You know what I mean. The cheesy synth latin pop of Oro De Ley is so ill fitting for Hokuto is crosses the realms into pure magic. It's awe.
-
Hokuto made the 100 so I'm pretty fine whichever direction the list takes us. All Hail. Rather a 90s AJ guy isn't number one though. Pretty sure it'll be Flair or Hansen actually.

These are the ones I noted on my favourite match list Americo Rocca, Javier Cruz y Chamaco Valaguez vs. Talisman, El Dandy y Guerrero Negro (3/13/87) Pirata Morgan vs. El Dandy (9/23/88) Emilio Charles vs. El Dandy (7/28/89) MS-1 & Maskare vs. El Dandy & El Satanico, (8/11/89)

Primarily, presence. Vader stands out from everyone around him, you'd put money on him against anyone. Aja is 'stoic', yet she wears goofy face paint and baggy bottoms and is pushed as a monster. It doesn't add up. She's not as 'legit' or intimidating as Chigusa or Hotta and she's not extraordinary or larger than life like fellow monsters Dump and Bull. And Vader/Sting feud blows away . . almost everything really.

Good to see a woman scrape the top half even if it's the wrong one. Finlay needed a leprechaun to get over so I'm not torn up with leaving him off.
-
The Flair matches are good to great, if a bit dry for me. I'd go as far to say the Kerry match is Jumbo's best singles match ever outside Tenryu.
-
Gosh darn, was hoping Breaks might crack the top 40. First of my top 15 to go. Didn't rate Curt. AWA main events just don't do it for me.

Owen at #86, Dundee # 45, Bull #43 and Baba at #32 are now crossed off my list. Dundee is one of the best at injecting his character into his in ring work - it's his tricky, cheeky- chapy babyface stuff that shines brightest for me. He has an off kilter edge about him. Feels like he's ahead of his time in many ways. Amazing pictures too . .

Christ that was a bad choice of words

While I don't see him as the blow away greatest mat worker, Panther is really bloody good. I can be judged as vague/cop out to say this but he really does have an aura about him. He one of those guys that gives me a buzz whenever he pops up. I find him fascinating as a masked technician that happens to be a rudo. Bonus points for having the best mask in wrestling. Two of my top twenty are now gone. No surprise they were both joshi workers. Fallen soldiers: 17 Chigusa Nagayo 19 Jaguar Yokota 23 Sangre Chicana 26 Steve Grey 41 Terry Rudge 44 Carlos Colon 46 Dump Matsumoto 50 Antonio Inoki 52 Bob Backlund 54 Mick McManus 55 Alan Sargeant 57 Devil Masami 58 Johnny Saint 60 Meiko Satomura 61 Jerry Blackwell 62 Dusty Rhodes 63 Fuerza Guerrera 66 Marty Jones 67 Larry Zbyszko 68 Atsushi Onita 69 Butch Reed 70 Abdullah The Butcher 71 Atlantis 74 Mocho Cota 76 Hulk Hogan 77 Clive Myers 78 Ron Garvin 80 Mayumi Ozaki 83 Shinobu Kandori 84 Yoshiaki Yatsu 85 Steve Williams 87 Tracy Smothers 88 Lex Luger 90 Virus 91 Manami Toyota 92 La Parka 93 Stan Lane 94 Super Astro 95 Great Sasuke 96 Yoshinari Ogawa 97 Mark Henry 98 Yumi Ikeshita 99 Dean Allmark Think we'll see Billy Robinson go soon. Hasn't Owen Hart dropped yet?

There's a ton of WOS era British wrestling available for free on youtube. Go watch it. Now.

One thing I will give Jericho is his 2008 run where he pieced together his experience, ring work and ability to carry angles and transformed into a great heel character. It was the first time he didn't feel out of place in the main event and from a personal stand point he was the only modern WWE act I've been swept up and invested in (outside the shield). Outside of that though I've never really rated him. Even in his early WWF run he came across as a lame-mo Rock. And the rock was pretty lame.

Atlantis sure does have the longevity. For me Chicana was at a level of blow away great that few others reach, even if it was a shortish stretch. Him and Hokuto made my top twenty-five for similar reasons.
-
Don't think Atlantis should be above Chicana but kudos to him. I kinda hated his early work but he grew into a good techico worker. Love his flying spots that punctuate falls in trios and he has a good list of singles work. He's not the most charismatic worker but he's perfectly likeable.

Fuck me, it's Hogan. Guy was a star wherever he went. He slots in here far nicer than goof of the week Cesaro.
-
Chigusa finishing below the the likes of Christian hurts and goes against what I've come to value in wrestling with this project.
-
I hoped lucha would do better to be honest. I might cry if a luchador doesn't make the top ten. I wanna see the names Hardy, Generico, Cesaro and Christian before the top 100.
-
Dean fucking Malenko ugh.
-
Hogans making the top 100 people. It's where he belongs.
-
They can do a lot better than putting him against the hot new babyface and having him lose clean. As is usually the case with NXT call ups he's had no time to forge any kind of connection. He's been tied to the hip with Owen's from the get go and hasn't had any real time to shine for himself.
-
Miz is the greatest heel on the planet, it's not even close. He might just get a memorable feud out of Cesaro. Their use of Sami Zayne has been a real disappointment so far. Bray being out for a while and returning as a face might freshen him up a bit.
-
I fear all the joshi girls will drop off around now.
-
The Perro Sr. picture is amazing by the way and he did better than I thought. Can't actually remember if I ranked him or not. Genuinely hope HHH finishes in the top 100.
