  1. He may be 58 and have bad knees but on this night Keiji Muto was motivated. He bumped around crazy and did everything he could to make everyone buy into the idea of Kitamiya beating him for the GHC title. Kitamiya held up his end of things by looking beastly in his attacks and showing urgency building to the big tease of the prison lock. Strong title defense from the Muto.
  2. Will Ospreay defends the IWGP World Heavyweight Title Forty-four minutes and Fifty-Three seconds with two of the best in the world currently displaying their unavailable excellent chemistry. This lived up to their epic BOSJ final and then some. Crazy spots, beautiful counters, and callbacks with maneuvers from past opponents were the components to make this amazing masterpiece of a MOTYC.
  3. Incredible war of two old battle-tested dudes beating each other senseless. If you like hard slaps, elbows, and punt kicks this is for you.
  4. Great premiere for season three. Them revealing the details of Pillman's family turmoil was rough to hear, mainly Rochelle's saga and Brian jr's abuse. Kim Wood stole the show with his segments especially his analysis of Vince and Eric during his contract negotiations with Brian, "What do you do to a whore, you fuck em".
  5. A great New Japan main event for the NEVER championship. Jay worked extensively over Tanahashi's left leg leading in the retaliation of Tanahashi focusing on Jay's leg from an offensive and defensive perspective. Tanahashi was in his big match form selling and steadily building to an epic conclusion. As for White, he was on fire adding small fragments of his heelwork while working on the leg. This went over 30 minutes but made everything they did engaging never feeling like a bore to watch. A strong finishing counter sequence ending in a sweet-looking blade runner by White winning the belt and having his second-best performance of the year.
  6. Short but entertaining tournament match with Momo dominating with kicks leading SK to make her comeback and gain the upper hand. Both did as much as they could cramming in as much as they could resulting in a finish that made both look strong.
  7. A very strong possibility, I was lumping it together with the explosion mishap at Revolution. He was the weak link of the match.
  8. Blood and Guts was everything I want from a Wargames match but as stated in the thread AEW has production problems that need to be corrected asap. Jericho looked like he landed on a bean bag.
  9. Wonder if they'll link her up with Brian Kendrick again?
  10. We'll see him on Raw in a few months unless he's serious about his dream matches outside WWE.
  11. Good sign with Deonna showing up, she needs all the opponents she can get. Are there any good women in AAA?
  12. Fun match with Darby excelling in the role that gave notoriety, being an underdog babyface giving his body, and using his cleverness to prevail. As for Cage just did his usual power stuff but it was great because of Darby.
  13. Been watching Kevin Ku from MLW and he's good also this was my first exposure to Daniel Garcia and I liked what I saw. This was an intense physical technical struggle that stole the show on WM week and it was tremendous. Everything these two did had a purpose with the intention to punish while managing their time sensibly.
  14. Lashley looking clean in that purple.
  15. Rebellion was a solid show with nothing bad on it. I saw Konnan stated on Twitter that Impact is waiting for Mexico and Japan to open so they can work on visas. Some AAA/Stardom talent would help their product tremendously.
  16. Wasting away Dijak's youth, damn shame.
  17. Much like her performance earlier this year with Miyu this was another serious outing from Ito by starting with aggressive offense and never letting up on Rika. Tatsumi had a spirited comeback to even things for the middle portion with strikes leading to the end with back and forth action between the two resulting in Tatsumi gaining the win in a strong Princess Of Princess title defense.
  18. A surprise to start day 1 of the Carnival. Yuma played the disrespectful youngster perfectly, even mocking Otani's sword pose. Contrast that with Otani being the no-nonsense veteran who's not putting up with Aoyagi's mess made up this awesome sprint these two put on.
  19. Great action from the opening bell until the end. This didn't feel like a 30-minute match at all with all four women giving maximum effort keeping my attention fully with individual segments and sweet-looking tag maneuvers.
  20. Easily Bea's best performance in Stardom and Utami's best Red Belt defense. A great story of her going all out and hitting every bomb imaginable in her arsenal to secure the win but never could put Hayashishita away who's battles back strongly.
  21. Very intense between these two that kept progressing until the finish. Nakano right now is one of the best in the world and can draw emotion like no other. Natsupoi is getting there on the list of those on Stardom's roster who's ready to have the rocket strapped to them with her great showing here.
  22. There are going all out to make this match as special as it can get, would be great if AEW did some promotion on Dynamite.
  23. With standing his goofy character on the main roster when it's time Riddle can go and Sheamus has been on a hot streak this year putting out stellar performances being one of the best in the entire company. So these two given enough time in a match that best suits what they do best is no surprise, but I was still blown away. A physical struggle with heavy strikes that cumulated in the counter into the Brouge Kick, great notebook material.
  24. An intense hoss battle of endurance that maybe had the best Jeff Cobb performance in New Japan. There were times Cobb channeled his inner Matanza Cueto as an unstoppable monster during his Lucha Underground tenure with dominant offense. Shingo was his consistently great self as usual, you can never go wrong with this man in the ring. Both men's selling was out of this world conveying exhaustion tremendously, especially Shingo working underneath. Not surprising this will be on everyone's MOTY lists because this was pure brilliance.
