He took something that probably was going to happen (nearly everyone not feuding for the WWF title had a run with IC belt at that time) and turned it into Definitely A Thing That Was Going To Happen, just because it was in that period of time where wrestling fans were discovering the internet but hadn't really found out about newsletters yet.

It's been mentioned somewhat, but Gedo grew up a huge fan of US territorial wrestling so it would make sense he would want to focus on making new stars/find headliners since that was the Achilles' Heel of those groups.

I would hope the plan was to have it be more of a flat back bump on the stairs, and they just underestimated where to position them. If that happened as planned, yikes.

Maybe it's just me, but Kross seems smaller physically than he was before. I suppose it's either being limited to only WWE approved "supplements" or working with guys closer in size than he has before, but he just doesn't have the aura he had elsewhere.

Baba gets all the props (as he should) for going with what the crowd clearly was clamoring for, but Jumbo deserves some as well for being a pro and going along with the finish being changed at the last moment. I don't think most guys in the US in his position would have done so without pitching a fit.

Ol' Scooter has always been that way, saying things wrong authoritatively so they sound correct. I'm not even saying he does it on purpose, I think he just assumes a lot of things and never bothers to make sure he's right. It's one of the (many) reasons people tended to make fun of him back in the day. There's still some things stated as fact to this day on the pro wrestling interwebs that everyone just assumes were true that started off as Keith-isms.

Doesn't seem fair to rate them based on their WWE main roster work when we've seen what they can do in a different environment. It would be like grading the Rock solely on his Blue Chipper Rocky days (not to say they are at the level of the Rock but you know what I mean).

Thats the thing with labeling people like Lio and ACH as immature, if they were trying to do things the right way and ran into endless roadblocks, who can blame them for getting so frustrated that they lash out?

Lio has his issues, but if someone doesn't feel comfortable being a lackey for the boys (especially someone who's black) then the company should respect that. If Aleister is ok with it then fine, but the expectation shouldn't be that anyone *has* to do it. Not to mention that race aside, the whole "dues paying" idea is some carny bullshit that should have stopped generations ago but it's one of those things that live on because people feel if they were treated shitty then the next group in should be made to as well.
