It's a very Vince-like mindset to dismiss something that has proven to get over and be a draw as "go nowhere".

You say that, yet WWE would kill for any of their guys to be over with their crowds as The Bucks or Omega are with AEW crowds.

To think WWE had both those guys under contract, they pitched doing this angle to them (probably very similar to how they are doing it now) and WWE was like "nah, we pass". Now granted Cody was still a midcard nobody who didn't have a few years to wash the Stardust stink off him, but if AEW turns into something people will probably look back at this like how people look at WCW having Taker, Austin, and Foley under contract and doing nothing with them.

I'm not saying I don't do it sometimes too, but we need to train ourselves not to use "pro wrestling" when we really mean to say WWE. I know it gets the dummies going all "HURR DURR FIVE STARS IN THE DOME AMIRTE" to Dave, but New Japan really does do some strong storytelling. There's tons of examples in the indies that do as well. We shouldn't paint the whole business with a broad brush because WWE sucks at it.

I assumed he was taking a break since it was documented when he re-signed that he had more time off in his new deal. I was making a joke about how he's been far and away the MVP of the company on promo ability.

Man, I wonder if the injury that Bryan had that kept him out after Mania was his back from carrying this whole goddamn show for so long.

Looks like the Raw ratings recovered slightly this week, so at least we hopefully can be spared any more Panic Mode Vince moments.

Kevin Von Erich's sons signed a deal with MLW. It always amazes me that they would want to be involved in wrestling after what their family went through.

Everyone looking like geeks is the direct result of decades without competition, leading to guys walking on eggshells afraid to get fired since it was the only game in town. When the company has all the leverage, there's no impetus to create stars because why bother? Not having to appease top guys by keeping them strong so they don't leave is one of the more underrated aspects of WWE being the only game in town.

Now Lars doing cool stuff and murdering people happens in front of a crowd who just had to sit through the Revival acting like dogs with itchy assholes.

It's amazing that WWE feels the need to humiliate the Revival for turning down an offer, yet the tag titles on one show are on a jobber team, and there's only 4 actual teams on the other (which includes the Colons who have been in the phantom zone forever).

Especially when all the data shows WWE shows are declining at a faster rate than the rest of TV.
