I might like Seth more if he starting cutting promos about having to do bull fights. -
WWE TV 04/29 - 05/05 Bolsonaro's strategy is worse than Jon Snow's

It NEVER works. It never fucking works. And they keep doing it. It's fucking stupid. It's always been stupid. It always will be stupid. And it will never work. And it pisses me off, honestly, when people try to defend it. "This jobber that doesn't get TV time would get more chances!" Who gives a fuck? Half the roster could be fired and no one would even notice. If a non fan asks you who is the champ, you can't even answer without explaining the stupid shit. "Well, there's two 'brands', and each brand has a champion, and..." It was dumb the first time. It was dumb the second time. Now this is the third time, right? Still sucks. Still stupid. Still bad. Just history repeating itself. We'll get more irrelevant titles, more unification matches that no one gives a piss about, a bunch of filler TV with half-assed rosters & arbitrary rules that WWE breaks whenever they want anyway. It's terrible & just leads to more bad TV. -
Between the hype promos and the Jim Ross interview on Busted Open Radio talking about how he wants to make it sound like an athletic event, I have a lot of hope. I want to have something that's not cartoony. Like, if WWE is doing New Day stuff & whatnot, AEW should be trying to be a completely different, alternative product. So I'm hoping they go more in that direction & less in the Joey Ryan Penis Druid direction.

That video was dope. -
Obviously I'm a huge wrestling fan, as we all are. And I'm of course a current WWE Subscriber, as I'm sure most of us are. However, I also have Amazon Prime Video, Hulu Premium & Netflix. It's going to be hard to justify keeping WWE Network if they raise their prices or reduce their content for the tier that is the current price. At this point, streaming services are combining to be what it was to keep cable in the first place price wise. Which I feel like the continual raising of prices is a big reason for all of the cord cutting. So I really hope that the new tiered format offers what we currently get content wise for what we currently pay. If they add other tiers below that, fine. But I'm not going to pay more for what I already have or get less for what I currently pay for.

I have thoughts like this all the time. Not just due to the constant breaking of kayfabe but as much as a lot of various internet corners want to pretend that size doesn't matter, it absolutely does. Look matters in pro-wrestling. It always has, it always will. Going from Hogan Vs. Andre when I was kid to Kofi Vs. Owens when I'm an adult is... man. No one seems to have a gimmick anymore either. It's a bunch of First Name / Last Name individuals, sorry, SUPERSTARS, that just "want to have fun" (as Michael Cole would say) or some bullshit "chasing their childhood dream!" angle. Superstar Billy Graham said shit about Kofi recently, which Booker T. stuck up for Kofi. Now, I don't think we should be in the era of steroids & everyone looking like the Warlord still, but I get Graham's point. It's hard to get behind a guy that's 5'8" & 200 lbs, especially when they're supposed to be the top guy. The size doesn't matter, let's focus on workrate & giving star ratings to matches shit is exactly why wrestling is in the situation it's in right now. Wrestlers should not look like everyday people you could run into during your daily life.

I watch it most weeks. It's a lot of fun. I'm loving Contra, Selina, & a few other people. Liked Schiavone when he was on commentary, like Cornette on commentary. It's a fun watch. There's just not a lot of discussion about it around here & the shows feels like they're happening in a vacuum & really don't mean anything. The roster DOES frequently use people that I will never give one single iota of a fuck about though. Guys like Sami Callihan or Jimmy Havoc. Just not gonna happen.
-
And of course the infamous Andre ripping off Hogan's crucifix & challenging him for the title at Wrestlemania.
-
Nothing says Main Event World Heavyweight Championship feud like Kofi Kingston Vs. Kevin Owens.
-
I'm definitely, totally here for Usos Vs. Revival. I hope that shit lasts for six months.
-
Personally speaking, I thought it was wrestlecrap. Could it potentially turn into something cool? Well, it's Bray Wyatt & WWE, so also no.
-
My god. Imagine the inevitable Seth Rollins Vs. Robert Roode match. Shoot me now!
-
Too bad he has zero charisma & is about as entertaining as watching paint dry. At least in TNA he had Beer Money. The only thing he has now is a gimmick theme song. That's it. James Storm carried his ass in TNA. Robert Roode is fucking buttered white Wonder Bread. As generic as they come. No clue why WWE hired him in the first place, let alone called him up to the main roster. There's twenty guys on the roster that do what he does better than he does it.

Well goddamn, what does Arn Anderson know? He's just an old 'rassler. WWE is sports entertainment, pal! Arn Anderson? Who did he ever beat!? Har Har Har Har!
-
I feel like there's going to be a lot of masked skinny dudes doing run-ins at Indy shows now.
-
They did their version of WWE Cribs which is kind of cool. Specifically the Al Snow one where they show all of his hockey jerseys that he owns & he puts them all on at once.

You know all of those WWE.com exclusives where a backstage interviewer catches up with a wrestler backstage during commercial breaks or whatever? Put those on the fucking show. A couple of promos Briscoes style wouldn't hurt either. As in, not in the middle of the ring holding a microphone for 15 minutes. But like sending in a tape of their response kind of thing. From on location. Also, it's the little things that kill me & make it all feel overly fake or overly produced. The people standing 3/4th of the way toward watching the backstage monitor because it looks better for the camera shot. The people in the rings always having to face the hard cam or moving their moves in that direction making 1/4th of the crowd feel invisible, the catchphrases/buzzwords. The quick camera cuts & constant zooming. Just headache inducting. Three person commentary. Gotta go. Honestly, I think it's time they ditched the color brand association too. It's part of the reason why everything feels stagnant. RAW HAS to be red. Smackdown HAS to be blue. Why? Just make a nice set that looks modern & feels fresh. Here's something I would love to see: Wrestler A - Good Guy. Wrestler B - Good Guy. Wrestlers B beats up Wrestler A. So now Wrestler B is a Bad Guy and Wrestler A is a good guy. Some time down the road, Wrestler B becomes a good guy again. WRESTLER A SHOULD STILL HATE WRESTLER B. Ditto if Wrestler A becomes a bad guy. Even just adding that continuity would go a long way. Or at least do some sort of segment where they make up but Wrestler A is still weary or whatever. The babyfaces are all stupid & too cookie cutter. Like a wrestler shows a ton of personality as a heel & as soon as they turn face, they forget all of that stuff. No more authority figures. Either heel or face. If you have to do something like that, we should know about matches ahead of time & just have "the WWE committee" or whatever that are never shown but occasionally acknowledged. Here's a big one: treat your fans with respect. Don't insult the intelligence of the viewer & also don't assume that you have to replay everything after every single commercial break. The people are watching the show. They know what happened. If someone channel flips over, that's what the commentators are for. Tell them what happened.

When does the next episode come out? I really enjoyed the Brody one. EDIT: Apparently, according to Twitter, the Savage/Liz episode is tonight.
-
I would rather watch a 30-minute Ironman match between Dolph Ziggler & Triple H at this point than more 20+ minute Seth Rollins main events.
-
Seth Rollins sucks. He's REALLY bad. Bad in-ring worker, bad character, bad promo. Sucks as both a babyface & a heel. His year long reign as The Authorities Champion was fucking PAINFUL. Yet, for whatever reason, a lot of internet wrestling fans - such as on Twitter or Reddit - love the fucking guy. I don't get it. He's infinitely worse than Sheamus. As a worker, a character & a promo... but people on those same corners of the internet act like Sheamus is gutter trash while Seth is the goddamn messiah. It really blows my mind. The amount of people I've read today talking about Wrestlemania last night & putting Seth Rollins in the same conversation as Kofi Kingston & Becky Lynch as feel good moments just completely baffles me. I. DON'T. FUCKING. GET. IT. What the hell am I not seeing in this jobber? Bad selling, goofy facial expressions, always having to get his shit in, terrible look... Seth Rollins to me is the generational gap that seems to appear whenever I leave PWO. He's the animated .gif & social media wrestler. The guy that represents the fans that grew up with RVD & HBK (or later) that think Harley Race & Terry Funk are boring. It's like prowrestling is passing me by. I feel like Jim Cornette. Seth Rollins is fucking terrible. Regardless of that deflated ending to the RAW after WrestleMania, with The Bar doing a run-in - instead of having a debut or angle that people give a crap about... Seth is the damn champion again & the TV is going to be unwatchable on whichever show he's on until he drops the title again. I was confused last night when people were happy he won. I didn't think he should have been the one in the title match with Brock in the first place.

Like, it's not even close. You can't suspend your disbelief for that. It completely killed the finish.
-
No one cares that she won with a roll-up. The problem is the ref counting when the shoulders weren't even close to being down.
-
and they botched the finish!?
