  1. The big story is, which one headlines, and will Bret and/or HBK's egos be able to handle it?
  2. Not really. It was basically a watered down televised dirt sheet (or the Mean Gene WCW Hotline come to life, except not nearly as entertaining as that sounds) with a WWE spin. The most infamous episode is the one about Lex Luger "murdering" Elizabeth - complete with the 911 call.
  3. That's a fair point. But as the years go on, his value diminishes bit by bit. He's getting older, more broken down, had a DUI as recently as a couple of years ago, etc. One or two nostalgia draws is a good idea, but I really don't want AEW to become TNA or even modern WWE and go to that well too often. Jericho and maybe one other would be perfect as far as old-timers go. Everyone else should be a mix of hot indy acts (Elite, ROH, etc.), international draws (NJPW), strategic ex-WWE signings (Pac and perhaps Ambrose, yes; Alberto, no) and new homegrown stars. To be fair, it seems like that's exactly what AEW is doing.
  4. Really fun PPV. Maybe it's because I missed the pre-show, but this felt like it went by quickly. Wasn't a slog like so many others.
  5. What a heel Bryan is. I was actually rooting against him (and I love him) and rooting for Kofi (who I do like).
  6. Wacky prediction: Big E turns on Kofi and goes Green.
  7. That was WCW levels of bad.
  8. I'd laugh if that happened. Bryan-Lacey actually wouldn't be the worst thing in the world.
  9. Someone new joins Bryan's Green Army to cost Kofi the match, right?
  10. Kenny said he only met the guy once, and he apologized for the whole thing after it came to light. Whether new information came out after this was posted, I don't know... http://www.prowrestlingsheet.com/omega-chasyn-rance-njpw/ Not trying to be a Kenny apologist, but it does seem like he was blindsided by this. I don't know enough about the situation to say otherwise.
  11. Now saw this... Wasn't this an instance of Kenny not doing his homework and getting caught off-guard?
  12. Guys, Lacey Evans was obviously supposed to help McIntyre and Lashley with the Braun beatdown, but she missed her cue.
  13. So, who did Braun piss off, and why are McIntyre and Lashley suddenly Corbin's henchmen?
  14. And it wouldn't shock me if Corbin wins.
  15. Semantics though. And Jey got a DUI last year. These guys act like infantile frat boys. If I were Tony Khan's financial adviser, well, he'd be in trouble, but ignoring that fact, I'd tell him not to waste a dime on these two drunkards. Naomi, I don't know if the idiot was drunk, or just lost and confused. I lean toward the latter because she wasn't arrested. One is a crime, the other is just excusable stupidity.
  16. Anyway, that Becky segment was amazing. I can't remember the last time WWE was truly all-in on someone's push the way they are with her.
  17. The Usos are unreliable DUIdiots. AEW would absolutely be better off without them. Make new stars from within, which in all fairness is what they seem to be doing. If Jericho and Tony Khan are to be believed, AEW won't be rushing to get every midcard castoff that becomes available. Usos aren't worth the headache.
  18. They're WWE midcarders for life because tag teams are midcard in WWE. AEW is better off avoiding most of those types and building from within IMO. There are always exceptions, of course. I think we all want to see The Revival vs. The Bucks, but Dash and Dawson (or whatever they would be called in AEW) could be positioned as an underrated team who was "hard done" in WWE (even though they're the WWE Tag Champs now and have generally been pushed well when not injured, but the perception is otherwise for whatever reason).
  19. Usos should have been squashed, sent home, and paid the bare minimum. I have no sympathy for idiots who get DUIs and endanger the lives of innocent people. Ditto for Jeff Hardy. This fear about any of them going to AEW is overstated IMO. Jeff Hardy barely drew a dime for TNA, certainly wouldn't for AEW ten years and ten injuries later, and the Usos definitely wouldn't move the needle for AEW. Young Bucks vs. Usos isn't a legitimate main event, no matter how much more important tag team wrestling will be in AEW (and it should be).
  20. I was expecting this to be MOTY, and it has been merely okay (the second half has been fun though). Edit: I meant MOTN, MOTN, MOTN. Jesus. Definitely not MOTY. :O
  21. I was bored to tears with the first half, but the second half has been decent enough. Classic? No. Great? No. But it has served its purpose. Let's see if WWE is gutsy enough to throw us a curveball and go with Mandy and Sonya.
  22. Say what you want about Tamina, but that Superfly Splash was impressive.
  23. Because they don't want to get concussed.
  24. There go my precious Iiconics.
  25. Maybe, but the Riott Squad will never, ever draw a dime - whereas you can actually get some mileage out of these two as a fun heel act.
