  1. I assumed he meant their brains are so small they'd fly out of their nose if they were blow them. And if the brains were dynamite they'd destroy parts of Calgary, so blowing your nose wouldn't be legal. I guess I'm not totally sure whether he means 'able' as in 'physically able', or 'able' as in 'allowed to', though I'm assuming the latter.
  2. I don't have much a problem with different opinion, hell, I disagree with pretty much every single one of the people I talk to online frequently to the point where we call each other shitheads for the hell of it ("I thought you'd like it more than that. Cunt."). But it's the ones that can't see MY ('OUR' 'THE OTHER' etc) point of view that are annoying. If I say John Cena's a better wrestler than Chris Jericho and the replies I get are "this is sad" "hope you are trolling" "facepalm" and some falling-out-of-your-chair-.GIF, then why on EARTH would I want to talk to those people? I actually TRIED. I legitimately asked if anyone wanted to have an actual talk and I still got the same bullshit. I later said the Michaels/Angle match at WrestleMania 21 was my least favourite Shawn Michaels WrestleMania match and was met with the same shit. I tried to talk to those people, I really did, but they have to post that dumbass BS just for the simple fact they had no idea how to argue their point when I asked to talk more than "hurr u iz delusional". It's like the people that get seriously mad and/or laugh at the WrestlingKO results when they're posted on other boards, it's like, why even bother communicating with these people? Also, there is a thing where posters just don't want wrestlers to go unrecognised. If there's a poll that's Lance Storm v Jerry Lawler and Storm is winning, the only possible conclusion is that the voters really haven't THE Jerry Lawler (right........?), which is a shame since Jerry in his peak should be as well known as any wrestler there is. People like having their favourites appreciated.
  3. There's a good chunk of Raven promos on the 96 yearbook and pretty much all of them looked forced. I'm not 100% sure how you'd describe his character, but for an intelligent quasi-psychotic who was notable for promos at the time, Brian Pillman showed up in ECW and did that 15 million times better (and beat up a pencil which slides it in a hugely unfair tilt). Raven was the least interesting part of all of those pulp fiction montages and his rambling about Whatever the Shit it Was just sounded nonsensical instead of sounding like it came from an eccentric mastermind. I liked that part of a pulp fiction montage where he laughed and cackled like a serial killer, s'about it. Isn't there an ULTIMATE GREAT Raven v Kaz Hayashi?
  4. Second the 6YA match w/ McGuinness.
  5. v Benoit @ Slamboree 97,
  6. Yeah, it definitely did. Well, maybe post-match, but by the end of his appearance on the show he had the IC Title and no hair-tie.
  7. I kinda hope Henry wins the WHC at Mania, and then Ziggler cashes the briefcase in and Henry mutilates him in 20 seconds. Oh who am I kidding? I *REALLY* want that to happen.
  8. That match there has like the greatest steel steps bump ever by Henry. I loved loved loved that match and they were actually building a match on a later week that was shaping to look just as good before Khali debuted and ruined it.
  9. Loss without the avatar is depressing. I'd read a really great Loss post and look at Flair in picture with his head up, almost like Flair was saying "I just made a great fucking point". Loss is pretty great at taking words that are in my head that I can't put on paper but actually putting them on paper. Now I won't get to look at Flair with his chin up and be all "yep, I did it again." Not that I took anything Loss said as offensive to anyone, but I think it was more clear Will was light-hearted calling the Kane fans 'weird' than it was Loss saying Bret > Flair is 'stupid'. Kinda comes down to the whole 'there's no sarcasm text' thing or 'I forgot a smiley'. On topic of the thread, I think reading through this would be a good indication of how someone could think 1000 workers are better than Helmsley. Dylan thinks Michaels is obviously better than HHH, so you could take all of the wrestlers he listed in the Michaels top 100 thread, add them with these, add the ones he mentioned in passing, he could fill in gaps.....it's believable.
  10. I actually like HHH, but I could named probably 300 at this point I think are better. Fast forward until twothousandandnever when I've seen as much wrestling as Dylan Waco......I think I could see 1,000 guys/gals being better. Would make for an interesting topic (AKA gigantic list with no other words).
  11. I'm really surprised anybody could criticize lucha for being old legends and weak ass strikes while praising 2000s Michaels. I don't even think Michaels strikes are as bad as the reputation they have (some places, apparently) , but good GOD can they be bad. I can't help but think his chop would look better if he stopped it at the chest and didn't throw his arm all the way. Not to mention it looks like he's high fiving his opponent's nipple.
  12. That would really, really surprise me.
  13. I thought the 2/3 falls match Blackwell had with Butch Reed in '82 was better than all but a handful of Taker matches ever and I'm a pretty massive Taker fan.
  14. So how many super-heavyweights are better than Henry? Does it come down to Vader and Blackwell? Andre? I could see someone saying the Big Show but I'm not sure I'd agree.
  15. You and I were watching two different shows. I didn't think the Rock was better than Punk or anything, but Punk seemed so....blase about it. I get that's his thing and he thinks he's the best in the world and stuff, but he was scared to death of Ryback at HIAC and carried whatever was good in that match with his facials and stuff. This was the big Rock WWE title shot and Punk really didn't make it feel like that. Not that it's all up to him to do that, but he's a part of it. The Rumble had some neat stuff past halfway like the Kane/Danielson thing, but once you have Mistico and the Miz and Ryback coming out I just couldn't care any more. The final few was done pretty well, but I had no investment in it. Or you were right and I was watching Spongebob Squarepants.
  16. I didn't think Rock looked too bad, I actually thought Punk looked pretty worthless. At least for most of it. Looked like he didn't give a shit for so much of the time. I didn't like Cena/Rock a good deal but preferred it to this; I really didn't think this was any good at all. The Rumble itself was mostly fun until we got past the #20 slot or so. Got pretty standard after that and I was bored to death by the end of it. Favourite thing of the show was probably Goldust. I can only hope they plunk him on Superstars.
  17. That dude's channel has a pretty nutty amount of WWC.
  18. The 12/16/96 Psicosis match may be the best Nitro match ever. I liked that Sting/DDP from 99 an awful lot, but other than that, I can't think of anything better. The crowd are shockingly hot for it too. I should randomly watch a bunch of Regal on TV for this thread. Searching for the Psic match found me a six minute Juvi match that I cannot pass up.

  20. Also had the awesome black and orange gear.
  21. Yeah, first thought when looking at the idea of Backlund v Blackwell was "for fuck's sake". I should just try my best to get any kind job in WWE, ask to see that match, and quit.
  22. I like the Steiners. Their matches with the highest praise (v Bret/Owen, v Hase/Sasaki, v Luger/Sting) actually don't do a whole lot for me, but I fucking love a lot of their other matches. I think the Gordy/Williams, Nasty Boys, and Quebecers tags are much better than their matches with the highest praise.

  24. I'm listening to each of these shows over the next [(how ever long it will be)], and this one was really spectacular. Made me want to see all the FBI footage out there and I'm totally pissed off that there isn't any footage of "Madam Xandu". Tranny la Parka? Fuck off. There HAS to be a tape of it. The idea of a paper boys gimmick with them throwing their defeated opponent into the crowd wrapped up made me laugh my head off. Also.....http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZQJpEXhM7qk
  25. Yeah, July is a good lead-in which is why I suggested it, but I've always though the August match was a MOTYC. That needs to go on 1000%.
