Alexa got mad on Twitter about the crowd shitting on their match last night. It's a real sign of kool-aid consumption when you lash out at the paying customers rather than the company that put you in that position.
(and yes I know she can't really rail at the company on social media, just pointing out it's not a good look to lash out at the crowd for not being eternally grateful they were subjected to a TWENTY FOUR MINUTE elimination match.)
Alexa looking more like her off-TV normal self without all the excess eye makeup was interesting. Normally they don't change the presentation of the women like that.
I seem to recall that they were, but it's short sighted. They can't bring back legends every week since it's been proven nostalgia quickly has diminishing returns, and very few fans that come back for those shows end up sticking around past that week. Basically they get one decent rating then it's back to normal. Plus they're about a month and a half away from football coming back and murdering their ratings.
Well it's not like Brock was being left out of the title scene before Heyman got control. As long as he keeps giving him these bazillion dollar contracts, Vince is going to feel like he needs to be champ to make it not seem like he's wasting money.
They spent all that time just building up Ronda, Charlotte, and Becky. Now one's gone, one's been off TV for months, and Becky's been on newbie detail.
This also kind of exposes how silly it is to have an EXTREME RULES match but the men can only fight the men and the women can only fight the women, all with proper tags.
We know they're awesome, but why would the average fan in the crowd give a shit about this match when they've been conditioned to not care about the tag team division?
