  1. It's a pointless Saudi Blood Money show. Another fuck finish won't matter in the slightest.
  2. If Fiend doesn't win the title on Halloween, all hope is lost. I don't care about "The Gypsy King," his useless nickname, and his inability to break a pen. Even Asuka or Drew Gulak would've been able to break that pen with ease. Mauro would've snapped that pen in half while coming up with a witty reference about Bic ballpoint pens.
  3. Joe, Miz, and Corbin being drafted so late is genuinely shocking.
  4. Did, er, Tyson Fury try to break a pen three times and fail miserably on live television? Get these useless sports goofs off my TV already!
  5. Yeah, no. Bennett is not and never has been over. Shawn Spears was massively over in NXT, still somewhat over in WWE, and has managed to get over again in AEW. Spears was a much smarter pickup, Cody's friend or not.
  6. Fair enough. I don't trust The Usos or Jeff Hardy either. But I don't put Kanellis in the same category. Painkiller addiction is something else entirely.
  7. I actually think he'd be a good fit for the NWA. Certainly an upgrade over the Eli Drakes of the world. Not sure Bennetts should be in plural though. There's no indication that Maria has also asked for her release. I'm guessing she hasn't, and they plan on living off her income so he can go be a "starving artist" on the independent circuit. AEW really has no room or use for this guy, and I hope they resist the temptation. Then I hope you don't trust The Usos (who are practically orgasmed about on PWO - undeservedly so, I might add), Jeff Hardy, or the hundreds of other addicts in wrestling. At least this guy has gotten clean and seems committed to staying that way for the sake of his family. That doesn't make him an awesome wrestler or hot free agent - he's neither, and I do think his alternative options are realistically limited - so while AEW and NJPW are probably not open to him, the NWA, Impact, and ROH likely are.
  8. Mike Kanellis has requested his release from WWE. I was wondering why his cuck storyline was replaced by Rusev's.
  9. And like I said earlier in the thread, I do.
  10. Correction: Orton was written to win a lot of championships. Brady presumably won them legitimately (not counting the DeflateGate theories, of which I have admittedly very little knowledge of or interest in). Truthfully, the only football I care about comes from the jokes made about the Jacksonville Jaguars on The Good Place. I'm sad that's ending, because you know they would've had amazing AEW jokes too (same owner for both).

    NWA Powerrr

Absurd comment. If you're too lazy to read the whole thread, don't criticize other posts and posters here. My post was mostly positive, true, but I wasn't exactly head over heels in love with the weird James Storm-Josephus shit. I didn't mention it, but Eli Drake does nothing for me either.
  12. Well, Orton sure does deflate ratings and fan interest...
  13. Have you tried plugging the Kayfabe Memories URL into archive.org. It's a longshot, especially if the board was locked behind a login (I can't remember), but it's worth a try.
  14. This is sad... I hope Jeff Hardy gets the help he needs and stops putting others in harm's way with his selfish, reckless actions. I don't judge people for having substance issues. I do judge them when they're a danger to innocent lives with DUI/DWIs, like Jeff and The Usos do habitually. I know there was a poster here who had a DUI/DWI once - once being the key word - and he spoke eloquently about it. I can respect that. What I can't respect is Jeff doing it over and over. If Jeff wants to get fucked up in his own house, I don't care. The minute other people's lives are on the line because this drug-addicted redneck fuck doesn't care about anyone other than himself, that's where I lose all sympathy. Reby really doesn't help her case though...

    AEW Dark Megathread

Haven't watched this yet... Is it just a bunch of rasslin' without any storylines or angles? Honest question. If that's the case, it seems fairly pointless and throwaway to me - and probably not the show for me. I have to think anything important would be saved for TNT, right? I'm assuming the real idea behind this is to use it a trojan horse to advertise AEW's main outing on TNT, which is honestly not the worst plan in the world. Ironically, I read that 22% of NWA Powerrr's audience came from this show. Then again, I wasn't expecting anything this high-profile... Even though I hate garbage wrestling and didn't love their last match, this makes me curious enough to tune in next week.

    NWA Powerrr

Man, I loved the shit out of this - and it's not even nostalgia talking, as I didn't start watching wrestling until 1991. It was a fun, fast-paced hour of wrestling that got over the wrestlers, storylines, feuds, and - most importantly - the ten pounds of gold. What's not to like? The cosplay comments are weird to me, as the whole "what's old is new" vibe is exactly what this show needs to be doing and exactly what makes it unique in 2019. As for Cornette, as much as I think he's an embarrassment to the industry, he has always been a great character and did great character work here as a commentator. If anything, the other commentator felt really overshadowed, but I think he'll find his voice as the weeks go on and they gel more cohesively. The only thing I'm curious about is Josephus. I realize he had his head shaved in an angle a while back, but his current look - like the dude from The Hangover - isn't doing him any favors, and it felt like James Storm was burying him in a promo. Losing so quickly didn't help either. It doesn't make any sense that they'd intentionally bury Josephus though, since he's been one of the pillars of the promotion since Corgan and Lagana took over, so I am wondering what story they're trying to tell here. On that note, I am curious to see how Tim Storm bounces back from never being able to get another shot at the Worlds Heavyweight Title again? Heel turn? His low blow seemed desperate and out of character. The valet with Aldis seemed to lack personality, but maybe that's part of the story too, since she's being presented as a shrinking violet in an abusive relationship who is too afraid to speak up for herself. I assume that's intentional too. Not sure why Aldis went from having Austin Idol as his manager to this no-name sidepiece though. Were there any MOTYs in this hour? No. But Storm and Aldis told a good story. Overall, this was wonderful premiere episode and it's something I'll faithfully tune into each week.
  17. More humiliation for the behind-the-times, antiquated, ice cold, stale, horrible, geriatric WWE product.
  18. Weren't there reports that FOX wanted Bray? If that's the case, then it's their own damn fault that they're getting silly shit like that Seth-Roman finish on Smackdown.
  19. The absolute mismanagement of super hot over babyfaces is one of the reasons WWE is as unbearable as it is. Even a geek like Seth is being sabotaged by being forced to cry in the corner.
  20. I'm shocked kids still care about Bayley this much. It just reinforces how badly WWE botched her face run, as they do for all of their babyfaces.
  21. Bayley winning is literally the only unpredictable moment tonight's show has had.
  22. Careful... The guy who got offended by everyone's "Kassius Ohno looks awful in basketball shorts" posts will have a conniption if he sees this.
