  1. I'd agree on the promos being the highlight. I do want to see Jackie Fargo come in and destroy the Dogs (or at least the clip version). One quibble. If the piledriver is such a killer move, how did the Moondog manage to roll over and pin Jarrett so soon even with interference?
  2. The match was really good and I loved Eddie's reaction to the special referee. Good detail work on the holds and Morton is way more versatile than anyone thinks he is. I would like to point out that they are recycling the Flair/Lawler World Title match from the 80s pretty blatantly.
  3. I can't believe they wanted Razor to pay for his food. The nerve of some people.
  4. I loved this compared to the AJW style. Everything had meaning and room to breathe before the next major development came along. Loved the arm work after Oz realized there was no way she was going to beat Kansai at her own game. And Kansai's selling. As a BTW, if a person who knew how to kick did that to somebody on the ground like they meant it it's either the hospital or the morgue. Nasty kicks.
  5. I am loving Sting in this run as champ. He's energetic and fired up! And he seems pretty good at talking in character too. Tell me again why he couldn't cut it as champ?
  6. Slater had some trouble getting his words in order. US Tag Titles are leaving, which makes sense given the lack of focus on the tag division.
  7. I was blown away by that line too, great stuff from Watts. Match was nothing special and I thought they should have dispensed with the resthold stuff and thrown bombs. I did love seeing a heel get called on his shit and made to stand up for it though.
  8. Cactus is really coming into his own as a promo. He has this other-ness to him that works and makes him really stand out.
  9. Horner was better than usual here. Not good, but better. Loved Dutch, what a great heel non-wrestler, immediately switching sides once he knew he might have to fight.
  10. Eddie really kills it as the heel champ. There is not one thing about him that is actually likeable. Morton does a good job of getting the fans behind him without any work in the ring, which is his strong point.
  11. Fans liked it, so it seems like what they should have done. Good enough promo from Lawler, but this whole thing has played itself out.
  12. Fun brawl, but I agree that it is in no way special like the early Moondog stuff was.
  13. Not to nitpick, but Fargo didn't seem to be calling the match down the middle at all. Either way, the Dogs are no longer champs. Jarrett did fine in his portion of this, he gave Jerry the meat of the promo and that works just fine for me.
  14. Gotta love a babyface telling kids to stay OUT of school.
  15. Very effective angle to follow up on the big beatdown of Bossman. I am torn on whether I want to see any matches given the comments.
  16. Good enough match, but I expected more from this matchup. It did seem like Kroffat and Frunas were struggling to adjust.
  17. The first caida had me really hopeful. The crowd was super into it and i was loving it. Didn't mind the second caida, but once Misterioso left it kinda became a one-sided mess that the crowd wasn't going to stand for. Seems like messy booking to me.
  18. I loved Casas' mat counters. Just amazing stuff. Using the sharpshooter to win the first caida after not letting Dandy get the same move earlier was a nice figurative slap in the face. The foul kick was such a brilliant move and used at the exact moment the referee wasn't looking. Loved Dandy's comeback and the roll-up to win caida 2. Dandy coming out with not one but two (take that Casas!) running dropkicks to start Caida 3 was awesome after the way Casas started Caida 2. Pierroth contributed to the match at ringside, bitching and moaning whenever Dandy kicked out. Dandy using the Casita on Casas was an amazing finish.
  19. This was all kinds of awesome. I look at it as two guys who are hard to get along with (and therefore heels) except for the fact that their personalities just happen to line up with each other. The way they did the characterization of Buddy as the womanizer and DWB as the headhunter in school worked really well for both characters. Super fun stuff even if it didn't (awww) go anywhere.
  20. Loved this promo, probably my favorite (and the best) Corny promo I've seen. Definitely a step in the right direction from continually making fun of the audience.
  21. Ronnie Garvin in SMW seems like a great fit. Kind of all over the place, but I know enough about Garvin to be excited to see him. Babyface side needs a heavy in SMW.
  22. Glad the Dogs are back from their vacation. Fargo brought everybody's mood up and he should. He's a legend and always plays well in Memphis. Looking forward to arena clips!
  23. Christopher is downright hateable here. I guess the upshot of him being a dick to eh homeless guy is that he is negating the whole reason for hiring somebody to do that stuff. He is still spending the same amount of time on cleaning as he would otherwise by being such a micromanager.
  24. So the goal of the WWF was to embarrass and bury every act they didn't come up with? They are doing one Hell of a great job with the LOD. But they came up with Crush, so what is the deal there?
  25. Razor promises to scar the souls of all the wrestlers he faces. A little goofy, but I thought he pulled off the general idea of the thing.
