The DA tags are fun but I don't see how anything in the 90s makes or breaks Windham's case. Just not enough relevance there unless you're eager to punish someone for their post-prime work.

Haven't thought about him but will. Gut is no but until I start writing down and then removing names I can't be sure. By the way the thought of actually constructing a list is beyond daunting. Have had so much fun watching and thinking about the list but I have no clue when and how I'll start putting pen to paper.

All-time incredible moment. Will not be forgetting any part of that anytime soon.

Damn close to tears during the opening video. I am such a bitch. Hopefully we get the shenanigans out of the way and end up with an all-time memorable Raw.

Daniel Bryan announces his retirement on twitter.

Here's hoping he has long and healthy post-wrestling life. One of the best ever. -
Not sure I could point to many Dusty classics, but do think the Flair match at Starrcade and perhaps a couple others are in that range. But I also enjoy just about every Dusty match I come across. His charisma kicks just about everything he touches north of watchable and is an underrated part of a slew of multi-man matches and brawls in Crockett and Midsouth. Absolute lock on my list. One of the few wrestlers, fair or unfair, where its near impossible to separate the in-ring from the out of ring because of sheer force of personality.

Bring back the play by play and description!

Went to a number of ROH shows with friends that often involved getting shitfaced because there was no way they were going to watch wrestling without alcohol. So while I barely remember Joe & Danielson vs. KentaFuji, I do remember how much fun we had chanting for Joe all night. But those nights were few and far between. I'll always have a drink (meaning a single drink) before going out to dinner on Saturday and will usually watch some wrestling then, but that's not exactly getting hammered. Otherwise generally stone cold sober unless someone comes over to watch a PPV and we crack a beer. Basically its like going to or watching a game. If I really want to enjoy it then that's not a night to consume copiously.

I have no earthly idea what possessed me to click on this thread again this morning. But I did. And your review of this film validated and rewarded my decision to do so. While I have zero interest in checking this out, that was some funny shit.

Bull, Hokuto, Kong, Toyota, perhaps Nagayo. Those are the only joshi performers who will rank ahead of her on my list. But Oz will absolutely rank. A personal favorite heel performer. Brought so much subtlety to the table. Only question is how high I can justify her.

While I can't justify placing him as of 2/6/2016, I fully expect him to merit greater consideration 2 or 4 years from now.

Every single one of his matches feels like I'm watching a 15 year old kid fight an adult. Its not fair, its not right but it is exactly what I think when watching them. There's little basis to justify him reading a list of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, much less placing on one, given that. I'm someone who couldn't care less about whether a strike looks like a shoot, but his offense is more reminiscent of our middle school Gilbert & Sullivan renditions than rasslin.

That would make me very happy.

Boom! Consider it done.

Looking to kill some time before dinner tonight and after watching some classic wrestling all afternoon I want something a little lighter or fun. How about a suggestion of a '97 or later WCW PPV for me to tee up on the network?
-
Card subject to change, but Danielson is currently my #4. Really wanted to get him at #1 but I can't justify it right now.

Always wondered about the stomp. When it hits, it looks like an open invitation for ankle injuries. How do you protect yourself on that?

WWE DVD Best of Clash of the Champions - matches selected
WingedEagle replied to BigBadMick's topic in Pro Wrestling
I have no idea who the target audience is for a set like this as you'd imagine most folks interested in this material already have the Network and thus have no use for this or any other DVD set. Perhaps the hope is some casual fans (who are nonetheless looking at the match list on a comp DVD?) will see a gimmick match mixed in with some big names and be intrigued? No real rhyme or reason because the Network should dry up the real dvd market. -
Thanks, much appreciated.

Anyone know where to find the Collections section on PS4? Easily accessible on PC but I don't see it on the console.

I know injuries decimated the roster and there's been a lot of talk about the lineup heading in this direction, but actually seeing it spelled out like that is a pretty big bummer. Put it in an arena rather than a stadium and nothing about that says Mania.

1) Read the entire thing unless the play by play (or some other part) becomes absurdly and unnecessarily long, at which point we start skimming. Doesn't happen with yours or others who's review I enjoy. 2) Yes. Sometimes a reminder of things I may have forgotten about a match, but always provides context for your concluding thoughts. 3) Brief context, what happened and any context for that, what you thought of the match, what did/didn't work and why. That's all! I like star ratings or some kind of statement that allows for a comparative evaluation. I appreciate putting it in perspective with other matches a reviewer has seen. 4) In no particular order yours, soup23, Sleeze, Loss, PeteF3, probably a few other standouts I'm forgetting off the top of my head. 5) Ideally, exactly what I said in #3 above. My problem is I'll often go watch more instead of stopping to review something. Hope that helps. Keep up the great work!

I'd pay ippv money for Briscoes vs. airport security.
