  1. Too sweet, perhaps.
  2. Yeah, I hope that match happens somewhere.
  3. That feels a little bit like "put the strap on Jinder before we go to India"-type thinking. Like they are worried that American NJPW fans might not care about a Main Event with a Japanese guy in it... To be fair, this is probably the hottest match they have on the table (assuming they don't want to do Omega-Naito this quickly). It did pretty incredible business for ROH. They needed a match like that especially since tickets for this show haven't been moving nearly as well as they did for Long Beach Yeah, All In hurt the sales a ton. There just aren’t enough NJPW fans in the states. Obviously, Mania played a huge part in ROH’s business with that match, as well. We bought our tix before any matches were announced.
  4. I assume he had this review/rating written out as soon as the match was even announced, like the New York Times does with celebrity obituaries. All he has to do is fill in the blanks.
  5. Don’t know how I just saw this now but, yeah, there was a lot of wrestling influence in general on R&F. Fez would do Flair promos all the time. Ron was/is a big fan of carny stuff. They also did the whole East Side Dave “Midnight Rider” saga that was probably my favorite thing ever. The “ECW Zombie” was a big fan of the show, as well. I miss Ron & Fez.
  6. On it! Dont have FB so Im hoping youll be updating the IG frequently. Filled out the survey, as well!
  7. Thought this was the best Omega/Okada match. I wouldn’t put it above the big Gargano performances of the year but I thought it was really good. Show as a whole was good. Not blowaway for me and I wasn’t very into Jericho/Naito (and I was one of the people here who said the Omega match was the best of Jericho’s career). Ospreay/Hiromu was predictably very good. Tag title match was pretty good, too. I fell asleep during the Elgin match, so he was on his game.
  8. Looking forward to starting Laissez-Faire Championship Wrestling one day. The Invisible Hand is the worst booker of all-time.
  9. Vicious & Delicious is also one of my absolute favorite tag team names ever.
  10. Awesome, Charles! So excited to see how this unfolds. I hope you’ll be podcasting, as well.
  11. My dream is labor guy Big Kev leading the future wrestler’s union.
  12. You finally sign with the Fed?
  13. I think Miz at Summerslam is where it's headed. Then Mania for the belt after winning the Rumble. No chance to me that he hasn't already agreed to an extension.
  14. Just catching up on this thread... good stuff. I work in the laboratory supply industry, primarily dealing with municipalities and government agencies. Have had the same girlfriend for 8.5 years. No kids. Just a Portie. Favorite music is hard to pin down, as I am a huge music fan (and record collector). My favorite band ever is Drive-By Truckers. Also very much into the nebulous genre of “alternative country,” bands like Lucero, Whiskeytown (and some of Ryan Adams solo stuff), Uncle Tupelo, Son Volt, Jason Isbell, Sturgill Simpson, etc. Also into stuff like Springsteen, Dylan, The Band, and old classic/honky tonk country. It’s a big passion in general for me. Favorite TV shows: The Wire The Sopranos Survivor (including the international versions like Australia, New Zealand, and South Africa) Breaking Bad Seinfeld Friday Night Lights Twin Peaks The Wonder Years Monty Python Arrested Development Coffee is my vice. Sober for 6.5 years, stopped smoking 5 years ago.
  15. Considering how little discussion of these shows there has been, I take it I took a good week to take a week off from watching?
  16. There still needs to be resolution in regards to the question of where the rooster finishes. I feel it is the driving purpose of the show.
  17. So great. The knee-lift training is one of my favorite things ever.
  18. Bodyslams with the arm of the person taking the slam pinned behind their back. Definitely the torture rack. As far as gutwrenches, they have become pretty popular on the indies with guys like Jeff Cobb, Matt Riddle, and WALTER.
  19. I'm going to need to check those out.

The Mauro Ranallo doc that aired on Showtime on Friday night was quite good. It was the realest depiction I have seen of someone who is living with the bipolar struggle and was just utterly heartbreaking at times and was extremely illuminating to me since I have never witnessed it firsthand. The movie is called “Bipolar Rock ‘N’ Roller.” https://youtu.be/CEgJO-zrtyk
  21. My girlfriend loved Wrestling With Shadows, as well.
