Among if not the worst candidate for the HOF. The Godfather was a blip in WWE history let alone wrestling history.

I hope and pray that Ambrose isnt facing Brock at Wrestlemania. Certainly nothing good can come out of it. There's no way Brock should be selling any of that Ambrose offense.

The loss of heels/faces is a bitter pill for old school wrestling fans. I still watch but definitely not with the same enthusiasm or interest that I did in the 80 and 90s. Occasionally something captures my attention like Brock/Undertaker but that becomes more of how are they going book this and follow the story rather than an emotional investment in the match. Wrestling or sports entertainment has become more like the Harlem Globetrotters- an exhibition of skills and tricks with some comedy thrown in. There is a slight difference in that there's never a doubt the Globetrotters are going to win, but it lacks an emotional attachment to the outcome. For example, if this was 30 years ago, Vince probably would have been freaking out because Wrestlemania would have succeeded or failed on the main event and ability to draw the house and pay per view. However, Wrestlemania will sell out without anyone even knowing 1 match on the card.

I just started listening to this on the way home from work and I'm still on the Watts/Madden part. I was have to shake my head when people start talking about freedom of speech and think it means you can say anything without repercussions. Freedom of speech only applies to the Federal and State Governments and its lawmaking abilities (which even has its limitations and exceptions) and not to privately owned businesses. Watts couldn't be arrested for what he said but certainly could have been and was fired for it-agree with that concept or not. I am assuming Watts cowboy attitude was the reason WCW would be run by "non-wrestling" people until its collapse. Bix-where did you get Ole's statement to TBP's attorneys? I'm sure that's an interesting read.

Why is Ambrose even in the same ring as Lesner? He belongs nowhere near the title picture. Speaking of being nowhere near the title picture, how much of the Bellas are we going to be forced to endure? There are so many other deserving female wrestlers who should be getting a non-title win.

After watching the RR last night I started thinking about WCWs failed attempts with Hogan prior to the NWO, right down to returning from injury midmatch to thrash everyone and comparing him to todays Reigns reaction. Granted a difference between stale act and probably what could best be described as indifference but there does seem to be similarities.

I'm not sure why people are getting so judgmental. She obviously needs money, most likely for her legal issues. So she dies a porn and makes some money. She's not married, has no kids and isnt harming anyone. She's not doing mob hits or cheating people out of money. If you don't like her, think she's old fat or ugly don't look at video. If it was 1996 instead of 2016 it would have been the highest grossing porn of all time.

Unfortunately I only have some seconds in the Flair retirement jeopardy angle, Jericho Shawn Michaels feud, Punks run with the title and the Daniel Bryan arc from heel to champ.

1991 Face Greg Valentine vs Rhythm & Blues Greg Valentine
Hegs replied to Judy Bagwell's topic in Pro Wrestling
Greg Valentine should never be a face so I would have to give Boxcar the edge. -
I'm glad I'm not alone in the world on this one.

I just watched Ambrose v Owens and I dont get Ambrose at all. His execution is sloppy, he looks weak and is not a good promo guy. Am I missing something in his performance or character?

When you guys were talking about Hogan cage matches, he did have one with Muraco in the Garden that I'm pretty sure was pre WM2. I think I have it on tape somewhere but it was the classics 3 match Garden formula. It was the chain link type change. I'd have to search through my old recordings to see what the finish was exactly, but it wasn't over the top

I agree with Savage. Hogan left him alone in the ring to take Liz back and cry over her while Savage got beat on. That plus Hogan hogging Savages spotlight and his jealous eyes. Randy was right. I also agree with the Wahoo and Andre heel turns. Both were veterans who helped every babyface but never were rewarded with title shots. They wanted the big win before they're opportunity past them by.

I agree with Humperdink in the WWF as Bigelow s manager. He was like a bad version of the Albano face manager (which although I loved Lou, was not a fan of). I think he diminished Bigelow tremendously.

I dont think we can blame the commentators. They aren't calling wrestling matches, they're infomercial guys for the WWE network, twitter, or pre-network PPVs. Its rare they are talking about what is actually happening in the ring at that moment. That being said, I like JBL on commentary. I enjoy his occassional old-school references he throws out. I also enjoyed Regal at NXT. Although I might get crucified for saying this, I liked Matt Striker as well.

When I was young usually if the tag titles were being defended on TV in a non-squash, it was a pretty good indication the title was changing. If not it was a sign of a major angle coming.

Is there a chance this is still happening?

In my Walmart, they were in a special display at the back of the DVD aisle. Some were picked dry by yesterday but I picked up 8 DVDs. I was a tiny bit bummed out when I saw the WWE Network announcement that I just dropped $40+ dollars on content that will probably be on there.
