Jesus Christ at all of that..... To be fair, there were probably weren't any drugs left in that town after the Von Erichs came through.

A tiered network is pretty much a done deal, they've already talked about it in their investor meetings. They are just waiting to finish the UK and India TV deals before announcing it.
-
When the LBoA was found, it was mentioned that there was tons of Omni footage unlabled in the Turner archive that the WWE team was sifting through.
-
It's been a MAJOR sore point in the city. Not only did the owner promise to keep them in town before leaving, the NBA has been using them as leverage for other teams to get better arena deals.

Ronda nearly losing Ruby on the gutwrench, only to muscle her back up went from scary to an impressive show of strength.

Narrarator Voice: Amazingly, they did. Although amusingly enough Hulk still basically ended up the victor despite being on "Team WWF".
-
They're showing a really obnoxious ad for Super-Showdown in between episodes on the Network now, just a shot of the main eventers with a loud BWWAAAAAA sound several times louder than the regular volume.

I would assume introspection isn't Vince's strong suit, but I wonder if it ever occured to him he's the 2018 version of what he thought Ted Turner was in 1996. Crazy billionare who puts effort into trampling down the "independent producers". Also lol at Vince calling himself that in 1996.

The list for the upcoming Ted DiBiase collection looks good (any time we get Georgia stuff is a win for me), but I was hoping they would include the match from Boston where Ted was billed as WWF Champion and was wearing the belt since it took place in the week between when the Hulk/Andre match took place and when they announced the WM4 tournament on TV. I guess since it's not WWE Canon it never happened.

I took a break on this and went back recently, finally got to the Briscos' heel turn and damn is it a difference. I've never seen Jack outside of Florida and here, was he a heel anywhere else? If not that was money left on the table.

By not letting promoters get one over on him like most guys did (and still do). Plus he knew his bread and butter was in Japan and anything he made elsewhere was basically "fuck you" money, which is what he said when promoters tried anything.

I wonder how many people who would be considered knowledgeable about lucha have a vote. I would imagine Steve Sims has a vote, and cubsfan stated he would give his to Fredo in a heartbeat.

The coda to the Horsemen story is that they ended up deciding to give Tully the fourth spot, but he got his contract offer revoked because he got fired from the WWF for failing a drug test.
-
I don't begrudge anyone for looking to get paid, but someone like Joey wouldn't be able to do any of the things that make him stand out in WWE. He probably would be able to do some stuff in NXT, but he would either be a 205 guy or cannon fodder on the main roster.

I always heard that the suitcase with "Relax with Trudi" was a reference to what ended up the Adorable gimmick (as in it was an alter ego/split personality he kept the gear for in the case), but that might have been just a retcon after the fact. I believe he was at the first taping after WM3, but whatever happened to get him fired must have happened pretty quickly after that since I don't recall seeing him again on WWF TV. The only time I recall seeing a photo of him bald was in WWF Magazine which would have went to press well beforehand. My personal theory was always that Vince was pissed that he took a gimmick meant as punishment and not only ran with it but got it over. Which would be funny if that was the case because Dusty would end up doing the same thing a few years later.

This has always been a mystery to me, what exactly happened at the end of Adonis' WWF run. Obviously he came back and did the match with Piper, only to disappear immediately afterward and ended up in the AWA. I've never heard/read anything definitive on it other than the suggestion the Adorable gimmick was punishment for him gaining weight, only for him to gain even more weight afterward and that was the "irresponsibility" mentioned.

This Becky/Charlotte thing is so similar to the lead up to the Austin/Bret double turn except for the fact that was planned and this is the fans doing it for them. -

It looks like Brie was looking at the Riot Squad's corner and not the person she was throwing kicks at, which led to the first one pegging Liv in the jaw. She clearly wasn't looking at her on the second kick since Liv was slumped down on the way to the mat while the kick was still in motion. The ref should get the most heat out of anyone really. He should have stepped in and called it the moment it was clear she was knocked out. -
Vampiro's probably the one you could argue the most, but the guy was a big star in the 90s in and out of wrestling. He probably gets hurt by most WON readers only knowing him from his goofy WCW run.

I haven't listened, but I would assume the grossed out wrestler was Dusty considering how mad he was at their relationship.

I feel when it's all said and done for Randy Orton he's going to be the wrestling equivalent to a ballplayer who amassed a lot of stats because they played for a real long time. Someone you'd look at the numbers and be surprised but then you remember they were around for a millon years so of course. Plus it's hard to get behind a guy as an all time great when he gave a shit about 25% of the time at best. Granted, he was usually really good in that 25%, but there's way too much of him not caring to say he's HOF material. -

Ruby's face after that shot was pure "Motherfucker...." I wouldn't be surprised if that kick she threw had some extra zip on it as well. -
This is interesting, I hadn't heard about any beef between Sarge and Dusty before. It's not surprising since Sarge knew his worth and I can't imagine that would sit well with Dusty.

The Bobby/Lio stuff is weird. Both guys are better suited to be heels, but WWE has them be faces. It seems like they kind of want to recreate the Enzo/Cass dynamic only with better workers.
