The conspiracy theorist in me points to Hunter and Steph. Being in movies like The Chaperone won't do HHH any favors. My vote goes toward it being a vanity project for Vince to feel he's in legit entertainment since that's been the motivation for all his failed non-wrestling projects ever.

The funny thing was I read that line and literally was like "wait...what?" and had to re-read it. I don't know if it's better or worse that it seems that Dave's MMA bubble is more or less his pro wres bubble only with more mentions of rounds and less mentions of roids.

Sunny is like the female version of Goldberg in the sense that while her time may have been short but she was hugely popular for the time she was there. "Most downloaded person on AOL" sounds like the usual WWE hype bullshit, but she was the hottest chick in wrestling right at the time the internet started taking off. It is kind of ironic that she goes in the same year as HBK though, considering the role he played in what caused her downfall.

I know Babinsack is as low-hanging as low-hanging fruit can get on the internet, but there's nothing about that writeup that doesn't convince me his walls aren't covered in pictures of WSU girls like some kind of women athlete Beautiful Mind deal.

My wife is playing Family Feud for Wii. The question was "name a job that can risk your life" and one of the correct answers was "wrestling".

CM Punk has been gold since I've started following him on Twitter, him and Regal are by far the best wrestling-related people on Twitter.

I can't tell if he's serious or if it's really good trolling, but Eric Bischoff has been using his Facebook page as a soapbox to rant against the evils of unionization and government overspending. And yes, a good majority of people replying are pointing out the irony of the guy known as ATM Eric saying that.

Sometimes I wish they would put in a straight up jobber like Terry Gibbs in the HOF since it's the one last bastion of kayfabe where IT'S STILL REAL to everyone.

It's supposedly a combo of the Brock Lesnar Memorial "Burying the Guy Who Got the Megapush" deal to see if he can handle it and that Kevin Dunn didn't like Sheamus's look and wanted to change it. How dressing like the world's palest Lord of the Rings cosplayer was an improvement is anyone's guess, but I never stop laughing at Dunn being down on someone's look after seeing a pic of his ugly mug.

Did Graham's latest fallout with WWE happen before or after that DVD came out?

This. Anyone outside of the "main event" picks need someone to lobby for them, and I don't think anyone in a position to do so would go to bat for him.

Dave's always mentioning talking with Dana or something Dana tweeted, so I'm going to take a wild stab at who could be planting this seed in Dave's brain about no one knowing what Strikeforce is.
-
Rock just killed him again on Raw, so I guess one bright side all the gay jokes will probably be forgotten if they keep this up.

I'm just glad the Spirit Squad guys could find work in this economy.

Jerry seems to have a hard time accepting that time marches on, he didn't want to be put in the Hall of Fame because that's for old guys who are retired. Ironically his program with Miz might be proving him right to a degree.

Is this another one of those weird Dave blind spots where he won't hear any bad talk about someone who everyone else dislikes? I haven't seen anyone else not say Bruce is full of shit at best if not borderline crazy at worst. Dave seems to give him way more benefit of the doubt that he would anyone else on the same subject.

I would have to think Santo (Sr. not Jr.) would be a no brainer considering his status in Lucha. I don't think the country will shut down for a day of mourning when anyone else mentioned passes on.
-
If you think he used the pinwheel as a prop so people knew what he was talking about, you might have missed the point a little.

They don't want to induct Arn without having Flair there to do the honors. Abby's an odd choice considering he's never been in the WWF and that his style is the opposite of today's PG product.

Watching NWA TV on WWE 24/7 and those Four Horsemen fans in the front row who showed up in suits and sunglasses are always great.

dude's too good Sucks for him, but why do indy guys keep getting surprised that they're too small for WWE? It's not like it's some big secret that Vince marks for big jacked up guys. Honestly... he's 5 foot 9, 200 pounds, and 32 years old. What did he expect? The only way you're getting in with that size is if you have charisma like Punk or a rep for being a world class worker like Danielson. Aries has neither of those traits.

I decided to start a thread to discuss this year's nominees (other than HBK since I'm pretty sure everything's been said about that topic already). First up: "HACKSAW" JIM DUGGAN At first blush, this seems like a Nikolai Volkoff level induction, kind of a lifetime acheivement award for a loyal midcard guy. And really, it is, but there's more than just his WWF career to consider. Ted DiBiase is doing the honors for Duggan so you'd guess their time in Mid South would be discussed since there won't be any footage to show. Plus Jim's always had that special kind of attraction since I've always considered him the human equivalent to a big lovable mutt. You look at him and he's kind of funny looking and maybe a little dumb, but there's just something about him that makes you laugh a little every time you see him. He's always seemed to be a "what you see is what you get" kind of guy, which is a rarity in wrestling, and he could end up being the surprise tearjerker speech of the night between his stories of beating cancer and also when he talks about his father who I remember even got a mention in WWF Magazine back in the day when Duggan told a story about his dad being his hero. Hopefully WWE fans get to hear there was more to Hacksaw than a goofy guy with a 2x4. Or at least give him credit for inventing the now-famous WWE Hardcore Brawling With Weapons style with that backstage brawl with Harley Race at the Slammys.

Maybe, just maybe, they should have thought things out a little better before having Rock just obliterate their current top star. I think we had the discussion a while ago that completely burying someone is counterproductive for business, since if you bury someone then beat them all you did was beat a jabroni. My wife was a big fan during the attitude era and she was nodding in agreement when Rock was talking about how WWE went from Austin and Rock to "you can't see me". She even mentioned that's why she doesn't watch wrestling anymore. Even before his rap response they made Cena look like he was honored and grateful to have the Rock slaughter him and it really made him look like more of a chump than the Rock's promo did. Compare it to Miz, who not only pointed out how lame Rock's putdown of him was he turned it around to put himself over even more as a heel. It just was so odd that apparently Miz gets more protected by the writers than John Cena (at least on this occasion). Also: Not to get too POLITIXXXX here, but I'd wager of all the things going on in WWE they probably are upset about the homophobic stuff the least.

Lawler busting out the old school cape tonight, awesome.

I loved how they sold hard the INDESTRUCTIBLE GLASS~! surrounding the chambers then Wade gets thrown through two of them. Also of all the people in that match to do the lawn dart spot, it was odd to see Drew be the one doing it.
