  1. Not saying you're wrong, but if this was true I don't see why Tony Schiavone gets so much heat for his infamous "announcing it on Nitro and losing all their viewers" debacle. Why would that have been such a big deal if it just said it on WWE's website anyway
  2. How is including HHH/Undertaker providing a good cross section. They're each in about a dozen matches on the list.
  3. Pete Gas Elax Mellow
  4. I strongly disliked HHH/Undertaker from Wrestlemania 27. I thought there should be more Daniel Bryan on the list, too.

I don't know the context of what you're talking about, but I find WWE hard to dvr because they always run over and I miss the last five minutes of the show. And on the WWE app they do a lot of "two screen experience" stuff where you didn't get to see the ending of a match unless you were using the app (implying you had to watch the app live, the tv show live, and not dvring it). So I'm just speaking to WWE's claim of being dvr proof, they do at least try to make it so the viewer gets more out of it if they watch the show live. I dvr it myself and couldn't sit through a 3 hour Raw live. I have never ever seen them miss the finish of a match and just play it on the app and I have missed one RAW in like the last 2-3 years. Cesaro/Kingston the night after MITB. Ironically, I was at Raw live that night where I wouldn't have needed the app to see the ending but I was at the refreshment stand anyway lol. I thought they did it one other time, too.

  7. Be careful, While I don't know the segment you're referencing I'm pretty sure TNA uses cued boos and cheers. I'm basing this on the fact that multiple times I hear cheering and jeering yet look at the fans and see them in their chairs not reacting at all.
  8. I'm a little behind on watching everything, but I just caught the "Extreme Rules Fallout" and the post show press conferences were just beyond hokey. And I'm not trying to be super critical snarky negative nancy. I encourage them doing stuff like this for the WWE Network, but it was the least believable press conference possible. I'm pretty sure, it was just prerecorded questions and Daniel Bryan was in the room by himself. And he didn't even put a shirt on. Hilariously bad, but again I appreciate them trying to add as much content for the fans as possible.

  10. Boy you called that wrong. I don't know about that. Mr. T going on about his mom, and non-rapist brothers for 30+ tops Warrior's speech where he was all over the place on his agenda for craziest speech of the night. Not really. Mr. T had a great speech, don't get me wrong, Christ and your mother are probably the two most important people in your life so I think dedicating your entire speech to them is great, but I think Warrior handled himself well, said everything he wanted to say, set the record straight on a lot of things, and showed a sense of humor (the humor in T's speech was all the unintentional variety). I can't argue he wasn't all over the place because every acceptance speech is, but I have no clue how you can possibly say he had an agenda for craziest speech of the night. He was the exact opposite of that. People expected him to come out and shoot on everyone, but beyond a few jabs he was pretty professional. If I didn't know better, I'd say you didn't watch Warrior's acceptance speech and posted that response based on what you figured he'd do. Now I know that's not true, but that's how far off your account of it seems to me.

  12. Yeah who takes a shit with a half dozen people sitting five feet away? someone who really needs to take a shit? Ehh, I don't know. I think it's just common courtesy to not stink up a bus like that where everyone is in a confined area. Especially if they specifically told you you couldn't.
  13. Yeah who takes a shit with a half dozen people sitting five feet away?
  14. Even more reason why I don't understand why the logic behind not letting someone be a multiple time inductee. It's not that I don't think someone should be inducted twice, I just don't think it's necessary. Once you're in, you're in. Point taken on the basketball hall of fame, though. And I don't really have a problem with it, I was just stating an opinion. I think it's unnecessary to induct someone into something they're already in, but the fact that they are isn't really a big deal. My intentions were just that the montage for Hall was all Razor Ramon highlights so I thought it was discussion worthy. I also get the point about the WWE Hall of Fame is not something intended to take seriously, but I don't think there is any harm stating an opinion on a particular aspect of it and asking others what they think.
  15. Wasn't a rhetorical question because I really don't know. I mean 20 years ago WWE liked to ignore everything that wasn't WWE, but those times have changed when they bought all the video footage. Scott Hall matches are readily available on the WWE Network. Most HoF montages highlight a character's entire career and this package started and ended with Razor Ramon. The thought crossed my mind that they wanted to induct him separately as a member of the Outsiders/nWo, but is Scott Hall really such an important character that he gets inducted twice? I didn't like it when they did it with Ric Flair, but even then _it's Ric Flair_. Hall deserved a spot in the Hall of Fame, but one induction is enough.
  16. Anyone know why the highlights are all Razor Ramon and there was nothing from his time as Scott Hall (which he's most known for)?
  17. Finally got this yesterday. I've been stalling because my dvr is basically clogged and I have so much regular tv I'm behind on. But I was going to get it by Wrestlemania anyway and if I ordered by yesterday I'd at least get a week free. So far I've just checked out the NXT. Does anyone know if they plan on airing episodes older than like February? Also looking forward to checking out some of the recent ppvs, been so long since I ordered ppvs beyond the main few. And I didn't watch much WCW toward the end so I'm looking forward to getting to see some of that train wreck.
  18. Almost no talk at all. He barely got a word in edgewise with the chick from Community always piping up. They have a spot on the (live) show where people get to come up and ask a question. Part of me was hoping a wrestling fan would get up there and say "it's real to me dammit" but it didn't happen. He carried himself well. Didn't get to say as much as the other two on the couch, but took it in stride and joked and looked like he was having fun up there.
  19. I'm probably going to go with the unpopular opinion and say it was either the match that went on last or Sting/Cactus and I definitely don't think it was Steamboat/Rude (though that match was probably my favorite match on the show). You can argue the match that goes on last should be the main event though I understand that is flawed logic. But I recall the promos for the ppv being all Sting/Cactus. Now I see that people are pulling up old commercials and old posters that say differently, but I just don't remember it that way. IIRC Sting was just basically THE headliner at the time in general.
  20. It can take advantage of narrative opportunities that real sports can't. It's crazy when they squander that for one reason or another. Different strokes for different folks. I like both.
  21. I agree that limb work doesn't always have to "go somewhere" but I just don't think if a wrestler's leg is getting worked on the entire match he should be doing a shooting star press or a phoenix splash by the end. Or at least have him struggling to do it a little. But I get it, in a theoretically legit fight if a part of your body is hurting you're supposed to do everything in your power to not let your opponent know it. But then again, the argument is that pro wrestling isn't necessarily supposed to simulate a "legit fight."
  22. How do you get it on the ps3? I realize that questions sounds so stupid, but I really have no idea. I assumed it would be up there where you can sign up for netflix, redbox, amazon etc but it's not.
  23. The definition of insanity - doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result.
  24. Actually, this match gets pooped on pretty much everywhere. People always have something negative to say about that match. I, for one, loved it though. I thought the match played well off the buildup and the Survivor Series match a couple years prior. Bret said his strategy going in was that knowing he had an hour and knowing Michaels took a lot of risks, he'd wait and then capitalize on it. HBK would take more risks to get the falls back and keep making mistakes. But instead, Michaels went in to the match and worked a "slow pace" where he didn't take any chances that Brett predicted he'd do. Fast forward to fifteen minutes left in the match, Michaels grows impatient and "the showstopper" comes out and and he starts going for moonsalts and spinning double axehandles. And with about 90 seconds left, he takes one more risk, goes for the dropkick off the top where he finally made the mistake that Bret was about to capitalize on. He caught him and threw him in the sharpshooter just like he had a couple years prior from the same move. But this time Shawn lucked out because the time limit expired. And then we all know how it goes from there. Maybe it just holds a special place in my heart because I used to love Shawn Michaels growing up and I was happy to see him win. But yeah, my original point was I thought it was really odd you'd refer to that match as having widespread admiration when everything I've ever read about that match is complete disdain.
  25. Yes, but you are comparing the entire United Kingdom to a city in America.
