  1. Not sure if typo or if she really does have great abs and I never noticed lol
  2. The bloom started to come off the rose when it became clear that for all the talk/hope of NXT being the Great Hope of Wrestling, it was apparent that none of the people there were going to get a chance on WWE main roster TV without getting their legs cut off. It created a feeling of "why bother getting invested when they will just get ruined when they get called up" which cooled off a lot of the enthusiasm a lot of people had.
  3. In all of this we're ignoring the weirdest part: that Kofi is somehow out for 6 weeks or more from being put through two tables. That happens all the time and people are back the next show with no scratches. As far as Big E goes, there's no reason WWE doesn't go all in on a big singles push other than the obvious one. Dude is a walking money printing machine, yet WWE has been fine leaving him as a tag guy which wouldn't be as bad if WWE didn't give zero F's about tag teams.
  4. Yeah but that appearance was after he was accused of sexual assault, which is a deal breaker no matter how over you get yourself.
  5. I realize it's way down the list of problems here, but why is Murphy dressed like he arrived at the building right after going surfing?
  6. Well Dominic has the babyface comeback down, I'll give him that. Yeah but there's not much they can do since Austin Theory got banished to the Phantom Zone due to covid (I assume).
  7. I mean if anyone could pull it off it would be her, but her style and gimmick was far better suited for working heel.
  8. From what Dave has mentioned, it's just what foreigners have always been called and wrestling is wrestling no matter where in the world it's based and just keeps using the term. Also it seems that Americans wrestling in Japan especially kind of took ownership of it and kind of made it "their word". Not that it makes it okay, but Japan has a very......terse relationship with any race that isn't Japanese.
  9. I long for the olden days where wrestlers were more concerned about making sure they were the ones who got over and not the all important BRAND.
  10. If Black Thought was the one who did it, it wouldn't be a double standard as much as a dude of the same race trying to point something out. "White person attempts to educate black person on race" is never going to go well no matter what because of the dynamics in play. Calling it a double standard is some "why can't white folks use the n-word" shit. When there's a disparity in power/privileged/etc, someone of the race that has the privilege should know when to STFU and that was one of those times. Plus there's no evidence Keith Lee is an idiot, if anything it's quite the contrary. I would wager it was probably done since it's the obvious joke considering he's a large black man and it's his way of beating people to the punch and making it first. To be fair we are talking about professional wrestlers so one cannot completely dismiss the possibility that someone is an idiot, it just doesn't seem to be the case here.
  11. Yeah that was kind of what caused the fuss on Twitter, Bruce's intentions were probably in the right place but he came off as an old dude whitesplaining to Keith Lee about what is racist. Like he obviously named the move himself and most likely did it to "take the piss" like the Brits say, he doesn't need to be lectured about it.
  12. To be fair, there's probably a non zero chance that it's Hunter writing Vince's tweets.
  13. It's a pretty common one in the adult industry, and also common for folks seeking out a particular style of said content.
  14. From the Observer site:
  15. So I'm a little embarrassed to admit that until Bruce Mitchell had his little Twitter outburst about it I never made the connection that Keith Lee's finish was named the BBC. I was stuck on what a stupid name "Big Bang Catastrophe" is that my brain never took the next step to look at the initials.
  16. Seeing what Woods comes up with for his gaming channel confirms that for me, the things he does there are more creative than anything WWE could hope to think of.
  17. Absolutely, but it scares me sometimes how much he wants to prove he's the same person after the neck injury. I'm not saying he needs to become completely mat based but the whole "taking spots on the neck just to show he can" needs to go.
  18. Jay White tweeted a pic from an airplane not too long ago so I assume he went back to Japan and will be returning as soon as the quarantine time is over. Hopefully he spent the down time at home since New Zealand did a pretty good job managing things.
  19. Normally yes, but because the season was so delayed and Americans are so starved for sports I would expect baseball to get a longer bump than usual. Plus baseball is the only game in town for a few weeks since NBA and NHL playoffs don't start for another week or so and football doesn't start until September. So sports deprived folks here are going to be mainlining all the baseball they can get.
  20. Corbin has potential as a midcard dick heel that terrorizes the jobbers but ends up losing to the top guys.
  21. Dude had the one good match Bray Wyatt ever had, so while I agree it's an uphill battle the dude is no stranger to attempting the impossible. There were some signs of long term planning being set up, which would have been an improvement, but yes there was a lot of wishful thinking being placed on those first few weeks.
  22. My personal favorite is when people refuse to admit Vince has final say on Smackdown when they do something they like. When SD is good, it's because it's the stepchild Vince ignores and when it's bad it's because Vince is paying too much attention.
  23. This would seem to be a good place to remember the old quote of keeping an open mind about what things work. If something you don't think will work ends up working you just learned something else that does in fact work. This is why I (and I would imagine others too) give AEW more of a pass on things. They aren't afraid to try things and see what works. Not sure I would have thought having a wacky backstage brawl complete with guys tossing meat at each other was the best idea, but it turns out it worked so it's on me to realize that.
  24. So the end of the Bucks vs Butcher/Blade garnered over a million viewers. Wasn't expecting that to be such a hit, but here we are.
  25. This seems like pretty good news. I'd wager Bryan has been helping out with SD for a while and this just makes it official. He's one of the best I've ever seen at getting people over and that's something WWE sorely needs. Edge has always been a pretty creative guy, so this gives him an outlet for that which doesn't involve him risking his own body. I get the vibe from him that he's the type of guy who doesn't think others can understand his art (see how butthurt he got over the Mania match), so I expect Twitter rants in the future if whatever his pitches doesn't get lavish praise.
