  1. This was excellent. I might prefer the J Cup to this but I'm not positive and it's close. Sasuke immediately jumps Liger after the introductions and does a tremendous dive not a minute into the match. I loved the armwork and battling for the cross armbreaker. Great stuff. There were some more awesome dives from Sasuke later too. The finishing stretch was really terrific as well. Yeah, I liked this a lot.
  2. Was Corey Maclin asked to not sound as "black" as possible or is he really just trying to sound like Lance Russel? This match was fine. It's ends with B.S. though.
  3. Kid has no personality here. Lawler toys with him. Kid respects Bret Hart and wants to win the WWF title. This was just there.
  4. Dammit, I was hoping to see more of Chris Hamrick. Anyways, Tammy and company come out and incapacitate Bambi and Robert. Then, Tammy cuts some of Ricky's hair with scissors. This was pretty good.

Public Enemy vs. Terry Funk/Dory Funk Jr. (ECW 6/24/94) This had mostly great with a mix of okay and bad. Overall, a great month with probably the best match of the year.
  6. Paul E. threatens Cactus then the famous WCW tag title promo where Cactus spits on it happens. This was good.
  7. Owen repeats what he said at the King of the Ring on Raw.
  8. Bill Shaw finds the whole thing hysterical. Ted Turner slightly ducking when Hulk leaned over his shoulder while shouting at Flair was hilarious. The setting is just outrageous to begin with. I like this in parts but at other times it just seemed too much.
  9. Terry cuts a pretty good Tennessee bashing promo again.
  10. Another awesome Jake promo.
  11. This is just a fucking fight. I mean they fight in the center of the ring, on the mat, in the corner, and on the outside around the ring. The finish was great as Sir William gets involved and Larry Z savagely beats him and Regal with the umbrella. Tremendous, aggressive fight and one of my favorite feuds ever.
  12. This was atrocious. Dory has no idea what he's doing at all. Rocco Rock hanging by his feet was cool I guess.
  13. This match was a typical ECW brawl. I wish they would have just immediately started a crazy, bloody, gruesome, and extremely violent brawl. Instead, Mick stood around and watched Sabu run circles around him and then allowed him to dropkick and beat him up for 5 minutes. This had it's moments but it wasn't what it should have been. At best it was a solid brawl. The finish was terrible and the post-match was needlessly long.
  14. This is a famous match on many levels and I know why it's on this Yearbook. It was an okay match with Flair stalling and quarreling with fans at ringside. Sherri took a really scary bump off Sting's crossbody as she smashed the back of her head on the bottom of the guardrail. She looked legitimately woozy for the rest of the segment. Hogan gets a little bit better pop to save Sting after the Sherri swerve and subsequent beat down. He cuts a promo to close the show asking for a contract signing to face Flair in the near future. This is really all very infuriating because I know what this all leads to for two long years.
  15. Dylan was at this show. He could probably give a better explanation of the crowd that night. But yeah, Hulk wasn't getting the love...at all. Flair was though. This was pretty embarrassing for WCW I would think and a lesson to be learned: Don't debut Hogan in Flair country.
  16. Arn excepts the offer to be Dustin's tag partner at The Bash at the Beach and cuts a great promo.
  17. I don't mind Lanny. I think he did his job well. The things I recall more about what I've seen from Lanny are his "Leaping" days before The Genius as a jobber. There's a SNME Battle Royal where Andre head butts him and he just bleeds buckets from it. I'm not sure if it was hard-way though. Someone correct me if I'm wrong but I also believe he wrestled Terry Funk in Funk's WWF debut back in 85. I remember the one time I saw that thinking it was a great squash.
  18. This is another great match between these two but this time it's more of a brawl. The crowd was hot and my favorite spot was Regal breaking out of the bodyscissors with an extremely vicious headbutt to Larry Z's crown. Excellent match.
  19. The best PE promo yet and It was just okay. I hate Public Enemy though.
  20. Paul E. cuts a great promo hyping Cactus-Sabu. Cactus closes it out with a short and sweet promo of his own. Great stuff.
  21. This was absurd. I mean Jerry "The King" Lawler is beginning a feud with Duke "The Dumpster" Droese. Think about that.
  22. Flair cuts another good promo but this Hogan stuff is even driving me crazy. I don't blame the old bastard.
