[1990-08-03-CWA] Dave Finlay & Marty Jones vs Mile Zrno & Franz Schumann
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in August 1990
Don’t know who is who on the opposing team of Finlay. Anyways these guys are pretty good. No rounds which makes this immediately better. Good action all around. Crowd is actually pretty excited about the count out finish for the third fall. -
[1990-08-03-USWA Texas] Steve Austin vs Chris Adams ('Come As You Are')
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in August 1990
Austin is wearing football shoulder pads and helmet. Adams is in Judo gear with a kendo stick. He whacks Austin a few times in the head which don’t work with the helmet on. Austin does a Duggan football tackle. Austin hits the ringpost and full speed and his helmet flies off. Adams uses it as a weapon. Pringle gets hit with the kendo stick. He came back too quickly for a manager though and was physically holding Adams up for Austin to take some shots.- 13 replies

[1990-08-03-NWA-Power Hour] Louisville Slugger: Ric Flair & Sid Vicious
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in August 1990
There were no witnesses to see Luger being attacked. Horsemen are not admitting to anything but hey, the same thing could happen to Sting. They remind Luger that is professional wrestling and to toughen up. -
More animals. Grooming the horse and doing some riding of it. Nice touch with the mask and hat on.

[1990-07-29-WWF-Wrestling Challenge] Interview: Rick Rude & Bobby Heenan
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1990
Heenan wants Gene to refer to Rude as the next WWF Champion. Rude’s promo seems to be similar to a previous one he did. -
[1990-07-28-WWF-Saturday Night's Main Event] Wild Kingdom!
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1990
Gene and Alfred run into Koko and Frankie. And Jake and Damien. Hopefully the Bushwhackers get hit by a train. Gene is showing off his acting chops. Snuka is referred to as a “jungle creature”. Slick is a friendly native. Gene seemed to enjoy doig this stuff. Von Erich versus Buddy Rose later on SNME?? -
[1990-07-28-WWF-Saturday Night's Main Event] Mr Perfect vs Tito Santana
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1990
Perfect flipping around after getting hit by a knife edge chop. Heenan wants Perfect to pace himself. Perfect undersells something for once and falls right on Hebner’s ankle. Santana with the figure four but Hebner more worried about himself. Suck it up! Santana lets go of the hold to check to Earl. Hebner sucks. Perfect survives the flying forearm. New referee. Thanks! Laughing at Perfect’s sell of the atomic drop. Better than their previous match this year. The Hebner stuff was annoying. Again, this dude drags so many matches down on repeated viewing. Match was got real good once Hebner got out of there.- 16 replies

[1990-07-28-WWF-Saturday Night's Main Event] Demolition vs The Rockers
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1990
Ax sitting this one out as Crush tags instead. Crush levels Michaels with a clothesline. Ugly looking sunset flip by Marty on Crush. Ax gets involved with his own clothesline. Jesse repeatedly reminds Vince that Demolition only have two wrestling in match. Crush with the power moves. Always liked his tilt a whirl backbreaker. Jannetty does the Bret chest bump into the turnbuckle. Rockers real close to getting the pinfall but Ax gets involved. Hart Foundation and LOD both come down to complain about the finish. Rockers deserved a tag title run. -
[1990-07-28-WWF-Saturday Night's Main Event] Interview: Hulk Hogan
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1990
Hogan again thanks the Hulkamaniacs for their prayers and thoughts. Hogan is going to respond to all those letters he got. Yeah, right. Here’s Earthquake and Bravo but Tugboat backs up Hogan and chases off the heels. -
[1990-07-28-WWF-Saturday Night's Main Event] Rick Rude vs Ultimate Warrior
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1990
Warrior expends a lot of energy in his intro and Rude attacks him from behind. Rude doesn’t do his over dramatic selling of the atomic drop yet. Warrior to the top rope and connects! Rude avoids the splash. Rick smashes Warrior with the belt. Might as well soften him up since you got a match at Summerslam anyways. Now Rude sells the inverted atomic drop big time. Rude Awakening but Warrior kicks out. Not sure they should have had Warrior kicking out of that leading up to Summerslam. Warrior his his clotheline/splash combo but Heenan breaks the count out. Warrior beats up Heenan and wins by count out. This really did not build up Rude for the Summerslam match. -
[1990-07-28-WWF-Saturday Night's Main Event] Rick Rude and Ultimate Warrior
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1990
Both Rude and Warrior work in animal/survival of the fittest stuff into their promos. Real silly stuff. -
[1990-07-28-WWF-Saturday Night's Main Event] Show opening
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1990
The natives are restless. Jesse still around and dressed up. McMahon just in his tuxedo. Warrior to face Rick Rude. Still weird to me that they are matching them up in a singles match this close to PPV. Kerry was in the opening so he has arrived. -
Del Ray always looked sleazy. The ring looks tiny. DDP on commentary. Tommy with the running powerslam. Wrestling like he’s 6’4” and 280 pounds. Backlund got some crazy height on his tope rope leg drop attempt! Rogers with the German suplex. Fun little match.

[1990-07-28-NWA-World Championship Wrestling] Interview: Arn Anderson
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1990
Dustin? Arn tells us that Sid is next in line to go after Sting to get the World Title back for the Horsemen. -
Dundee and Lawler bring their bats and win the first fall easily. Good start. Big flying knee by Dundee. Burton is wearing some tape on his face from the fireball. Gilbert choking Lawler with a power cord. Gilbert wins second fall with a fist drop. Lawler goes to take down the strap but he’s already taken down both. Doesn’t stop him from getting fired up. Dundee and Anthony both down. First man to his feet wins. Lawler grabs the ropes preventing Anthony from getting up while Dundee gets to his feet. Too bad we didn’t get full match as looked fantastic from what is shown. Tessa takes a while to strip DWG. Heels make a comeback and stop things. Dundee talks about another rematch. Looks like the girls will be handcuffed to Tom Burton. Also, all four men will be in the ring. Lawler details it more for us. Gilbert and the Dirty White Boys are hanging behind the curtain. They are not buying Dundee being in Texas. Lawler leaves to allow interview for Gilbert and company. Gilbert takes offense to a ringside photographer who was taking pictures of Lawler. The photog gets some coffee in the face courtesy of Tony Anthony. Gilbert wants Lawler to pass the torch to him like Fargo did to Lawler. Tony Anthony has a picture of his woman in bra and panties to show off.

[1990-07-28-WWF-Superstars] Sgt. Slaughter vignette
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1990
Slaughter launches some snot rockets and complains about the smells of Nikolai Volkoff. Nikolai seems so low on the totem pole for Slaughter to be calling out like this. -
[1990-07-28-WWF-Superstars] Ice Cream Bars! / Brother Love: Legion of Doom
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1990
Snuka tries eating the package first of the ice cream bar. Brother Love was kept busy. Legion of Doom are in the WWF. They immediately call out Demolition. The call Demolition impostors. Brother Love looked like he was about to crap his pants at the end. -
[1990-07-28-WWF-Superstars] Brother Love: Rick Rude & Bobby Heenan
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1990
Rude doesn’t want us looking to Summerslam too soon. That’s because he will beat Warrior before then for the Title. Weird to be trying to plug two matches at the same time especially at this time. -
[1990-07-27-AJPW-Summer Action Series] Mitsuharu Misawa vs Stan Hansen
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1990
Last few minutes which did seem exciting from what is shown. Still a couple years a way from Misawa winning the big one.- 22 replies

[1990-07-27] Arsenio Hall: Rick Rude & Bobby Heenan
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1990
Rude and Heenan on Arsenio! Hall makes a comment about Heenan and Rude being a couple. He also bad mouths Heenan about never managing a World Champion. Everyone is in character. Tacky stuff. Heenan easily is able to exchange comments with Hall though. Bobby is a natural. Rude concludes things but showing off his airbrushed tights with Arsenio’s face on them.- 8 replies

[1990-07-27-NWA-Power Hour] Interview: Sid Vicious & Ole Anderson
Kevin Ridge replied to Loss's topic in July 1990
Ole admits that Sid did try to break Tim Horner’s leg. Horsemen mean business. -
Yes! Been waiting for this one. She’s practically hiding off screen at first. Atlas calls out both Warrior and Sting. Tony was hilarious in this segment.
