  1. He doesn't suffer from a lack of footage. He worked WWF in the 70s, there is lots of footage.
  2. Guys, Dory is only working 8/23 in August okay. 8/25 clear for all of those guys.
  3. 4. He wrote me back again. I sent him all the dates. Love that guy.
  5. Can Taker even take a suplex any more? What is Brock going to do?
  6. Cena doesn't go over because of this: http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/31571-a-theory-on-cena-being-us-champ/ My interest in this show: 7/100
  7. Dory. Mr. Saito. Bob Orton Jr. Harley Race. The Steiners (in Tag)
  8. Interesting Chad, because the ways things are going, he's probably going to end up above Kawada for me.
  9. So Kobashi above Flair is a shock for me Chad. What brought this on?
  10. A lot of trolling.
  11. Where's Stan Hansen?
  12. I must apologise in advance for my appearance on this show, which I think is bottom 2-3 Parv podcast appearance ever. Will and Kris were both great and you should definitely listen, but when we got to 97, I was talking about a show I hadn't seen in 18 years, and was drawing a blank. Just apologies in advance. I like to put out what I think is quality content, and I didn't think I was up to snuff on this one. I was working flat out that week, with little down time and was running on fumes for this show with no prep.
  13. http://placetobenation.com/where-the-big-boys-play-74-wrestlewar-92/ Chad and Parv return to watch Wrestlewar 92. [07:32] Bumper Observer Roundup from March to June 92: Vince McMahon on Donahue, goodbye to Kip Allen Frey and Jack Petrick, hello to Bill Watts and Bill Shaw, Luger legal issues and the WBF, comparison of WWF and WCW live gates as opposed to TV ratings. [1:03:30] Review of Wrestlewar 92: Yeah! Yeah! Yeah! The Freebirds are still around, Ron Simmons: midcarder, Pillman vs. Zenk, does Steiners vs. Fujinami / Iizuka retain its impact in 2015?, where does this War Games rank in all-time matches?, ranking all of the War Games matches to this point. [2:30:00] End of show awards
  14. Oooh not seen these Pete. Dates?
  15. Not from what I've seen which is only his early JCP and then WCW runs. I've seen him in TV studio matches too. I still have to get through Memphis 80s set, but my perception so far is that the TV / booking are better then the in-ring product. I'm only up to 1981 mind.
  16. Only three guys with a shot at my 100 from these are Slater, Lane and Pillman.
  17. If you'd like to do that by uploading 323 tracks across over 12 different shows (including two that you feature on prominently yourself), manually plugging each one into an RSS feed, and ensuring that the URL of every entry is re-edited on PTBN, be my guest.
  18. This is mental. LOL
  19. Leaving this thread now. Love Funk though.
  20. Oh hold on, Funk of course. Terry Funk is #2. Or Lawler.
  21. I guess the conversation for #2 spot might be interesting. Arn would likely be top 10 (phenomenal promo).
  22. My fave Summerslam match is Warrior vs. Savage at 92. Love all the BS around it.
  23. Actually, Bob is not purely "technical" in that sense. He was working in the house that Bruno built and the WWF style was more punchy-kicky always. Even if Backlund was a lot more technical than what WWF fans were used to, he still has a lot of brawl-y elements in his game. He's kind of scrappy in a way.
  24. The reason it's just in-ring and not total package, is because if it was total package, Flair curbstomps all as the only guy who is in both the GOAT in-ring and GOAT promo conversations. I don't think there is any peer when it comes to everything. Flair's a better in-ring worker than Dusty, Rock, Austin, Piper, Foley etc. and a better talker than any US-based worker with a big rep you care to name (Steamboat, Benoit, Angle, HBK, Eddie, Bryan, Rey, etc. etc.), and the Japanese guys we don't know about as promos. I think Flair is so far and away in front the number 1 in terms of total package, that it would seriously detract from there being any point in running the thing.
