What's the best way to beam the live streaming shows to my Apple TV box from my iPad? Seem to only get a cut poorer picture on the telly?

That's how I prefer it, no saves and no pre warning. If injury happens it's immediate. You can do an angle or something, but companies don't get to plan out there injuries in real life. Posted the injury wire... I understand the logic here... but the only reason I offered up what I did was to even out the 36 for the dice portion of it. You can still lose Martel for 6 months if he gets picked... just one of those chances. I'd like to keep some realm of control on it as some may lose interest if their number one star or favorite person is out for six-months... especially with there being no certified shelf-life of the game in general. Why not use a random number generator instead of dice then? Losing a number one star would make the game more fun in my book. Yeah, use Random.org to do this instead of a dice. It's a genuine random software. As for my suggestion, I totally understand, thus why I said it might be unpopular. But whatever we settle with, I'm fine. I'm happy to go with consensus...

Think it's a great idea, but being limited for the time being I'll pass, when I get to a place with quality I'll happily partake...

Woah, if I lost 6, it'll be Gatorwolf vs Falk headlining....

In 32 years that final will appear on powerbomb.tv under the Black Terry selection, personally I can't wait...

East Knoxville - Wright/Thatcher - The deal has been signed and Charlie Platt will be the new lead announcer for Smoky Mountain Wrestling weekly TV All Star Wrestling. Platt will continue with Continental as his home base and his main wage but will come across every Saturday morning to film TV in Knoxville. - We expect the roster to settle down over the next couple of weeks. Like with most promotions setting out, talent comes in and out expecting to be in a set position but that doesn't always pan out. Going forward the top guys look to be Brian Adias, Ron Starr and Gama Singh with a supporting cast of Don Kernodle, The Flame with Don Bass and Roger Smith. Guys like Ken Pat Rose and Phil Hickerson will mainly be used on house show loop as enhancement talent for the TV guys not in programs. - In probably the biggest news this week, "The King" Jerry Lawler has been brought in for selected dates. With Lawler being a free agent, he has struck a deal with Thatcher and Wright which will begin this week, it's believed he will be doing short skints every few months to pop the big Monday night shows in Knoxville (this is where the money is to be made on their loop), Lawler will be replaced by either Ken Lucas or Ken Timbs for the days he's not about. The expectations are Robert Gibson and Ricky Morton will sign a similar deal going forward. Les Thatcher and Ron Wright are going to push very hard for Lawler, Gibson and Morton to use Smoky Mountain as a base for when they aren't touring the country. - While the roster has a lot of quality, mostly unknown outside of the territory, Thatcher and Wright feel there are missing some top tier level guys and may have to look for working relationships with some of the bigger territories to bring younger guys in to add that extra star power. - WATE 6 out of Knoxville were very pleased with the first 2 weeks of TV, although they aren't overly keen on the name All Star Wrestling, back in the fall they tolled with the name Power Hour, which comes across a lot more modern and up to date. It'll be a work in progress over the next few weeks, but they will be trying several different ideas to the show feel different to the standard territory look. - Captain Lou Albano has been brought in to manage the Wild Hoggs, the Hoggs will be a face team very much in the mold of the Moondogs face run, and Albano as a mouthpiece will get the act over. - There is a feel in the promotion that although they were tag champs, the Battens aren't going to around too long. The feeling is they are being used to get Doug Vines and Jeff Sword under their gimmick as the Karachi Puraa's with leader Gama Singh, and then they will be done, this may change though, all depends on how Gama Singh can get the gimmick over.

I think theirs always going to be issues with this and its hard to get around, for example, Jerry Lawler is only booked for 16 dates and the Rok N Roll Express even less in April, thats unrealistic that their not wrestling every night. For match types, i think we had matches like the ones Low Bow talks about, but events on TV just weren't built around them, but the Cow Palace did build shows around Rumbles in this time period, Mid Atlantic would have 8 man tags, it just wasn't something you'd have on TV yet, none of these were original ideas, hell Stampede were having ladder matches and Memphis were having empty arena matches, so nothing is out of the question. All I would say is take time to introduce these as so they don't loose there aura. As for TV shows, Houston, WCCW and WWF would be putting on these mega shows before the PPV era but just in the local markets. Kevin if you want to book big shows for television but your feeling as if its not 'real' for the time, then just label them as supershows for that specific market and clip the matches for TV.

Monday 1st April 1985 Knoxville Civic Auditorium, Knoxville, TN Bell Time 19:30 In a dark match while the crowds flow into the Auditorium, Mike Jackson defeats Steve Gatorwolf in 6 minutes with a school boy pin. 1. Ken Lucas, Ken Timbs, Mike Jackson and Ron Ritchie defeat Phil Hickerson, Tom Lintz, Steven Dunn and Tony Falk in 8 minutes when Ken Lucas submitted Tony Falk with a Sleeper Hold in an action pack opener. - 2. The Wild Hogg's (JR Hogg and LK Hogg) lend to the ring by what seems to be they new manager Captain Lou Albano, defeat Larry Hamilton and Josh Stroud in 4 minutes in a dominate performance by the Wild Hoggs. - 3. Brian Adias defeats Pat Rose in 14 minutes in a really competitive match. Adias got the victory when he hit his signature Side Russian Leg Sweep on Pat Rose and covers him for the victory. - 4. The Karachi Puraa's (Vulkan and Mulkan Singh) with Gama Singh defeat The Batten Twins (Brad and Mark) for the Smoky Mountain Tag Team titles after 12 minutes of action. Half way through the match, Mark Batten fell awkwardly from the apron and twisted his ankle, leaving Brad Batten to defend for himself. This was too much for the Brad to battle on his own and the Puraa's took full advantage and got the win when Mulkan Singh came of the top rope with a knee drop to the head of Brad and the cover. - 5. In a 2 out of 3 falls match for the Smoky Mountain Heavyweight Championship, Don Kernodle defeated Ron Starr 2 falls to 1 in 18 minutes. The 1st fall, Don Kernodle caught Ron Starr off guard when he was jaw jacking with the front row and rolled him up for the 3 count are 2 minutes of action. The 2nd fall went 15 minutes when Ron Starr hit a DDT to Kernodle and covered him for the 3 count. The 3rd decision came when following Starr getting the pinful for the 2nd fall, he refused to let Kernodle to his feet to start the 3rd fall, leaving the referee no other choice but to call for the bell and disqualify Ron Starr. Starr continued his attack after the bell until Ken Lucas run to the ring to split up the attack. Due to the final fall going to a DQ, Ron Starr retains the Smoky Mountain Heavyweight Championship. - 6. Jerry 'The King' Lawler and The Memphis Vice (Lou Winston and Jerry Bryant) defeat The Flame and the newly announced Infernos (Torch and Fire) in 13 minutes in a contest that went all around the arena in a wild brawl. Jerry Lawler was super over with the crowd and got the victory when he hit his Piledriver on Fire and Lou Winston covered him for the 3 count.

Smoky Mountain All Star Wrestling Saturday 30th March 1985 Knoxville Civic Ballroom, Knoxville, TN Taped in front of a live studio audience at the Knoxville Civic Ballroom, Knoxville, TN Hosted by Charlie Platt and Les Thatcher Smoky Mountain Heavyweight Champion - Ron Starr Smoky Mountain Tag Team Champions - The Batten Twins (Brad & Mark) The opening credits roll and we join Les Thatcher for another exciting week of Smoking Mountain Wrestling All Star Wrestling, Thatcher welcomes the fans and introduces them to his new broadcast colleague Charlie Platt, Charlie Platt say’s its great to be back behind the desk in Knoxville. Platt goes on to runs down todays card, we have an exciting debut with Brian Adias is here, The Memphis Vice are here again and todays main event see’s The Flame versus Charlie Cook. But before we get to the action, I’d like to welcome Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler to the announcer desk. Jerry comes out to a hero’s welcome, he says he dropped by to promote his Jerry Lawler Show that is coming WATE 6 in the summer, Lawler goes on to say he’s going to join Thatcher and Platt for commentary today. === Commercial === Following the short break, Platt, Thatcher and Lawler are joined by new comer Brian Adias, Adias tells the fans it feels great to be here and he’s not here just to make up the numbers but to win championships. He goes on to say he grew up with the famous Von Erich family and if there’s one thing they taught him it’s how to win championships and that’s what he’s here to do, so he’s putting Ron Starr on watch. Brian rolls into the ring for his debut match. His opponent Steven Dunn is in the ring already, the bell rings and the action is under way. Steve Dunn jumps Adias at the bell, and takes control earlier on but it doesn’t take long for Adias to take control and after 6 minutes gets the victory following a side Russian leg sweep and the pin, great debut by Adias. === Run down of this week’s action coming to Smoky Mountain area === We return from the break and the Memphis Vice are out, they shake hands with Jerry Lawler and say it’s great to meet a Memphis legend and he must feel the same, as they get into the ring for their match. Their opponents this week are The Masked Interns, in a short competitive match the Memphis Vice get the win when Jerry Bryant gets a school boy roll up on Intern #1 for the win in 4 minutes. Following the victory, The Memphis Vice celebrate in the ring when two big masked men dress in similar ring gear to The Flame run to the ring and attack Bryant and Winston, a brawl ensues until the locker room empties to split them up. Lawler comments on how Smoky seems as wild as Memphis in the old days. === Commercial === We are back with Tommy Wright and Ron Ritchie in the ring, when The Great Gama Singh leads out his Karachi Puraa’s Vulkan and Mulkan Singh to the ring. The Puraa’s enter the ring clearly under the control of their leader Gama Singh, Singh removes their keffiyeh as they wait patiently for the bell to ring. As the bell rings Vulkan and Mulkan attack the team of Wright and Ritchie, and again like last week Gama calls them off and the match can get under way properly. After 3 minutes of sheer domination the Puraa’s get the win following a knee drop from the top rope from Mulkan to Ritchie and covers him for the victory. Gama Singh leads his team to the back, again telling Platt and Thatcher that there is no honour amongst the undisciplined, and his team are coming for the Batten Twins and their titles. === Run down of this week’s action coming to Smoky Mountain area === Les Thatcher, Charlie Platt and Jerry Lawler are joined by Smoky Mountain Heavyweight Champion Ron Starr. Starr tells Lawler that he should have been the one to get the TV show not him, he’s the Starr, Jerry Lawler laughs off this comment. Starr clearly annoyed by ‘The King’ seemily laughing off the champ, Starr tells Lawler he maybe the king in Memphis, but in Smoky Mountain its Ron Starr. Starr also has a message for Don Kernodle, you may think you came close to winning my title last week, but he’s wrong, he was in complete control. He continues by saying he doesn’t know how he’s managed to convince the championship committee to give him a rematch, but he has, that was his first mistake, the second was asking for a 2 out of 3 falls match, which means he can beat Kernodle twice in one night and finally put to bed Kernodle’s dreams of becoming a champion. Ron Starr exits the announcer’s area as we get set for our main event. === Commercial === We return with Charlie Cook in the ring with The Flame making his way to the ring, on his way he makes a point of getting in the face of Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler’s face and tells him to go back to Memphis. Charlie Cook takes offence to this and jumps out the ring and the match is underway. Cook and Flame brawl on the outside for a few minutes before returning to the ring. After several minutes of back and forth action, Charlie Cook looks like he’s about to finish off The Flame, Cook charges towards The Flame looking for a football tackle when The Flame pulls referee Paul Morton in front of him, who takes the tackle full force. The Flame, calls to the back when the two masked men come to the ring from earlier and attack Charlie Cook, it’s a 3 on 1 attack until from the back out runs The Memphis Vice, Jerry Bryant and Lou Winston, to try and make the save, The Flame and his two masked man take control of the situation using the numbers game to their advantage. The Flame and the two masked man continue their beat down when Jerry Lawler tells Charlie Platt and Les Thatcher that he’s seen enough and runs into the ring to even the numbers. Lawler and the Memphis Vice take control of the action and chase off the 3 masked men, Lawler says he has nothing to do this Monday night, and it’s okay with Les Thatcher, how about we do Jerry Lawler and the Memphis Vice versus The Flame and his goon squad, this get a great reaction from the fans in the audience, Les Thatcher says he doesn’t see why not and books the match, The Flame and the other two men don’t look happy at all. Lawler and the Vice check over Charlie Cook after his beating as the end credits roll, Charlie Platt and Les Thatcher thank the fans for tuning in this week and tells them we will be back the same time next week. === Show ends === (Due to having Jerry Lawler booked for the day I thought I'd share with you the House Show results from later that night in Kingsport, TN) - Ken Timbs, Ron Ritchie and Charlie Cook defeat Phil Hickerson, Steve Dunn and Tom Lintz - The Batten Twin's defeat The Karachi Puraa's via DQ - Brian Adias defeats Pat Rose - The Wild Hoggs defeat Larry Hamilton and Josh Stroud - Ron Starr defeats Don Kernodle - Jerry Lawler and The Memphis Vice defeat The Flame, Fire and Torch

One thing I love about southern wrestling from the territory days is that every Saturday TV is a go home show for the big event that week, Memphis and Southeastern being the kings of it back in the day. Your show here Gene is exactly that, a great go home show for this Monday night, and next week will have to be the same to sell the tickets. Kudos to you...

Certainly does that

Fuller looks like he's got one more run in him...

Harley Race would of been a fantastic base for Savage in 1985, Savage not at his peak in 1985 in my opinion, (I reckon that to be late 86) but Race would of made him look even more like a million bucks...
