I'm kinda shocked gordi liked it so much after not doing feeling the WK encounter. I thought this match was perfect for people that loved their previous matches but didn't do much for me - enjoyed them but never was close to buying the "best ever" talk -, though I did think it got better as it went along. The last fall was by far the best one, and even though they stretched it too damn much for my liking, I thought it was dope how the crowd became more and more desperate with Kenny's exhaustion, as they started to feel he might not pull this off. Also liked how they didn't fill it with a bunch of nearfalls (they over used those for the first two falls) and just let the fact that they were too tired to land shit properly build the drama. The match really felt like an anime fight, Kenny "losing consciousness" (or whatever you wanna call it) with his eyes going white after a Rainmaker included. I kinda felt most of the last fall was the "they are moving just by instinct" classic troupe you see in big epic anime fights. The G-1 match is still the best they've done, easily imo, but I can see this Dominion one getting as much praise, if not more, than their previous matches. It's just not meant for a fan like me to enjoy it as much, and that's fine. And the right guy won too.

At this point I think booing would be a "success" in the sense that the more they force Roman and the more they insist in the Brock matchup, the less the people care and react to him.

This sounds dope, I really hope people get on board with it.

Kinda surprised there's no thread about Punk's trial, there's some interesting tidbits from it. Then again, I'm too lazy to do it myself.
-
The money, the years and there's some tidbits in the article like Murdoch saying that they'll promote SD every day, that NBCU was embarrassed of wrestling and that FS1 will have a studio show dedicated to WWE.

https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/wrestling-rights-shakeup-fox-nabs-wwe-espn-signs-ufc-nbc-gets-raw-1115156 How long before Wrestlemania gets a monster deal and is off the Network?

I'd like them to actually build towards Almas vs Hardy and make it an important feud, instead of just making them wrestle out of nowhere. And Joe better win on Tuesday. He keeps cutting bad ass promos and has no relevant Ws to show for them.

It looks like he's actually injured Mike Johnson of PWInsiderElite.com commented on Big Cass' status with WWE. Here is what Johnson said courtesy of RingsideNews.com: "Nothing is working for Big Cass right now. He’s back on crutches. From what I understand he’s going to go check out to see if he needs ACL surgery again. If that’s the case, that is bad, bad news for him."

WWE will most likely get more money once you add the new RAW deal.

Wow, what did the big goof do now?

This is pretty important and I think deserving of quite a bit of credit. I haven't been a fan of much of the main roster creative over the last 18 months, but he built a model that grew to and could sustain business at this level while never letting creative fall to a point that it imperiled the business as a going concern. Agreed. He basically kept creating new sources of income so that when one fell off, it didn't hurt them massively. And then it reached a point were it's almost impossible for business to suffer much no matter how bad the booking/writing gets.

Yeah, I changed my mind. After reading the deal is for 5 years/1 billion, it's has to continue to be live, no way they give that much money for a taped show. Vince can't write/book a compelling wrestling show to safe his life nowadays, but he continues to show he's the GOAT promoter. Dude got that Saudi money and now this.
-
If it continues to be live it would make them change their house show schedule, I think they will go back to taping it. I wonder if FOX will cancel it out of nowhere like they do with all their shows.
-
If they do have a series I hope they don't do it for 3 or 4 straight PPVs. When Miz wins one he should do whatever he can to never face Bryan again, people would get so pissed at him it would be awesome.
-
The DB/Miz matches were booked and announced during the week of the draft.

Isn't this like the 3rd time Vince tries to recreate the D-Bry "screwed by management" underdog story with Roman? I swear I've read WWE trying to do that with Reigns before.

In his recent interview with Jericho he didn't say he had signed a new deal - and he did sound excited about working other places if WWE never cleared him - but it felt Jericho and Bryan were talking as if he staying in WWE for the long run was a given/formality. Makes sense tbh, I don't think the company believes he might be leaving. BTW, he also revealed his deal expired/expires September 1st and talked about how he wasn't sure if he would've been able to work the All In show even if he left WWE. RE: Dave's point.. I think it goes way beyond Bryan. If you really think about it, WWE has no real angles going on since Mania. Nobody has momentum because they have nothing to work with at the moment. Rollins got over because of his performances and they are now pushing him as the "hottest superstar in the company" but even he doesn't have a legit program waiting for him. I don't think they are being conservative at all. He's back to being a workhorse for them, 2 single TV main events and that 76 minutes performance at the GRR. In the Jericho interview he said that they never really got to sit down and plan out a special schedule for him and "all of a sudden" he's working every date on the European tour.
-
I have no question that Bryan does that on purpose. But I don't like that he keeps doing that dropkick, he's scaled back on everything but that spot. Austin was begging him to stop doing it when he had neck surgery.
-
Yeah, even if he is in the doghouse they will probably still run a Cass/Bryan rematch at MITB. Hell with Extreme Rules being the PPV after that it wouldn't be shocking if they do a "blowoff" with a gimmick match at that show. If he is truly in the doghouse, Cass will probably tap in every match
-
According to PWInsider once source believes she's getting surgery after the European tour, wtf.

Well, last week it seemed they were building to Lana making Rusev turn on Aiden because he kept losing and was too goofy - as shown in the Elias segment at Backlash - but now Rusev got the a huge W (they can even play it as the biggest in his career because it was clean) so they either scrapped those plans or may have something interesting going.
-
It also only took 1 Machka Kick to finish the match, I think nowadays crowds expect way more for a finish on a main event. I'm glad they went this way though, no need for excess, just a clean simple W that Rusev really needed. I was more curious about the camera focusing Bryan so much before fading to black, it seems they are gonna make a storyline out of him losing.
-
Hey, if Bryan is gonna lose clean I'm glad it's against Rusev. Nice main event.

The 90's porn theme gives it a nice touch.

Iconics are horrible as an act so far. I can only guess this is another case of WWE not getting what got them over in NXT?
