  1. Jim Ross is a Grouchy and Vile Human Being: Take two.
  2. to be fair, that's because most of it was forgettable. The "workrate" company had arguably one of the worst top-to-bottom shows of Mania week. Everyone fell asleep so it was not documented.
  3. I dont know if that many people think he is credible, per se, but see some value in the fact that he does offer something of a first-hand glimpse into how Vince operated. I think its a mix of both. Hes a con man working a gimmick with the goal (since achieved) of getting back in the good graces of the WWE, while also making a sometimes entertaining podcast. I cant comment on the Twitter stuff. Also, take the t out of his name and put one on your back, pal.
  4. I think he means people would have to go on the website to see the results.
  5. I’m interested to see what this match looks like. Looking forward to the card as a whole.
  6. Hell yeah. I have seen all these but the AJPW match. Will need to watch that.
  7. Yeah, I think that’s about it. Chikara is a wrestling company. Sinclair isn’t.
  8. This is why I am a big advocate of the Hulu version. A show has to be REALLY bad for me to hate it. Most times, I am just like “that was fine.”
  9. Hell, even just Worldwide & Pro.

I like Nikki Cross. Interested to see what she does with the Sanity crew being gone.
  12. Somewhere, Kevin Nash feels like an innovator. Thank you for the house, Brother MBS.
  13. Get ready for the Greatest Survivor Series, folks: https://twitter.com/RiyadhReport/status/989909349769334784?s=20 The money faucet is wide open when it comes to Vision 2030.

I’m happy to see Heavy Machinery getting elevated. It seems like Tito and Riddick have split up half a dozen times now.
  15. Judging by Jericho’s physique at the Saudi show, I’d guess we won’t see him again until WWE comes calling again for a couple month run.
  16. Absolutely agreed 100%.I also work long shifts (12-16 hours at times), and I was checking my phone at work throughout the day & night Friday to see some of the feedback. I never had any intention of watching the full show, because priorities. And I don't have that kind of time to devote to wrestling. But I wanted to see what may be worthwhile for future cherry-picking purposes. And yeah. I was blown away by some of the reactions. I get being a bit bothered by it, but come on. I've got no doubt that some folks feel offended, but some of this stuff is just too much. It's an issue in all areas of discussion lately. It's like everyone is just outraged enough to be included in the conversation, but nobody's outraged enough to actually do much of anything. It's all so greatly exaggerated to such a wild degree. SmackDown or NXT could run a hot angle this week, and everyone that expressed such strong outrage will suddenly be back on board with the company - logging into their Network and lining up for tickets to the next Takeover. I mean, you can be offended but still keep it honest and level-headed. None of it bothers me much though, so what do I know? I've stayed away from any political discussion, because that's not why I come here. But I will say this & leave it at that - this isn't a wrestling issue or a WWE policy issue. We live in a world where we collectively set a system in place that values profit over people. We value profit above all else. That is the the break in the system, and it's a universal issue spanning across all borders, all nations, and all currency. As long as that universal truth stands, shit like this will continue to happen. Period. Even if it's not WWE, you can bet someone else would step up to take the money. Bingo.
  17. The Chael/Anderson Silva feud is definitely one of the greatest in UFC history and it only happened because of Chael talking his way into it. You couldn't script that first fight to go any more perfectly than it did. It's also way easier for someone like Conor to do that nowadays than it was back then (as evidenced by him getting the Mayweather fight).
  18. Fedor won by KO in about a minute and a half. Speaking of wrestling, he faces Chael Sonnen next, correct?
  19. I’m just making an assumption here but I don’t think it changed because of reactions, because I don’t think he does care. I think he just cooled off on Roman for the time being. A big part of that whole narrative was that they were going to switch the belt in Saudi Arabia and they didn’t do that, which makes me doubt the whole story. Obviously, it’s a whole different can of worms when you think about the build to Mania and why you would possibly do what they did if the end game wasn’t Roman walking out with the belt.
  20. I’ve never picked up on that trait. To each their own, though.
  21. They definitely did read him back in the day (as did virtually every wrestling fan who was engaged and online during his heyday) and that has been acknowledged at times during the show. It leads to them having some of the standard Meltzer type takes that are also common in podcasts (Kurt Angle being an all-time worker, as an example). I’m not aware of any of the callout stuff as I’m not on Twitter and I also tend to FF through the listener feedback portions of their shows. Nor do I expect them to have great knowledge of the indies since they are essentially just WWF fans who had periods when they were into WCW (though Jack was, I think, watching practically everything back in the MNW era). The action figure shit is obviously done in a self-deprecating way. Anyhow, their long-form shows on topics like Montreal are top shelf. The Mania and Starrcade series with all the Meltzer interviews were also great, IMO. Certainly not for everyone and I get that.
  22. Yeah, I think it was just a case of him being there for the tryout thing. I hope they see something in Dozer because he is the best.
  23. Besides, a cut of that (if he ever sells one) needs to go to Trent since he came up with the name.
  24. Yeah, just terrible. The whole act sucks right now.
  25. He's a month and a half away from breaking CM Punk's mammoth reign. I can see Vince pettily letting Brock beat that before he drops the title It was such a mammoth reign that most people likely forgot it existed, or certainly how long it was.
