Well Scott Hall was tweeting about a NWO reunion or something like that. Maybe him and Nash are Hogan's surprise guests next Monday?
  2. Watched the Paul Heyman doc and it's amazing. At worst Top 3 they've ever done. He claims Smackdown outdrew RAW in ratings, merchandising and house shows during his run on the writing team. Ratings and merch I have no trouble believing, but I had no idea they were beating RAW on house shows too. Does anybody know for how long they were beating them?

I guess they are saving the street fight/big gimmick match for NOC. At this point that seems like a more important show than Summerslam.

So apparently Ambrose's stipulation for his match against Rollins at Summerslam is... A Lumberjack match? ugh Spoilers seem very vague this week. There was also a picture on the production truck that said Smackdown will air at 8PM on SyFy every Thursday (can't post the image for some reason).

Listening to Paul on the MMA Hour. He just said they taped a 24/7 like segment for RAW with interviews from Brock, Paul and Cena plus video highlights. Heyman and Brock wont be there tonight and I'm pretty sure Cena is still shooting his new movie so that's a smart way to keep hyping up the match.

I'd be shocked if they don't somehow involve Bryan in the angle and/or match so I'm sure the crowd will be behind Brie by proxy.

That's terrible. It's not that I want that match at Summerslam or anything, but you know they are gonna find a way to over complicate the angle and end up ruining it by September.

On that press conference Bryan pretty much confirmed he needs another surgery. Hopefully they show the real story before Hunter cuts that promo.

He stopped a crime with a broken freaking neck! Seriously though. Another interesting chapter for his upcoming book, this last few months have been nothing but bad news for the guy. edit: His press conference https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yvWsYKc3FFw

Yeah, Nigel's problem was hitting people with everything he had and multiple times. Dude was hitting like 3-5 devastating lariats per match almost. Ambrose ain't doing anything close to that.

RE: Reigns. I think he needs a real feud before getting the mega push to the title. Have him face adversity in a "blood feud" against somebody important. That way you test him having singles matches, get more comfortable cutting promos and see if he is still over enough to justify taking the n°1 guy spot. Now, that takes good booking and that's something we see WWE fail to do over and over again with promising guys. But if there's someone who can have a legit shot to not being mishandled, is Reigns. Hell, The Shield as a whole is still being booked great even after splitting up. I don't know if it's luck or they really are Hunter's pet project but they've been the exception to WWE's booking failures for the past 2 years.

Listen to the podcast I did with Dylan on some plans for Rusev. Plus, Dylan has a detailed post on how to get Rusev back in action and revitalize Ryback... http://prowrestlingonly.com/index.php?/topic/27873-good-will-wrestling-fixing-the-wwe-part-one/&do=findComment&comment=5614272 Yeah. Listened yesterday and LOVED the Ryback idea, I was hyped while listening. But sadly I don't see them ever doing something like that, even though is simple and so effective. That's why I'm asking for past examples, had forgotten about Umaga tbh. Was the Hardy feud before or after the Cena feud? Sounds good to me. Although not as glorious as Ryback as Lex Luger 2.0, this idea seems more realistic and gets the job done.

Regarding this Rusev push... man, I hate undefeated streaks. It seems the longer you stretch them and put focus on them, the harder is for the wrestler to bounce back after he loses. And it seems people tend to be completely lost on how to book undefeated guys after they get that first L (Ryback comes to mind). I like Rusev, I think he has made improvements since debuting and could be a very nice "monster" on the roster. But I dread the thought of him losing to Cena or whomever and them being completely lost in shuffle, ending up like Koslov or something like that. Has there ever been a case of a dominant wrestler being able to overcome losing a hyped streak? (Kurt Angle wouldn't qualify)

And it wasn't for the title so Brock wasn't as motivated or some BS like that. They could've done a sick video package of the ER match showing Brock manhandling Cena and then Heyman saying that's nothing compared to what 2014 Brock will do to him and the rest of the WWE once he wins the Title. And speaking of video packages. That promo by Paul E was the perfect set up for an amazing video preview for Summerslam.

The mishandling of Cesaro makes no sense. They could've gone in many directions with the guy and ended up in absolutely nothing. How the fuck does that happen?

The crowd came back alive for Dolph. So god dammit, make him job against Mizanin. edit: holy shit Dolph won!
  20. Didn't Miz won Battle Royal this exact same way a couple of years ago?

Yeah, he might do something similar to the feud with Ziggler. Were he won at Summerslam when everyone thought he was jobbing and then lost the next night on RAW. As long as Wyatt ends on top on their last match and wins the feud convincingly I don't mind a non finish tonight or even Jericho going over.

Is his status really that bad? I mean, we really don't know anything and it's only been like 2 months for a neck injury. I think people are jumping the gun when talking about retirement this soon. If it's November-December and it still doesn't look promising, then I get the "hanging up the boots" talk.

That's bullshit. Bryan winning was the absolute best feel-good moment of the year so far and I doubt anything could top it. Exactly. Maybe they don't want to give that away for free, save that for the DVD release. They've never left the most important part of the show out of the NBC special. It makes no sense. My guess is they thought they had put enough emphasis on Bryan after the Network special or something like that. Putting his angle on the tv special would have left out not only Cena but also Austin/Rock/Hogan. Still, nobody watches that special so it's not a big deal imo.

Dave did the same thing with Punk, talked about how much he wasn't drawing, but would then talk about how shows drew disappointing numbers without him and that sort of thing. I never understood it. Yup, you could see it coming from a mile away too. His coverage of Bryan from January to March was almost identical to Punk's first months on top in 11-12.
