his legendary pettiness or his willingness to put nearly everything aside to make money. (Plus there's also the small detail of the people who insure Hollywood productions to not want him to go near the COVID pit that is WWE even if he wanted to do it)

Of all the things to try to work up anger over, the weird Dave obsessives tried to have a go at him for saying Seth Rollins is going to take some time off after Survivor Series when Becky gives birth. They were trying to gotcha him over assuming her due date, and people were rightly pointing out how nutty it is to be mad at someone for counting to 9.
-
Everything Roman does feels new now since he's finally being used the proper way for the first time since the Shield was wrecking fools. Roman vs Drew would feel like an actual Mania caliber match now as opposed to yet another "lets anoint Roman" match that ends with him getting the rug pulled from under him.

Orton has been having a good year, he's also been giving a shit much more than usual as well. Gotta admit I didn't expect the year of no crowds and pandemics to be the one where he found motivation.
-
Goddamnit this pandemic sucks because Big Money Drew vs the Tribal Chief would be an amazing draw right now after the promos they can do.

DREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEW

You're probably right, but it's been kind of mind blowing to me that the only person he's been made to look like a geek against was Vince himself (which happens to everyone in the company) and that is insane to me considering the people who have been in that role before.
-
Is it me or is it kind of weird how of all the people they've had in the role of authority on Raw, it's Adam Peirce who gets treated with the most respect of any non McMahon who's been in that role?
-
If Vince's rule of not hyping a match you aren't planning to deliver, you'd think Drew wins here since they are clearly pushing for him vs Roman.
-
Funny how Lana got put through a table about 47 million times and is still available for Survivor series, but Mandy & Dana are out after one attack each.
-
I don't begrudge anyone getting whatever work they can these days, but I admit that was a head scratcher for me too.

So I've been listening to the Wrestling Game Rewind show, thanks to a helpful little birdie. The first show was kind of meh, a lot of obvious reading of Wikipedia pages (referring to AKI as it's current company name for example), and a lot of "eh I don't remember" in response to a lot of the questions, which is understandable considering the infamously brutal workload video game devs live through, but there were some interesting tidbits. For example, and I never thought about it at the time, but the makers of the WCW vs the World game were the first people to see Sting's new crow look since WCW wanted him featured on the cover. It was also clear the reason the games were so good is because the devs involved were big fans of Japanese wrestling games (which were far superior to anything the US was getting at the time). They also made notice of how all the people from the original Japanese version got ridiculous names and realize how unfortunate in hindsight that Road Warrior Hawk was renamed "Overdose". The second episode was much better, partly I think due to having the format a little more sorted and also due to them having extra folks involved in the discussion to minimize the "I don't remember" answers. It was interesting to hear them answer a question that I always was puzzled by at the time, as to why some folks in WCW weren't in the game. Nash and Hall's WCW deals were still being finalized at the time of development, and folks who split time in New Japan like Scott Norton had their primary contracts in Japan and they didn't have the rights to include them in a WCW game. It's also interesting (and so very WCW) that it seems clear that WCW saw this game primarily as a way to promote Crow Sting and kind of ended up going ass backward into releasing the best wrestling game the US had seen up to that point. It also seems like they were keeping up some kind of video game industry kayfabe when talking about how all the magazines were pushing wrestling games so hard as if it wasn't an open secret in the game biz that magazines will pimp any game the publisher puts the cash up to promote. Now to be fair if the game sucks it won't last longer than a month or two, but anyone who has a stash of old gaming mags can see how chock full of hype for games that were clearly piles of shit. All in all there is a lot of interesting info mentioned, it definitely seems like a show that will get better the more episodes that they do. If you're like me and happen to be someone who's known about the inner workings of both the wrestling and video game industries you won't necessarily find out any previously unknown details but it's been fascinating to listen to the devs discuss what ended up kicking off a golden age of wrestling games.
