This match was a showcase for Sting instead of Darby, which I question, but damn that was fun. FTR is super-underrated, even when we all know how great they are.

The only thing better than a Cody win here would be Christian coming out for a post-match brawl with Cody. Two of the best workers in the entire business in a hot feud would be instant money.

Since I think very highly of my takes on Pac, I'll take that as a compliment.

Hot take: Cody should and will win. He's a real star with endless crossover appeal. Black wasn't special in NXT, wasn't special in WWE, and isn't special in AEW. He's a big man who can do some movez - big deal!

Pillman Jr. needs to work on expressing anger better. MJF is abusing Julia Hart and Pillman Jr.'s all "rah rah babyface." MJF winning quickly and cleanly is a very unsatisfactory result. Meh.

Pillman Jr. really needs to win this and become a "made man." But he won't because they're all-in on MJF, and I get why, but still.

Fun match, but it really felt like more of a taste, a teaser, which isn't the worst thing in the world. Didn't feel like 30 minutes (in a good way).
