Probably because she's a woman. If she were a man, they'd roll out the welcome mat. NWA is really backward and embarrassing. (Not that I think they should hire Tessa. They shouldn't. She's not the draw or attraction she thinks she is, and she's not worth the trouble. Plenty of women who are just as talented, without all of the baggage.)

SummerSlam has its work cut out for it tonight to come anywhere near last night's Rampage or tomorrow night's NXT TakeOver. WWE gonna WWE by seemingly making the Reigns-Cena result a foregone conclusion with that dopey retirement stip. At most, there's mild speculation that Roman might be going "nope" to all of the super-spreader anti-vax morons in the locker room and getting the hell out of that Covid dumpster. (I don't see that happening though.) But yeah, Cena has been a complete douchebag in this feud - I forgot how unbearable and counterproductive his dickhead face shtick was - so I'm not rooting for him either.

Hey, man, best wishes to you and your mom, safe travels to you, and I hope she makes a speedy recovery. Tonight was a magical night. I'm glad you're able to enjoy it and your mind off things for a bit.

Nah, Punk vs. Omega is money. So is Punk and Bryan vs. Young Bucks. The real money, of course, is Punk vs. the true Best in the World, "The Instant Classic" Christian Cage.

I loved how CM Punk hugged so many fans and dived into the crowd. I've never seen him so demonstrative with his emotions. What an incredible moment!

The Hero stans here can’t stand it, but The Shield would have been dead in six months if he had been a part of it. Like it or not, Vince having his eyes on the prize with Roman was what kept that faction so strong for so long. Meanwhile, Hero had two stints in NXT and both went nowhere. He never even made it to the main roster. People have argued that he wanted to be a player/coach in his second stint. Wanted? I doubt it. Probably more like he made peace with that being his spot and lot in life. Nobody wants to never be on Raw/Smackdown and never have a match at WrestleMania.
-
Which is ironic, because Mox would have easily been one of the top stars in ECW history, bar none.
-
Whether they're right or wrong in their assessment, why mention Punk and Bray at all? It comes off as classless and unnecessary.

Guess what day it is? Today is Arrogant Shield Assholes Bury Their Former Co-Workers Day Roman Reigns on CM Punk: "When it comes down to it, CM Punk was not as good or as over as John Cena, he wasn’t as good or as over, didn’t move the needle like The Rock, it just was what it was." (Source) Seth Rollins on Bray Wyatt: "Bray Wyatt. God, I miss him. But I wouldn’t say that I drew much inspiration from him. He was way out there with the stuff he wanted to do character wise, and it worked for him. For me, not so much. That’s not really where I sit when it comes to characters in wrestling. but it worked well for him." (Source)

Andrade completely embarrasses himself here. Dave has bent over backward to praise Charlotte and especially Ric. (Sorry to post a tweet from one of those pathetic anti-Meltzer accounts, but that is what Andrade replied to.)

Fun little show. Disappointing for anyone expecting Dynamite or a PPV, but I enjoyed it. The true best in the world! Me neither. I was trying to figure out which ex-WWE wrestler she was that I somehow didn't recognize, because they sure acted like the reveal was something huge and special. Weird approach.
-
Seems like the same set as Dynamite, or similar enough, which is kind of disappointing.

Damn you! Now I really want this. If nothing else, we would've gotten a great WWE Network documentary about it in the past. But now? With Peacock, WWE no longer has to bother. Same here.

Full transcript from WrestlingInc.com: Sounds like a rough road. So glad he's okay now! P.S. Wrestling fans fucking suck for blaming Mia Yim. They really are the lowest forms of life on earth.

Smart move making this the first match of the first episode of AEW's new show. You have one of the top five wrestlers from the Attitude Era, period, and still one of AEW's top attractions in Christian going against the hottest, most buzzed about champion in all of wrestling over the past several years in Kenny Omega. I can't wait to tune in!

Doudrop looks good to me, but yeah, we both know Vince sees her as Bertha Faye 2.0. The only real hope the women have is if Vince doesn't care about them enough, which is a double-edged sword in itself.

You mean English tough guys don't look like this?
-
Don't let the shaggy beard fool you: Bryan is actually a decent looking guy. Dragunov is bowling shoe ugly. And let's not even get started on Ridge Holland and Timothy Thatcher, who look like toothless vagrants and have zero shot of anything on the main roster. I realize I'm being overly harsh, but only to make a point: That's exactly what Vince, Dunn, and Prichard are probably thinking about a lot of these NXT "darlings."
-
Difference is, Jeff Hardy is a pretty boy - Dragunov has a face not even a mother could love. Even by the low standards of "wrestling pretty" (Ricky Morton, Tommy Rich, etc.), Dragunov ain't it. I hope I'm wrong and you're right, believe me, because I really like the guy, but we all know how cosmetic WWE is.
-
I'd love to be wrong, but in a world where we're debating whether Adam Cole (Bay Bay) would do well on the main roster, I don't see how Dragunov has a chance. Just to be clear, I think Dragunov is great, but will Vince, Dunn, or lick-ass Prichard? Doubtful.
-
You really think Draguov would do better on the main roster? That seems like a big reach to me, Bubba.
-
I'd love to know what the supposed "cure" was from March 2020. Ogogo can o-go-go fuck himself.
-
PETE DUNNE VS. DRUGANOV TONIGHT! Hell yeah!!! Kyle O'Reilly is dreadful next to Adam Cole. A stammering mess on the mic, no ring presence, no charisma, no personality. Cole is actually a damn good speaker - especially next to KoR - good enough to act in movies, even. I've never been a huge Cole fan, but he brings such a believably to his character that KoR completely lacks. Yeah, Bubba, Odyssey definitely feels like one of the few NXT acts who will do even better on the main roster.
