  1. Yeah, was wanting to see this final match. Thought maybe Pringle and Borne were going to do a sneak attack here but became obvious it was a no show after a few moments. Kerry wasn't too smart placing Pringle up against the ring post and then missing the discus punch.
  2. Yeah, I thought we were going to see a Tessa turn here by her facial expressions. Tatum will win the title and her back. Alright match but the big moment was definitely the after match. Superkick looked nasty with Tessa's head snapping forward. Tough to take a kick like that when you can't see it coming. Uncomfortable to watch. I don't like Dundee's initial reaction to this. He should be way more emotional. Thankfully Dundee is more fired up in his promo after.
  3. I thought Jarrett and Travis were both fine but I do miss Billy Joe as a heel. My problem with this was on the heel side. Agreed with Shoe on Torres. Guy just did nothing. Wish we had a stronger heel team. We do get some back story that it was Chico Torres' grandmother who made the hot sauce that was put in Jarrett's eyes. There is a lot of going after opponent's eyes which shows some good venom. Jarrett struggles to put the figure four on Torres after the match.
  4. Coach nodding in the background over Dibiase's shoulder was funny with Million Dollar man running down everything in Cobb County.
  5. No Sid or Flair. Ole, Barry and Ole voice their confidence in Flair keeping the title. Enjoyed Arn's. And then Flair just pop's into screen. Nicely done. Flair says there is a lot of resentment towards the Horsemen at the moment with all these rules coming down from the NWA.
  6. I was demanding an encore. Valentine can work wonders with an acoustic guitar.
  7. Kid is interesting to watch during this feud. He bringing some hate to this. Bloodying up Lynn and showing it off to the camera. Some unprotected chair shots to the head. Kid bump was scary at first because with the picture quality I wasn't exactly sure what happened with him just flying off the top rope to the outside. They kind of get lost in the crowd at one point but match was good. Preferred previous one with them though.
  8. Wanz is the size of Vader and he must have a custom made belt to be able to wear it around his waist like that. Trumpet playing before the match starts. Found this to be more interesting than last match. Two big guys just hitting each other. Vader was really laying them in. Out of the corner! Announcer outside kept yelling this at Vader when he would do his corner punches. Wanz drops a elbow on Vader’s knee which was already hurting him. Vader’s corner throws in the towel. Wanz sure hung in there during the earlier beating he was taking.
  9. Oh that crazy multiple kip up which is used to reverse arm hold. Steven Wright has some funky reversals which I like. Ah, they are doing rounds. The outsider ring announcer does a lot of talking. Similar to the previous matches from yearbooks where it’s interesting at first but the round system hinders things for me with them breaking up the action. There also seems to be excessive throwing the other guy out of the ring. I guess they are trying to get the countout win but I'm not sure.
  10. That accent! I’ll see ya later.
  11. There will be one last match between Kerry and Matt Borne to decide it all. I know Kerry shows up in WWF soon.
  12. Chris rants about his ex-wife regarding the damage she has done to him and Toni. He questions why but then says it doesn’t matter. Okay. Chris apologizes for shouting. Toni thinks Jeannie wants Chris back. Don’t dare call Toni an unfit mudder.
  13. Austin talks about last night match with Adams. Chris managed to get himself handcuff to the ropes. Mix tag match has been signed between Austin/Jeannie and Chris and Toni Adams. When Jeanie does her promos she always takes the mic herself. Nice touch. She asks if Chris’ husband has been working late? Huh. Messed up her words there a bit. Jeannie use to date Stallone.
  14. Sting hanging in the back initially. Sting promises nobody in PPV land will get ripped off this time. There will be a clear cut winner this time around. JYD will be a guard dog.
  15. I like Ole on the mic but he seems to be getting as much talking time as the champ Flair. Flair reminds Sting that he still has to beat the world heavyweight champion.
  16. Herd to go over the stipulation of the Heavyweight title match. Herd cuts off Ole from talking. The Dudes With Attitudes will be ringside to even out the Horsemen. There is a special stipulation for Ole. First he has been taking off doing any future commentary. Ole will be handcuffed to El Gigante! Ole is not pleased.
  17. Random to see Steamboat after his big year in 89 to not be in a big federation. Borne wins the chop battle. Just remembering that these two faced each other at WrestleMania. Steamboat hits a high knee but hurts himself in the process. Steamboat gets the roll up for the win. Good little match. Steamboat still hurting from his previous match. Fuller goes to work on the knee right away. They only gave Steamboat two minutes between matches. Fuller smartly continues to go after the knee. Spinning toe hold into pin type finish for Fuller. Wanted more. Really short amount of time be giving your final match to determine your new champion. I know these guys wrestled earlier on card but only two minutes? Thesz presents title to Fuller but Lou has some choice words for Robert. Steamboat considers his injury to be just part of the wrestling business. Ricky won’t let the fans down and will bring the gold home. Tennessee dud! Steamboat promises he won’t have a gimp knee next time. Fuller refers to the NAWA Title as the most influential belt in wrestling. Very good heel promo by Fuller.
  18. Fight is Dirty White Boy’s middle name. I enjoy listening to Dirty White Girl talk. Nice to see DWB getting mic time as he seemed more in the background in USWA-TX.
  19. So we are in round 5. Lawler dropping the fist off the turnbuckle. A boxer off his feet can’t be good. Spinks is wearing his boxing gloves. Snowman’s puts Spinks foot on the ropes to break a count. Lawler is beating him up until Snowman gets involved. Spinks pulled punches didn’t look too good. Total heel beatdown. Dave Brown is back. Lawler talks about Spinks making a boxing comeback. Lawler challenges Snowman to a match with no referee.
  20. The perfect Intercontinental Champion and the perfect Manager together. Heenan really likes Mr. Perfect they way he describes him. He’s much better than Beefcake. Yeah.
  21. Hogan is feeling better but his emotional recovery will take a long time according to Gene. Tugboat reads one of the get well soon Hogan letters. I’m shedding a tear. Keep those letters coming. They interview some fans on whether Hogan should come back. Some nice hairstyles.
  22. Kawada misses a dive to the outside but is able to catch himself on the way down. We have a spin kick battle going on. Gets a bit testy with Kawada throwing forearms while on top of Kobashi. To their feet and Kawada gets in his kicks too. We get the Scorpion Death Lock, Texas Cloverleaf and Figure Four in the match. Doing the rolling cradle and then not actually rolling the guy into a pinning situation looked bad. Kawada rattles Kobashi’s jaw with a rising kick. Kobashi with the moonsault but it’s blocked with the knees. Good action towards the end with Kawada getting the right position. Not great but like with other match ups in AJPW there will be better matches ahead.
  23. Disappointed again by an Owen match on this set. Too much headlocks by both. Owen gets in some nice suplexes. He pretty much misses his moonsault which is all on him since he put Muto in position. Muto's moonsault wasn't pretty either but it connected.
  24. Yeah, great match. Working my way through the NJPW 80's set I've come to really enjoy these big tag matches. Thought the two out of three falls worked perfectly. Going in I felt that maybe the teams were a bit one sided but was impressed with Animal's team. There was some crazy bumping by Goto just throwing his body against the railing on three consecutive moves. Great crowd. One of NJPW best efforts so far in 1990.
  25. I think Ole kind of stepped over Flair's promo with the whole two feet comment which kind of messed up Flair's comment after.
