  1. Listening to an ep of Jericho or Austin's podcast should immediately make one realize how awful Ross' podcast is. He shills far too much, and he almost never asks interesting questions. I think I'm done with The Ross Report.

Rusev looks like a pretty terrible worker with no charisma to me, not sure why they're wasting so much time on him.
  3. For me that's one of the few matches I would give 5* to.
  4. Nick Bockwinkel vs. Dory Funk Jr. from Slamboree '93 is a darn good match that should have gotten more love, Kiniski stupidity aside.
  5. Couldn't the argument be made that they're WWF Attitude Era lite? If anything that's the vibe I get from them, and I don't think much of what TNA does reflects what present day WWE is doing.
  6. I've been out of the TNA loop, what happened between her and Aries that would have possibly ended in a lawsuit?
  7. Does Vince own the Stampede Wrestling library?
  8. I wouldn't mind that at all, as I'm in the minority and really don't care much about the streak. However, I hope they din't Eddie/Benoit this with Bryan and get the belt off of him as quick as they can just to give it to a bigger guy.
  9. I'm on shift at the fire house, so if I'm not out on a call I might try to check some. I'm not worrying about the feed too much though, if it works it works, if not I'll just check it out in the Vault sometime later.
  10. I can honestly say that I haven't seen a much ballyhooed match yet that I didn't also really like or love. Maybe the Midnight Express versus Rock 'n' Roll Express from WrestleWar '90 would count. Too much Cornette silliness with the referee for the match to ever really get going. It was okay, but not great like most people seem to think.
  11. The match quality and booking/formatting of their shows is notoriously bad. They do a lot of chest thumping about how well PWS does and I don't doubt it does do well BUT what they never mention that they paper New Jersey like crazy. Pat always mentions that "this Saturday's show will have a GUARANTEED full house." That was a real sore point for Buck, as he kept insisting that he never papers or comps anything, and it's all simple jealousy. I don't know enough about him or the promotion to know which version is true. What I do know is that he comes across like a major jerk in the interview, and having the hosts act like blind parrots for everything he says makes both the promotion and the podcast in question look terrible.
  12. I've never seen a Pro Wrestling Syndicate show, or a Pat Buck match, and hearing him talk like a complete prick for two hours on the Shining Wizards podcast this past week really gives me no incentive to ever change either of those,

Hopefully it comes through, I know I'd be psyched for Memphis on the Network. Adding diverse content is something I believe they need to do, mixing up Mid-South, AWA, WCW, ECW, WWC, NXT, SMW, OVW (if they own that), Crockett, and whatever else they own in the live stream and vaults is the ebst way to keep the Network fresh for a longer period of time.
  14. Cool beans, thanks.
  15. This is for Bix. I listened to you on the Good Will Wrestling ep about the Network today. While I wouldn't say you were pessimistic about the Network, you did mention a few times that you weren't all that optimistic about the Network bringing in big numbers. I know they haven't released the numbers yet, but are you still less than optimistic, or has your view changed at all since the launch?
  16. Has there ever been a topic at these boards where people talked about, or listed, their favorite/best wrestlers of all time?

If Wyatt wins at Mania, I would say they take the long build approach with him going after the title. Let Bryan have a long reign, and come out the victor in a bunch of feuds. Meanwhile have Wyatt do the same thing until finally you reach the point where they are the two guys who have to face each other for the title. I'd love for it to be a Mania to Mania sort of deal, but none of this will ever happen probably.
  18. To piggy back off of what I said earlier, I'm currently listening to your AWA the Best Matches of the 1980s episode, and man, it has me really jazzed to get that set sometime in the future. I have plenty of blind spots in my wrestling canon, and the AWA is one of them. I really dug you guys going in-depth like you did, so great job and all that jazz.
  19. Have to say I've only listened to a few eps, but this is easily one of my favorite wrestling related podcasts.
  20. Stumbled across this quote from Keith today, taken from his Halloween Havoc '90 review, Correct me if I'm wrong, but October of '90 is right in the middle of Luger's best period ever as a worker, right? It's not until late '91-92 when he starts to dovetail off, if I recall correctly. And the Hansen comment is blatant misinformation from someone who barely watches Japan, as if I recall Hansen was still damn great until around the end of '93.
  21. The Network has allowed me to see Oz and the Wizard in all its glory, I'm thankful for that.
  22. I recall him saying that RVD has been signed, and that they are flying him in for the Raw after Mania, but not Mania itself.
  23. I really wish WWE would bring back Halloween Havoc. I know they never will since it was an NWA/WCW event, but it's such a cool name for an event. I at least wish someone would bring back the red ring mat from the 1990 version.

No cable for me anymore, and I'm going to try and make it a point to catch the replays when they show up on the Network.
