  1. There really have been some embarrassing stories for poor Virgil over the years. I doubt there will be anything quite as cringing as the NY subway fiasco a couple of years back.
  2. The South African Raw really is something rotten. If you haven't seen it in a while... Yeah you can probably go without doing so.
  3. Yeah, the hardcore / IC title switch is still something which baffles me, but has never really had a lot of ink dedicated to it (to the best of my knowledge). Maybe people have just repressed it.

    Easy, easy... she looked great.
  6. Somebody should make a thread comparing the two.
  7. You couldn't pay me $3 to sit through any of that...
  8. Where are you Marty, in the UK? If so, my gut tells me it will feature a lot less content.
  9. Good interview, thanks for sharing.

Or he found Chris Jericho's 2001 routine hilarious in its irony.
  11. There was talk of a Hogan vs Tyson match in the late 80's, according to certain reports. As well as speculation of Tyson and Austin working a match in the late 90's, played up by the announcers on TV and by fans. Obviously both would have been huge, so I ask which would have been bigger? Personally, I feel although the Austin / Tyson initial confrontation got a lot of publicity, the prospect of a "in his absolute prime" Mike Tyson appearing in the golden age WWF would have been better. Tyson was due to appear on SNME before the Douglas loss, which I'm sure would have been a big deal if it were Tyson knocking down Savage and holding Hogan's hand instead. Just thinking about that gives me goosebumps. Therefore I can only believe a worked match between Tyson and Hogan would have been a bigger deal and a bigger draw.
  12. Bix wasn't said angle on PPV and not television? (The Dawn / Torrie hotel kissing).
  13. Moxley and Black? Are you sure that was a Tweet and not a posting on wrestlingforum.com?
  14. A high for me was seeing their toys in stores when I was shopping for my nephews Christmas presents. If he was into wrestling (sadly not) I'd have loved to have gotten him a Samoa Joe figure or whatever. TNA had a tonne of toys which was nice to see, around 2006 / 2007. Also, the graphics on their video game looked amazing at the time. Shame the game was rotten, if not slightly apt.
  15. It would be mental, stupid from a logistics point of view and over saturate one of its best markets. But this is TNA, I wouldn't be shocked if they moved to Yemen.
  16. Even if it was, I view it as the opposite of a Mike Tyson/Wrestlemania 14 situation. On the one scenario you lose money on an angle but it leads you to making way more money and better ratings down the line. On the other scenario you pop a ratings boost with cheap smut but lose a lot of fans through the tasteless, seedy nature of the angle, not to mention all the people who maybe stopped their young kids getting exposure to WWE because of 'hot lesbian action' and the other stuff they were putting out. Parents letting their kids watch late night TV objecting to content? That's absurd.
  17. I relate to JerryvonKramer's post. I too have several main interests, mine being film, music, video games, my girlfriend. Its like a territory system, I shake the properties around to freshen things up ;-)
  18. Who he would have liked to work with in the WWF in the 1993 climate had he made the jump back then.
  19. They have about 8 weeks to find a network which is hard enough. You then need to ask whether they will get the perks they got from Spike. Let's face facts, Spike kept TNA in business for the best part of a decade. Its not looking good.
  20. I'd give the nod to Molly Holly. From Miss Madness in WCW where she was rubbing shoulders with the main events, through to WWF where I enjoyed the Spike / Molly stuff to no end. She had fine matches with all the 'big name' women's wrestlers like Lita and Trish, and having her head shaved at Wrestlemania 20, and all of the sillyness afterwards was a hoot. She was fantastic, respected, she has kept a strong and clean image since leaving the promotion, so to me its a no brained.
  21. The writings been on the wall for a while now. The product has picked up lately, but this last year has felt like I was watching a donkey on its last legs.
  22. Its the old piracy debate 101. People will always be split on this matter. I see both sides of the argument, I'd be selective about what I take down, I.e fresh ppv, docs etc. An old ECW TNN taping may tempt somebody to check out more in far better quality.
  23. With Dave saying some huge news is upcoming this week, any speculation?
  24. Because not even Vince McMahon can stop it!!!!
