I'm gonna be that guy who probably doesn't end up voting for him unless things change within a year. Thought I'd be able to separate the wrestler from the human but when I tried watching one of his matches a couple months ago I felt uneasy to the point I couldn't finish it. I'm not coming from some moral high ground since I'd like to be able to watch them. Other people have done bad things yet I've watched them in movies or their music while removing them as a person from my mind. Still can't quite do that with Benoit in my head.

There's a lot of good wrestlers that have performed. Hero is one of them.

This footage does not feel like I'm watching something from the 1950's. So crisp! The world is a good place sometimes.

I would love to find a place for him on my ballet between his WWE run and the later Kings of Wrestling stuff but I'm not gonna fool myself, it'll be a tough sell. Unless his other indie stuff holds up really well then I don't know how he'll make my ballot off a couple really good years with last year being great.

He's a Top 50 guy as of right now. Though I'm hopeful his case will be slightly boosted come the deadline, I'm afraid that his resume may end up being mostly the same. And yet I'm going back and forth in my brain and if he makes his comeback work then I'd feel pretty darn comfortable with Top 25.

Okay, really glad Bill Thompson nominated him. As of now he has a real solid chance of making my Top 100. Where, I don't know. Definitely going to go back through his periods of work from OMEGA to Hardy Boyz to his WWE singles run to his 2012+ indie run.

I'm sure we'll be getting podcasts on workers at least throughout the project in order to keep interest going.

Haven't watched nearly as much stuff as others here, which is why I'm going to use this project to really push for a reason for me to see more, but right now my tentative #1 is Kawada but not at all apposed to putting someone else at that slot after I've filled in so many gaps.

Feel real comfortable with 2 Cold making my ballot. Gets bonus points for being awesome as late as last year. Probably still killin' it but haven't been able to track anything down in full from this year.

My strategy right now is going all YouTube on some of these peeps. Seems like it just works out to have a good cross section of a couple pimped matches, a few tag matches, and a slew of random matches. So safe to say I'd like to take the "total package" approach. While GREAT MATCHES will totally give them a boost for me those get a bit dulled by some meh performances. I'm on the 7-8 matches area myself. Probably more towards the top. Also want hit 3 periods: pre-peak, peak, post-peak. Could have probably said that in a simpler way but alas. And that peak business is if feasible.

FUN FACT: I can't search for most things on PWO. Don't ask me why, but searches just come up with nothing so that is a bit annoying but I supposed I can tackle it. Now, does most discussion occur on in the Nominee Sub-Forum or in the Microscope?

Doubt WON HOF season would be nearly as interesting to see unravel, discussion wise, without the set of subjective and objective criteria.

I feel it is a bit important to remember that this would be a Pro Wrestling Matches HALL OF FAME and this isn't a Greatest Matches of All Time poll. I suppose it depends if this is a fun PWO project or something hoping to gain a bit of traction. Maybe off base though but SOME criteria outside of straight match quality, like the historical significance which was stated, should be present in my opinion.

This feels pretty unique and just a great concept. There's enough Wrestler HOF but this takes a different angle. Only thing would be narrowing down eras and whatever but clearly in conceptualization phase and you guys seem pretty fantastic with these projects. Think this also works as an annual thing.

I feel it becomes a bit of a different project when that happens.

May have missed it but would the pool consist mostly just PWO posters or is this just to see the interest from the hub of the project?

Hoshino? Already frothing at the mouth at the thought of learning about hundreds of wrestlers I've never seen before. GRAND! There are quite a few guys I feel that have actual work that may beef them up and there seems to be guys that have more people in their corner than 2006. Or less people in some cases. Feel like I might need to drop some money for "research" purposes.

I'll be honest, I had to go back and look at that 2006 list. Even if it is just a list of people I should make sure I check out, I think that'll help me along. Not sure if it holds a great amount of value in 2014(didn't seem like it held up well in 2009 either) and will probably mean less in 2016 but hopefully if/when this thing gets off the ground a good deal of threads get started for it.

As long as interest can be kept throughout then this could be AWESOME!

Anyone got the guts to try and figure out how to develop a way to turn these posts into a manageable master list down the line?

Anyone have a majority of the attendance figures for ICW this year? Or at least from July to current? They've ran 5 shows in that period and will be at 7 by the end of August. That's a pretty consistent rate. You've got Cabana coming in and Galloway but what else? If they did well in that period they probably shouldn't be undersold. And likewise for the reverse.

I really set myself up for disappointment for getting so stoked when Lesnar vs Cena was leaked. Then after Battlegrounds I thought "Hey, Rollins vs Ambrose didn't happen but their first match on the main roster is going to be at SummerSlam and that shall be GRAND". A lumberjack announcement later and while it is likely to be good because of the workers I doubt it'll be anything close to what I was hoping. OTHER THINGS: Jericho vs Wyatt is currently a proven snoozer. Cesaro vs RVD is a complete waste of Cesaro and proven to be meh. Why would I be interested in Ziggler vs Miz? Lee vs Paige hopefully found some chemistry hiding under their pillows because they didn't have it last month. Reigns vs Orton? Getting sleepy just thinking about it. Brie vs Stephanie was being built up rather amazingly until last week where they absolutely jumped the shark and MURDERED my interest. Oh and there is a 2014 flag match.

Leading the southern indie push for more coverage?

I think I've seen a total of one Sparx match. And that was her match against Page in AIW last year. That was worked a lot in the vein of her being the underdog female. I have no idea how she works in various promotions now. I've seen her go from delivering backdrop drivers to twerking in female's faces. NO IDEA WHAT TO THINK!
