Another thing, Ricabonni and Coleman were fucking fantastic during the main event. Best commentary job I've heard in a big match in a long, long ass time. ps: I thought the first fall was OK and I agree it lacked the atmosphere to make it a true classic in my eyes, but the work Briscoes and FTR did in the 2nd and 3rd fall is very hard to find.

The floodgates remain open.

This should be big enough to not warrant a return.

Main event was fucking fantastic. The 2nd fall was one of the best pieces of tag team wrestling I've seen in a I don't know how long. The big spot in the 3rd fall took me by surprise, had completely forgotten they could go to that, specially in that part of the match.

Do we have a defining, classic match/performance by Claudio? Never really thought about it but he kinda is the modern version of "always great, barely got the chance to have a classic of his own". Could it be one of the Generico matches? I loved what he did against Reigns but wouldn't call it career defining classic match. And after that he has shit load of good-to-great matches from 07' onwards (didn't think much of him as a singles wrestler before that) but I'm not sure we have THE Claudio match...yet.

WWE TV 07/18 - 07/24 Is Mike Mizanin the greatest Nature Boy ever

I can picture Nick Khan doing the happy dance in silence when Steph told him she wanted to lead a "Thank you Vince chant" -

Steph is opening up Smackdown @El-P you gotta watch this I expect an even more cringey promo than the 9/11 one. -
I wonder if he'll be back to WWE in an official role or if he's gonna carny his way with MBS and create LIV Wrestling.
-
If anything, the next 3-6 months are gonna be interesting as hell to follow backstage. I hope the product gets better without a crazy person changing plans every 3 days and not letting anything develop. I truly hope Dunn leaves before Mania season.

That felt like something WWE would've done.
-
I don't think there's anything concrete on Bryan but he's attending Starrcast and doing a podcast with Renee so I'm sure he's gonna tell what happened.
-
I feel like Kenny coming back would be a huge deal for the company. I do wonder if that angle they have planned means they are gonna "rush" Cole back or if Tony came up with a buffer so they can take their time until the inevitable Elite vs UE feud.
-
What about Chono? Haven't watch the first G-1 Final or the Rude match in almost a decade but would those qualify as his best match possible?
-
Yikes. I read TK quotes about Danielson and Cole's concussions and how "cautious" he's being with them by not rushing them back (though in Cole case, he was having a number of lingering issues before his last concussion) and then immediately read your post and it's like wtf.

No doubt about it.

2.Coke is a great example of putting a talent in a position to succeed, he's fucking awesome in the role he's in right now.

The lack of reporting on stuff AEW doesn't want out there shows there probably aren't a lot of disgruntled people in positions of power/importance in the company, which s a great thing for the promotion. But at the same time, it exposes how bad wrestling journalism is. As in, they either don't want to report what they know so they don't get on TK's bad side or they have no sources worth a damn that will talk to them about anything that isn't positive.

I feel AEW needs a closer relationship with Stardom than with New Japan because they have a lot of young talent on the women's side that needs to work more and develop on all aspects of wrestling and trips to Japan would greatly benefit them. And of course, 4-6 month runs from awesome wrestlers like Io would help them as well.

AEW TV - 6/29 and 7/1 - Blood & Innards Is A Better Name
Jmare007 replied to Timbo Slice's topic in AEW
We'll see in the coming weeks if this is any sort of sustainable but I wouldn't say Blood & Guts had the best of build ups so that many people tuning in (compared to the previous weeks) as soon as the interpromotional feud was over might be very telling. -

2.Coke should be a part of every hardcore brawl, dude bumps and bleeds like a madman. Agreed on the match dragging for too long and towards the end it got kinda ridiculous with both Jericho and Eddie laying around for minutes while there was no other action (after we got like 40+ minutes of it, all over the place). Loved the ending in the sense that continues to build towards Eddie not being able to get his full revenge. It's quite something that finish would've worked the same if it was Claudio or Danielson getting the W. Did anyone take a clean bump over the exposed canvas? Eddie was right there but I didn't catch him taking a bump. If he did, it would definitely explain why he was hurting so bad. -

Shouldn't Eddie costs his team the W again? He has made no effort to become someone reliable that can't let bygones be bygones for the good of his teams and current feud, lol. I'd love for him to win the match while at the same time getting into a fight with Claudio and getting him eliminated though, that would be badass and hilarious at the same damn time. -

Randy Orton did get more popular in the last 8 months. And then he got injured
