  1. Kofi's line wasn't half bad either. I'll admit that when I saw The Final Testicle trending, I thought it had something to do with the Trump/Elon interview.
  2. Does Roman now become the Sammartino to Cody's Backlund or do they go in a different direction? Having to figure out what to do with two mega-over babyfaces is the kind of problem any promotion would love to have, but it is an interesting conundrum.
  3. Alicia did nothing wrong. Not only is there nothing inappropriate about informing your significant other that one of their coworkers is talking shit about them behind their back, it should be expected. There's also nothing wrong in principle with confronting a coworker who's talking shit about you behind your back, although MJF obviously crossed the line if he stormed into the women's locker room and punched a wall. In any event, Punk's comments about working with children have once again been vindicated.
  4. I've read reports/speculation that she was complaining backstage about MJF/Ospreay going too long. If that's the case, she is now my favorite wrestler in the company.
  5. They could also do Shane vs. Minoru Suzuki on a random Collision with no build.
  6. On the plus side, Christian would have a gold mine of father-related material to work with.
  7. He's just being a homer for his fellow yinzer.
  8. WarGames is an inherently flawed concept. If the match can't end until everyone is in the cage, there's no reason to care about anything that happens beforehand. Anarchy in the Arena (or at least the first one) manages to distill the best aspects of WarGames while eliminating the biggest flaws.
  9. New #1 for 2024.
  10. Maybe he wants to be Kamala's running mate. They'll win by double digits if he calls JD Vance a bathturd during the VP debate.
  11. Iyo/Utami is worth going out of your way to see. The best joshi match I've seen in quite some time.
  12. The speech went about as expected. And Trump blew Hogan a kiss. Seriously.
  13. Speaking of racism promos...
  14. The thing is, I don't remember Priest ever being presented as any kind of street urchin. He's always been a vaguely vampiric goth Latin ladies' man who practices archery. Beyond that, the race-baiting heel is another aspect of wrestling the way it used to be that belongs on the ash heap of history. And WWE should be bending over backwards to avoid doing anything that even hints at being racially charged. There can only be so many innocent mistakes before they stop warranting the benefit of the doubt.
  15. If you mean Peacock, I'd say so. The interface is a bit unwieldy and the ads are annoying, but you get all the old PPVs as well as old episodes of Raw and Smackdown. There's also a ton of non-WWE content to check out as well. Worst-case scenario, you cancel after a month and you're out six bucks. Alternately, Instacart+ includes Peacock membership and they offer a two-week free trial.
  16. Yeah, replace "x.com" with "twitter.com" in the URL to embed.
  17. I was under the impression that Mexican promotions didn't have contracts but booked on a per-appearance basis like in the old days. That would explain how guys like LA Park are able to come and go seemingly at the drop of a hat. Some more potentially interesting news on the women's front: it was recently revealed that Jordynne Grace's TNA contract had been amended so that it expires January 2025 instead of August 2025. The 2025 Rumble is on February 1st.
  18. MS-1/Sangre Chicana. That seems to be the go-to even for folks like myself who aren't normally fans of lucha.
  19. Jacob is by far the best worker in the Bloodline. A Jacob/Cody title match will bang hard.
  20. In fairness, he was likely concussed after hitting his head on the table. Still, this is Tonga Loa we're talking about.
  21. Cool list, nice to see someone else has Hijo del Santo/Brazo de Oro as their #2 apuestas match. I'm a bit surprised 1997 Santo/Casas and 1996 Santo/Dandy/Casas didn't make your top 100 since those matches seem to be universally revered among lucha enthusiasts.
  22. Only 11 more years until the Mets are off the hook.
  23. The WWF couldn't get a deal for WCW because TNN had exclusive rights to all WWF cable programming. That was what killed Vince's first attempt to buy the company in 2000. Trying to figure out who killed WCW is like investigating a plane crash. A disaster of that magnitude is usually the result of bunch of things going wrong in succession rather than a single culprit.
  24. The closest example I can think of is Jeff Jarrett after losing the title to Sting in TNA. I don't know how big he was as a babyface, though. In other news, Braun Strowman continues to be very bad at social media.
  25. 680k and .22 for Dynamite. Obviously an improvement over the disaster of last week, but still the second-lowest number of the year in the demo and third-lowest in total audience. At this rate, Ospreay will be main eventing Wembley against Shane McMahon.
