Sam(me) and Murray discuss PWG a lot of the time, giving a complete rundown of Ten and giving some thoughts on BOLA. We also talk about some recent matches that will reach that iconic level where it becomes almost a necessary watch for fans of independent wrestling. http://www.blogtalkradio.com/4crwrestling/...08/indy-project Any feedback(constructive of course) would be welcomed!

Does Xcite run anywhere other than the American Legion? I can't imagine 350 in that tiny building. I've been there for packed 2CW shows, and it's nigh impossible to move, especially with the bar being right there at ringside. I still think 2CW is nuts for putting their next iPPV in that arena, with the rowdy drunk crowd and the tiny arena. Xcite hasn't ran anywhere besides Post 80. The last 2CW show there was the most packed I had seen it from the shows I had seen. 20 for each side of front row. Then 2 sides had 5 rows past that of probably about 17-20. I had front row and I could barely get to my seat because it was put as close as it could to the rail. So that puts us to about 280 max. Then you've got people standing which bumps it up probably another 60 from by the front door to the walls to the back door area. And recently they have opened up the stage for seating which I'd say probably adds another 30+. I probably over estimated Xcite so sorry bout that.

The Last Indie Show You Went To?
concrete1992 replied to theconstipatedsmark's topic in Pro Wrestling
Funny thing is that this was my last show too haha. I hit up two nights of 2CW with Piper and his son there. Friday I have another show with Nunzio being there. -
Upstate NY promotion 2CW ranges from a couple hundred in some places to 300-400 to 700+ during their BIG shows. That seems to be the 3 divisions in their markets. Binghamton promotion Xcite probably gets 150+ a show and probably maxed out at 350 I'd say. Think it really depends where you run what the "norm" is.

Start with Marty Jones vs Owen Hart and go from there. Usually the best jumping off point. Thanks I'll be checking that out.

TITO ORTIZ!!! TNA's #August1Warning Mystery Man...SMH (Video)
concrete1992 replied to Duo Dreamer's topic in Pro Wrestling
This was honestly one of the funniest things I've ever seen on live TV. We've got Tito coming out crossing his arms making this awkward facial expression like he wants to sexually harass someone AND take a poo. Then we have both stables looking like a giant monster just came out and they are cornered. We have awkward facial expressions from both groups made this something special. When Rampage threw his arms up I couldn't hold my laughter and burst out loud. -
Would there be a match that hits the WOS/British in general style? Sounds like this could be a good place for people to get introduced to new styles.

Is TNA the worst wrestling promotion in history?
concrete1992 replied to Loss's topic in Megathread archive
I would get a "Death of TNA" book in an INSTANT...for the right price of course. To hear the rational for some of the more bone headed decisions that they've made. -
I'm gonna hope it turns out well. Won't be a Necro of old, war but it could be the closest thing I see in 2013. Of the 3 matches I've seen from Necro this year he has been dynamite in all of them. Fingers crossed that either someone rips it from the DVD to put online or someone brings a camcorder. Only that I can think of that intrigues me from that show.

Why am I SO excited for Necro Butcher vs. Kyle O'Reilly?! Gut says they both no sell each other's offense until Necro works stiff enough to where O'Reilly doesn't have a choice. O'Reilly generally sucks but I could see Necro making it a better match than people are expecting.

Is NJPW the best puro product currently?
concrete1992 replied to jpchicago23's topic in Pro Wrestling
Between G1 and BOSJ I feel that NJPW's motto for tournaments this year is "Stack the A Block". A Block really has so much awesomeness that will happen. ISHII! Block B still looks pretty good. Suzuki, Nakamura and Naito will be able to provide us with some good matches. I can't fathom to guess at the possible MVP of G1 this year. -
I feel too young watching this stuff. Certainly picking up on the in-ring product being better. Can't wait until I get to War Games. Still quite a bit off but I refuse to go into without at least seeing everything from WCW up to that point. Watched the match once on YouTube probably 4-5 years ago when I was in my awkward teen years of wrestling fanhood when I LOVED RoH. This time I want to go in seeing all I've got on hand. Probably why my dad was more attracted to WWF with regards to production and possibly Hulk Hogan. He was much more of a casual fan then I'd say I am.

I don't feel I'll be able to catch up but maybe I'll end up being able to have someone to chat about this with since it seems most others have moved on haha.

Dylan Reviews Full Shows In This Thread
concrete1992 replied to Dylan Waco's topic in Megathread archive
I don't get how Cusson enjoyed that match. To think it was great sorta baffles me. To each his own I suppose. You can tell what wrestling he watches by him thinking they are both top 20 wrestlers in North America. Trent Barretta is a guy I think is gonna do just fine on the indies though Twitter has upset me with their approach to him. People saying he has to "adapt to the indy style" where I think him working his way can only be beneficial for some of the people he is going to work with on the indies. -
Landell owned with this promo. He isn't doing any favors. Awesomenss

[1992-02-15-WWF-Superstars] Hulk Hogan Right Guard commercial
concrete1992 replied to Loss's topic in February 1992
I think I just wet myself. "Anything less would be uncivilized" PRICELESS -
The Yearbook gives me joy as a fan who has yet to experience much of pre-2000 stuff. Watched it as a kid but that was still like the tail end of the 90s. This makes it so most of the stuff I go in with no expectations such as this match. I have never seen Scott Norton or Brad Armstrong actually wrestle. I've played as Norton in Fire Pro Returns and pushed Armstrong in Total Extreme Warfare 2010 but that's as close as I've gotten. Norton looked like a tank and Armstrong sold his beating well working that face in peril. Hase always delights me it seems. Mutoh is Mutoh. Armstrong's offense consisted of mostly of headlocks but he was the star on the defensive. Particularly like when he was in the corner with Mutoh trying to fight his way out. Loved when Armstrong got taken down too close to where Norton was on the apron he ran over with a clothesline. Popped a little for that. Real fun match that I thought made the gaijins look great.

Trying to get back into 1992 and while this is by no means a great match it is fun enough to totally launch me in the mood for it. This match made me feel that if I was around during this period of wrestling I'd more likely have been a WCW fan rather than a WWF fan I grew up as. This match was so much fun with the big men doing them big men moves. I need more Vader. Like a lot more Vader.

Loved RVD as a kid. I remember that he was one of two guys I made a sign for for a WWE house show in Binghamton, NY (the other being Brock Lesnar). The more I've watched of him the less I think of him which is the opposite of Sabu right now for me. There are still some RVD matches I really enjoy but it seems less like him making a strong effort into making it work but more him and the other guy going into car crash mode without the match becoming a mess. Oh and saw RVD vs. Sami Callihan last night. Callihan looked like he gave a damn. RVD looked like he felt good about stuffing 500+ into an American Legion. There is a problem there.
-
2CW ran a internet show in April for free that had Matt Hardy vs. Sami Callihan. Certainly worth a watch if you haven't seen it yet. If you can find Sami Callihan vs. John Morrison from the previous night you probably should watch that. Live I found it to be the better of their two matches.

A comp of Henry would be the bees knees. Going to pull for a WWE release some day when he does retire. I want an hour of Sexual Chocolate as part of his documentary. The simple idea of it being a possibility ("Mark Henry:That's What He Does" would have to sell, right?) gets me giddy.

Masters needs to start popping up in more of these indy feds that let guys tape their stuff and put it on YouTube because they don't care. More Masters the better. He put on a real good match with Lance Hoyt in Traditional Championship Wrestling. He's too good to NOT be seen on a somewhat regular basis.

I go into this match knowing practically nothing so for about 2.6 minutes I was pondering if Vader and Mr.Hughes smashed their belly's together if it would make a Ying-Yang symbol. Probably. The actual match was lots of fun. Steiners aren't a team that I'd consider great but watching them toss around people, especially large fellas, is super fun.

I don't post regularly here(or even close to it) since I am one of those people who watches the current product more. This is a place that I check almost daily though since there are so many knowledgeable people where you can learn a lot just by reading some threads. The Microscope is beyond awesome. Dylan's PR thread is super sweet and has opened a door to a territory I enjoy right now in 2013. I know once the 1992 yearbook I ordered from Will comes in I am going to try and post in that section a decent bit since I don't need as much of a scope with all the content right in front of me. Okay, I really dig this place, everyone involved keep up the stellar work.

Another great addition to PWO. I don't post a lot since I'm not as knowledgeable about a lot of things discussed but I tend to check here daily. Great resource here.
