I'm not sure it is fair to say, but I haven't really seen a TON of diversity among women in indie wrestling. Like Luke Gallows and Michael Elgin are very far apart in what they do in the ring in what they do. With the rule of numbers there are a good chunk of guys who can work more like Luke Gallows even if a bigger part try and emulate an Elgin. Women's wrestling feels shrunk WAY down so that you have a smaller pool and much more working an ROH/SHIMMER type thing versus a Southern Brawl. I like that diversity and I don't feel I quite get that with women's wrestling. I like Mickie Knuckles but I don't know if I've seen 10 or even 5 who can work like she can. This goes into intergender because they make up half the equation. Totally cool with women and men wrestling each other but if I don't like the wrestlers in the match I'm probably not going to watch. Like I'm not a big enough fan of Athena to pay to see her against a Louis Lyndon, who I do like. The inverse, Kimber Lee I think is quite good but I don't care to see her against Jay Lethal cause I don't like half the equation. So I don't have any moral issues with it just I think it isn't often they'll pair two workers I like together.

My favorite part apart of Joe's comments/tweets/statements is to write in "in my opinion" in my own mind. Much easier to swallow versus the certainty it is stated. And he knows that and will go back to state that but it rarely come out like that the first go around which is FINE! I think Show is a rather fantastic big man. I haven't seen enough from Andre to say that he was absolutely better than Show but I feel more than comfortable saying he isn't [hyperbole] worse than Show just based off a few performances I've seen closer to his prime.

Chris Hero vs Timothy Thatcher is THE Evolve match I want right now. Give them that main event epic in the vein of Hero vs Hidaka.
-
Lack of Tito Ortiz love is disappointing.
-
HIGH: Aries Destination X win against Robby Rude. HIGH: Tito Ortiz's return to THE IMPACT ZONE to kill Rampage Jackson.
-
You've said that twice now and I want these coming days to get here quick just to know!
-
Dylan, elaborate on everything.

They had name indie guys for Revolution Pro? (They are alive so I guess it is "have")
-
Busick has shown if anything that he is more willing to switch to that style than the others. Shown in matches against Elgin in AIW and his series against Eddie Edwards.
-
Favorite part of that list is when random guys pop in like Ron Mathis. Like not surprised Elgin is #1. Works a ton of places and is high ranking in almost all of them. I find it funny that Nick is so many places ahead of his brother based on about a weekend's worth of work. Hmmmm. Can you explain how the formula works that has AJ Styles with more matches, higher on the card, and a higher winning percentage than people in front of him?

It means top Dragon Gate guys seem very protected in singles matches and SHINGO fairly well protected in tags as well(Twin Gate champ or former champ now?). Insane work Mookie.

There's a fair bit of variety in indie wrestling if searched for. Timothy Thatcher is the man! Speaking of Thatcher pretty excited that EVOLVE is doing this round robin thing involving Busick and Gulak as well. Within 3 nights you get Busick vs. Gulak again, Busick vs Thatcher 2, and Thatcher vs Gulak for like the 3rd or 4th time this year. Now if everything else in EVOLVE sounded as good.

Feels like there is enough indie fans on this board to have a thread like the Current WWE megathread. Show thoughts, upcoming stuff, or have point to make about an indie wrestler or feud from the mid 2000's. What have you. Now either this thread will seem unnecessary and Loss will delete it or it'll help extend from what BillThompson's Top 50 Workers list started with talking about current, not just WWE, wrestling.

The Bray Wyatt conundrum.

Mikey Whipwreck could totally make my Top 100. That's kinda out of the blue but still.

Some indie workers can be much more tolerable given a particular environment. Seems as if Konley fits in that mold cause every time I've seen Konley before I've never felt compelled to see anything more from him. Gargano doesn't change but at the same time I can enjoy some of his stuff. Also as far as watching AAA what is the best way to go about it since they don't seem to have a ton of STAND OUT stuff? PS:Hopefully this kinda list leads to more lists that contribute to a more cumulative list(s).

Hechicero is the one WAY out side where I'd put him. Have him easy Top 5 but prolly #1. Tajiri that high is not something I quite "get" but I'd like to hear the reason. His two matches in 2CW were him throwing some killer kicks followed by mist. Nothing overly fantastic. Hard for me to get Daniel Bryan that high either despite me liking most of his performances before the injury. Thatcher being #1 makes the omission of Gulak that much more surprising. In general though it is a diverse list which will always be something I like seeing.
-
He had a match against Jay Freddie from Beyond that I enjoyed but I'm a little biased with 2CW influence. And how Cannon gets STOPPED in his tracks. But yeah, he's gonna get by with some patented tactics from DR and a little Matt Cross. HIGH workrate and jumping from HIGH places.
-
To be fair he is VERY much Davey Richards from 2009. But smaller. At least from the little I've seen. Willing to take some nutty bumps. Entirely reckless when diving. Not sure he's had that 20+ minute match that gets some talk that really starts the loathe train. Or he could kill it. I'd like to get proven wrong. I really would.

Current Favorite Wrestler To Watch: Timothy Thatcher. Every time I watch him I go WHOA! Last Fun Match You Saw: Rampage Brown vs Darrell Allen. Short but fun. Sometimes that's more than enough. Was here. Wrestler You Want To See More Of: Necro Butcher. Cause I feel like I havn't come close to seeing enough. Last Live Show Attended: Xcite Wrestling's Anger Management. Local Binghamton,NY promotion working the area while 2CW works their other UNY markets. Match You Are Looking Forward To Watching Soon The Most: Kevin Steen/Jason Axe vs. Dudley Boys with Spike as ref. It would be Rampage Brown vs Samoa Joe but the tag match benefits from the fact that I'll be there. Axe is a guy who sometimes gets put in the ring with the SUPER FAST COOL INDY guys but he does infinitely better in matches like the one he had with Matt Hardy or Masada. Last Fun Interview/Promo You Saw: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6tZ9audNuPo Dick Justice being a wrestling GAWD and all that jazz. Last Interesting Thing You Read About Wrestling: http://wrestlingonearth.com/seven-things-top-7-tweets-of-june-2014/ For all you Twitter people. Last Worthwhile Wrestling Podcast You Heard: Segunda Caida Podcast. To be fair though I listened to VOW and Wrestle Culture the day prior. One could say I'm doing good in the worthwhile podcast department. Most Fun You've Had Watching Wrestling Lately: Going to that Xcite show cause while watching wrestling on the projector is nice, watching it with a bunch of others is funner.

Thought I'd post my wrestling blog. Really early on but I'm really just doing write up of matches. None will probably be from this year but we'll see. It is mostly for my organization of my thoughts on matches but if people are interested in reading them and commenting on them then there's that. Latest match I write about is Ishikawa vs Ikeda from 2005. http://spandexarestillcool.wordpress.com

What does wrestling need to get hot again?
concrete1992 replied to JaymeFuture's topic in Pro Wrestling
The season concept I can jive with. I think Chikara has done an okay job with it but someone can take it a step forward. Now whose got the balls to do "series" ala American Horror Story. -

See the topic and post seem to be a little at odds. The topic says what does it need to get hot. Has anything ever stayed hot? Then the post says what does wrestling need. So is the question about gradual, sustainable growth, or boom period type growth? -

More skin. Sorry didn't read the post just the topic. I don't know if there is anything. Maybe new competition? When there are two opposing sides or brands(not wrestling brands just brands in general) it tends to bring out the best in eachother as well as the passion from fans. Sometimes that passion can be contagious. In video games you've had Nintendo vs Sega, Nintendo vs Sony, Sony vs Microsoft, ect.. In comics you've got Marvel versus DC. Wait, that actually works counter to my point doesn't it? Unless you're talking about movies/TV I suppose. So I doubt this would happen and really is a wildcard in terms of it making wrestling hip.
