  1. One of the scarecrows is overacting.
  2. I'm wondering how much Vince is going to eviscerate Steph later after she called him "Junior" in front of millions of people on his biggest show of the year.
  3. I feel they overplay The Rock card somewhat.
  4. Totally with you Will. Nice to see a good old-school finish to a good old-school feud and match. Refreshing that we've only actually had 3 false finishes so far on this entire card.
  5. But you don't want to bury your ace no matter what the context. But also, if he's fighing for USA, and it's already 1-0 to Russia, you want to make it 2-0 to Russia? Sometimes you have to stick to booking basics. Rusev can take this loss and comeback because the audience (note: AUDIENCE, not just live crowd) need their hero to win. There is no ace in history that could withstand having his balls cut as badly as losing twice to an up and coming heel and being relegated to fueding for a secondary title. None in history.
  6. I seriously don't get this. Cena has had big losses to Lesnar and Rusev in recent memory. High profile losses too. And they've made it USA vs. Russia. If Rusev wins I think it could actually kill business. Arn and Tully over Road Warriors. I don't even think Bruno or Hogan were untouchable enough to survive three big losses in the space of a year.
  7. And those times when HHH has gone over is seen as great booking? There's no way Cena is losing this match. And nor should he.
  8. Since when do heels win blow offs at Wrestlemanias?
  9. I literally can't believe people think that Rusev needs to go over here. If Cena doesn't go over here, then I'll know Vince has truly lost it.
  10. Second best match of the main card so far after Orton-Rollins. With the caveat that HHH-Sting is beyond ratings or analysis.
  11. They popped for him at the Silverdome.
  12. One thing I have a problem with in the HHH-Sting match is the way they made it seem like Hogan was just another guy. I mean if you look just at what happened in that match, there was no real distinction between him and Billy Gunn. Mistreatment of a true legend.
  13. Lovely custom-made little segment for Bryan and all the hardcore fans. I'm wondering if they are thinking about trying to re-establish the IC belt as the workrate title? Did you see Flair's face when Bret walked in during his moment.
  14. In true late 90s fashion this match was booked by Russo. Handshake swerve! Funniest match in WM history. Absolutely hilarious from start to finish. And Sting's offense looked kinda good.
  15. This match from the entrances to now is a comedy masterpiece.
  16. One of the funniest things I've ever seen.
  17. It's occurred to me that Ric Flair might get himself involved in this match somehow. I'm hoping that happens now.
  18. Randy Orton has traditionally been one of my least favourite workers, but I thought he worked this really well. DiBiase scoop powerslam, Dory Funk Jr European uppercuts! Ha ha. Orton seems much better as this grizzled bad ass babyface than as the snake. I liked the methodical pace of this match and the structure. We got a good shine with Orton double DDTing the JJ security guys. A proper heat sequence from Rollins. A couple of hope spots, and then Orton controlled for a bit. I really didn't like Orton's reaction and acting around the kick out to the RKO, that was lame as fuck. I also question the wisdom of him kicking out of the curb stomp this early into the WM card. I mean how much do they want to do false finishes already tonight? When we have matches involving Cena, Taker and HHH to come? It's a sick finisher too. All of that said, a totally fucking awesome finish with the RKO countering the curb stomp. Just a terrific finish. Pat Patterson is in the building I'd like to think he helped, but great. Actually one of the best finishes I've ever seen. All in all, this was pretty enjoyable. ***3/4
  19. Silly match with no flow or psychology or anything. The spots and things felt very 2000 to me. Headbutts at the end were of note, but I didn't enjoy this at all. **
  20. As there are six men on the floor, I continue to think this concept is stupid.
  21. Great package on the IC belt. EDIT: And nice to bring out Patterson, a LEGEND in the Bay Area.
  22. I actually think they were going for a 20-year long view "WWE History" thing there rather than short-term plans. 1. Big Show's career highlight reel with the trophy. 2. To get the concept of the Andre Battle Royal over. 3. So that in 20 or 30 years time kids will look back in the record books and see that Big Show won it. I get what they were going for and why they did it.
  23. Shades of Virgil at Royal Rumble 91 here.
  24. Care to explain? This battle royal seems much more meaningingless to me now.
  25. Doesn't putting these matches on the pre show kinda bury them?
