Rowan will likely never be THE guy, but I can easily see him slotting into the Kane spot of big guy who's always around and used to (try to) make people look better. Edit: shoe beat me to it.

Greatest Upsets In Professional Wrestling?

And on Smackdown too, wasn't it? -
Who should have come along at a different time or place?

Would a guy like Meng really have any opportunity to develop that tough guy persona? I don't think current WWE would let things like that happen. -
Vince McMahon on Stone Cold Podcast
Steenalized replied to goodhelmet's topic in Publications and Podcasts
As someone who probably wouldn't have passed a wellness test when wrestling, do you really think Austin was going to go down that road? Nah but I'm not gonna get all misty cuz Randy Savage's name was brought up instead either. i don't think anyone here got misty eyed about Savage but Austin's reaction was priceless. Anyway what else would you have asked him about? I would have asked for a live comment on the accusation that the concussion tests were a joke, that the medical staff is negligent. Not in those words. Gently, but something that would provoke something more human than the cut and paste style response sent to Yahoo. It's wrestling though so yeah, "good facial expressions." I really doubt Vince would ever touch a question on concussions or the medical staff's failures in any meaningful way. It's begging to get used against him later. That should be of no concern to the interviewer. You cant control the answers, but you are in total control of the questions. Except Austin isn't an investigative journalist and he probably wants to have a continuing relationship with McMahon. That includes potential future podcasting and the rest of the interview. Piss him off and ask him questions that he's going to constantly side step on his own network isn't going to do any good. -

Your ideas for heels that would get over today

Given that information, the paychecks alone are reason enough for Cena to never want to turn. -
That match was awesome, Sting's involvement and all. Sting being there felt like a big moment too.

Isn't he supposed to have an ironclad contract? Was that ever resolved? They definitely dropped that defense with the story of him being broke last year.

The booking of the finish was fine, Bray being Bray wasn't.

I was enjoying the match, then the Bray stuff happened, now Ambrose is at least trying to help save this.

I've had a bit of clipping and buffering, but my internet is routinely spotty when all my roommates are home (and they are), so it could just be that. Nothing too bad and the quality has been good. Unlike this match.

Didn't care for the match itself, but at least the crowd was into it and MizDow winning is fun.

If we're going ROH color commentator. I'd much rather have Corino than Nigel.

Just on wrestling I listen to all the PWO-PTBN podcasts, VOW, Wrestling Culture, and the occasional pick from the main stream ones if Joe Gagne's comments on them sound interesting. Aside from that I listen to the Solid Verbal and Shutdown Fullcast every week to get my college football fills, plus a lot of their old episodes to fill the time. I listen to podcasts almost all day. If I'm commuting then they'll definitely be on. About the only time they're not is if I have to concentrate/focus on work.

I'm halfway through the show right now (up to AJ-Yoshitatsu). Not bad but not particularly good thus far. ReDRagon vs. Time Splitters is easily the high light so far though if I were to star rate it I'd say maybe ***, probably less.

Online Wrestling Discussion (Community)
Steenalized replied to BillThompson's topic in Pro Wrestling
The biggest thing is that it's easier to find good discussion now. Like rovert said, social media/twitter plays a big part of that. There are still lots of terrible discussions going on (look at the F4W board and that's not even close to the worst), but I can easily find a place like this with a quick google search that incidentally brings me here. Pretty sure it was googling a wrestler's name that brought me to PWO at first. -
Whose trolling now? Oh come on, I love Sheamus the worker but his backstage fight record reportedly isn't too great.
-
Did you end up beating him up like everyone else?
-
Have you considered that no one has a problem with you not liking Henry/Show at this point, especially given multiple people expressed the same opinion earlier today, but that people didn't care for the way you presented your opinion?
-
I am not trolling and have never trolled on here. The WON board is a notorious trolling board so what a bizarre complaint to level at me. If you're not intentionally trolling then your post above about pretending to like Henry/Show was so negligently bordering on trolling that it really doesn't make a lot of difference. It's pretty clear saying that around here, a place noted for its Henry (and Show) fandom, is going to get a reaction.

The highest praise of that match ranged around "it was good" and "best Raw match of the night," with the latter being pretty faint praise given how much people crapped over the rest of Raw's matches.
