  1. Welcome back. Looking forward to the development of this roster.
  2. I can see why the Anvil is so hard to touch... he is in a huge spot here and has a career outside of being the Hart's Rhino. Severn and Maeda... would have loved to see the pre-booking of that one and then how it actually went through. Pillman is as deserving of a champion as anyone... and Black Tiger has cemented his legacy here. Night two has some heavy shoes to fill after this.
  3. MSW - Jumbo... an all timer... perhaps one of the best to ever do it is now one top but at what price... his buddy Dr. Death will find out. Again... love me a tournament and I am pulling for the Birds. We'll see if they can find a way to fly atop of the Mid South again.
  4. I am such a mark for a tournament especially when there are some serious stakes on the line. You have done wonders with the Ragin Bull and he looks to be a guy who could come out of 1988 in a big way. "Adorable" Adrian Adonis w/"Sensational" Sherri Martel & "Nature Boy" Buddy Landel w/JJ Dillon defeat Bruiser Brody & NWA World Heavyweight Champion "Nature Boy" Ric Flair. You now have a legitimate threat to Flair and someone who could take the title from him... not to mention two other feuds ready to be had. Tremendous job booking all of that from one match.
  5. Rage in the cage is something to behold with some big time premiere contests headlined by Dibiase and Borne. These two have some history and are ready to tear each other apart. I like this six-man pairing as well... I feel like Rick Steiner fits better with Duggan and Hercules but no doubt tht Scott is right on the cusp of stardom. Luger...Muta... Vader... Murdoch... woof. I don't know who will walk away if anyone. I think Luger and Muta have super bright futures but Vader won't let it happen at his expense.
  6. Moretti with a victory and perhaps the title shot down the line. A lot of moving pieces here but not surprised to see the cream rise to the top. I think Medusa is in trouble.
  7. That main event had a piece of everything that makes the AWA so prime right now. I've gushed about Tommy Rich so much but damn he's the man right now. The War Games looks awesome. Steamboat and Bad News... that's gonna be huge. The AWA is putting a capper on the summer in a big way!
  8. Yeah - just a special appearance - one night only deal. Thanks!
  9. Is Mr. Wrestling II available for a short stint with Windy City?
  10. Windy City Wrestling #5 - Chicago, IL - UIC Pavilion Jake Roberts defeated Masa Fuchi via the DDT! Kamala w/ Akbar defeated Brad & Bart Batten The Nasty Boys defeated The Renegade Warriors - when Dutch and Jaggers interfered Bill Irwin (acting like a cowboy babyface) defeated Kabuki with a middle rope bulldog! Koko B Ware defeated The Moondog! Sexy Scott Casey defeated Bob Bradley in a Chicago Street Fight! Dan Spivey & Scott Hall vs Butch Reed & The Barbarian -A fun main event with a lot of chaos. The Untouchables try to get involved but are thwarted by Bam Bam and then we see Dick Murdoch come out and nail Butch Reed with a huge right hand leading to a roll up from Scott Hall for the 3-count! Bam Bam Bigelow comes out to call out all the Untouchables and says he is going to go through them all in order to get to Race. Race’s time as Champion is over and it is time for Bam Bam to be the MAN! Jim Garvin & Randy Savage come out together. It is interesting that Liz and Precious are on the opposite ends of the spectrum and they don’t quite rub each other the right way. Savage and Garvin put over their issue with Roberts and Adams and how they will put an end to them in two weeks in Des Moines! The Rockers put over their new attitude and issue with the Rock N Roll Express. They talk about them jumping over them in line for a title shot and how they are using their political stroke to get ahead! The Rock N Roll Express put over their issue with the Rockers and talk about earning everything they’ve ever gotten in their lives. This brings out the Rockers who then have a shoving match until security comes out. It is announced that Morton and Michaels will face off next week here on TV! Chris Adams is out to talk about how Harley Race was the better man last night but it doesn’t mean he always will be. Adams says that his mind has been elsewhere and that is with Randy Savage. In two weeks, in Des Moines, they will put and end to their issue and only one man will be left standing and he won’t be a macho man… he will be a gentleman! The Untouchables finish the show with all the titles but a sour taste in their mouths. Butch Reed gets going by running down Dick Murdoch for interfering in the main event. He says that Murdoch will get what is coming to him! Paul Jones speaks for Barbarian who is welcoming any and all comers for the Street Fight Title! Orton and Slater talk about the tag team scene and how Spivey and Hall may have gotten an upperhand tonight but when the titles are on the line… anything can happen. Race then runs down Bam Bam for trying to be a challenger for the title. He says that Bam Bam hasn’t earned it yet but he will make him pay for his wrongdoings until he does! Windy City Wrestling #6 - Chicago, IL - UIC Pavilion Dutch & Jaggers defeated White Lightning & Black Thunder - The Renegade Warriors came out and caused a DQ with a brawl Bill Irwin (acting like a cowboy babyface) defeated The Conquistador with a middle rope bulldog! Ricky Morton vs Shawn Michaels -A nice little match with both men getting in some shots but both appear to be hurt. Jannetty gets involved outside the ring leading to all four getting in there and throwing hands. Koko B Ware defeated Sato! Randy Savage & Jim Garvin defeated Todd Champion & Curtis Thompson Dick Murdoch vs Dick Slater - A fun brawl with both men getting in some offense. We see Murdoch controlling towards the end but then Butch Reed comes out to cause a distraction which leads to a DQ victory for Murdoch. These guys brawl before we see the Untouchables come out and then here comes Spivey, Hall, & Bam Bam for the save! The Rock N Roll Express come over after their match to let the fans know that the Rockers have stirred up a nest of hornets and it is time to get stung brother! Next week… Robert and Jannetty go one on one in Des Moines and Ricky will be right there to make sure Michaels stays in his place baby! Salty Scott Casey comes over and he cuts an interesting promo about how he is going to be the next Chicago Street Fight Champion. He says he has trained hard and earned his shot! Chris Adams & Jake Roberts cut a promo about next week in Des Moine and how they both get their hands on Savage and Garvin. They hope to put an end to everything and finish this issue once and for all! The Untouchables are out and they put over their issues with Bam Bam, Spivey, & Hall. They also add in Dick Murdoch to the mix after their beatdown of him tonight only to say that in Des Moine… it will be a six-man to get rid of Bam Bam, Spivey, and Hall along with a knock down war to get rid of Murdoch and control their own destiny.
  11. WCPW Presents: Battle in Batavia! August 12 Scott Casey vs Kabuki Stunning Scott Casey gets things going tonight He is out in his jeans and white T as he rips it off ready for a battle Kabuki gives him all her can handle but Casey is fighting with the passion of 1,000 fires The finish sees Casey grab Kabuki with the STAMPEDE off the corner and then powerslam for the 3-count!! The fans are solidly behind Scott Casey right now… how far can he go? Firebreaker & Patriot vs The Nasty Boys The two new masked men come out… wonder who they could be They put up a fun fight for the Nasty Boys but nothing major The finish sees the Nasty Boys take control and not let up The finish sees a Gordbuster from Knobbs and then an elbow from Sags for the 3-count! The Nasty Boys are continuing their climb but can they get back to the promise land? Dick Murdoch vs The Moondog Tricky Dick Murdoch makes his return to Chicago with a nice showcase here The Moondog is able to get some offense in and generate a little bit of heat The headbutt spot that shows the Moondog has the superior head hardiness is a great one The head hardiness doesn’t stop a brainbuster and 3-count from Murdoch though! Dicky is here… one has to wonder what his motives will be. WINDY CITY TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIP Orton & Slater vs the Rock N Roll Express Big time tag team contest here for the titles and the crowd is white hot This one is a 20-minute showdown with both teams showing their strengths Undeniably, the Rock N Roll Express are one of the top teams in the world right now and they showcase why Orton and Slater work so well together and are smooth in their double teaming and blind tags At about the 18-minute mark, we see a stir when the Rockers are shown walking down to the ring The black jeans, black leather coats, (no shirts of course), and dark sunglasses send off an interesting vibe. Around the same time it appears as though Slater and Orton are on the fall and the Rock N Roll are zeroing in on the tag titles We see Ricky and Robert hit a couple of huge double clotheslines and then double dropkicks sending Slater and Orton out of the ring to the floor Here is where it gets interesting… The Rockers are watching… The Rock N Roll express walk out to Slater and Orton and work on getting them back in the ring As they roll in… Paul Jones grabs the attention of the referee On the other side of the ring, the Rockers grab Morton and Gibson and throw them into the ring posts! They hit a double superkick on Robert Gibson and roll him in the ring to Slater and Orton Orton and Slater hit a big spike piledriver for the 3-count Outside the ring, Michaels and Jannetty just beat the living piss out of Ricky Morton and get some juice Morton is bleeding like a stuck pig as the Rockers walk off as cocky as ever The crowd is shocked right now…. The Renegade Warriors vs Sato & Fuchi Good little showcase for the Renegades who take care of Sato and Fuchi with no problem The Japanese contingent get some offense in but nothing too crazy The finish is a double tomahawk chop on Fuchi and then 3-count! Jake Roberts vs Conquistador Jake Roberts is out here to a great ovation He handles the conquistador with little to no issue The DDT spells the end and he works the fans We then see Savage and Garvin come out and they are circling the ring… Finally they pounce and Roberts is having to fight the two of them off at a time but it isn’t working. The crowd pops when Chris Adams come out and serves as backup Adams and Roberts are handling their own here They shake hands but then we see Savage come from behind and CLIP THE KNEE of Adams! Garvin with a nasty shot on Jake who goes out of the ring to the floor Savage then pulls Adams out of the ring and SLAMS his knee into the ringpost! This looks terrible as Savage and Garvin go to the back with a lot of heat right now Adams is in a bad way and he’s still got the title match tonight! GATEWAY CHAMPIONSHIP Koko Ware vs Butch Reed © Another good showing for Koko who just can’t seem to find his rhythm here in Windy City He gives Reed every single ounce of what he can handle but the Natural is just too much We see Paul Jones directing traffic out there and Reed is able to catch a high cross body from Koko and turn it into a nasty hot shot on the top rope! Koko is hurting as Reed goes up top for a big shoulder block and the 3-count! Reed has retained his Gateway Championship once again… who could be his next challenger? {We get set up for the big showdown with Bam Bam and Kamala… the crowd is stirring as Bam Bam is in the ring waiting… then we see Kamala walk out with Akbar… just then Paul Jones walks out… he hands something to Akbar and the crowd is wondering what’s going on… Akbar then pulls Kamala back… they go into the backstage as Jones is laughing and pointing at Bam Bam… wait just a second… from behind… THE BARBARIAN!!!} WINDY CITY STREET FIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Bam Bam Bigelow v The Barbarian w/ Paul Jones Barb attacks Bam Bam from behind and the crowd is going nuts Paul Jones goes on to announce that he bought the title shot for Barbarian! Barbarian is hammering down on Bigelow and then throws him outside the ring Barb grabs a chair and just destroys Bigelow’s back! Barb then throws him into the guardrail! Bigelow is in a bad way as Jones grabs a trash can from the ringside area and gives it to Barb… he comes to nail Bigelow but Bam Bam kicks him in the gut! Bigelow grabs the trash can and CRACKS Barb right in the skull! The crowd is going wild as Bigelow throws him into the ring post! Bam Bam then looks at Jones and comes after him Barbarian comes back again and now he and Bigelow are throwing some major bombs in the aisleway! They are fighting towards the back and then… out of the shadows… its Reed, Slater, and Orton! They come out and it is a 4 on 1 on Bigelow They drag him back in the middle of the ring and hit a SPIKE PILEDRIVER! Reed picks him up and SHOULDER BREAKER! Barbarian goes up top… DIVING HEADBUTT! The referee… reluctantly…1……2……3! We have a NEW Windy City Street Fight Champion! {Jones and the Untouchables seemed to have added a new member and a new title. This is outrageous. The crowd is throwing some major debris at these guys as they soak it in and go to the back….} TEXAS TORNADO MATCH Scott Hall & Dan Spivey vs The Samoan Savages Well Akbar wasn’t able to buy his way out of this one tonight Hall and Spivey have got some serious firepower and with all four men in the ring it is all chaos The Savages have really always been on the brink and at one point it was thought they’d take the next step but tonight Hall and Spivey are stopping any momentum they have had These four brawl for about 13-minutes The Savages get some heat on Hall only for Spivey to come back in a big way The finish is pretty nasty… we see some big boots and clotheslines Then Tonga gets tossed into the turnbuckle… Spivey picks up Tama and hoists him up over his shoulders and runs to throw him over the top rope to the floor! Hall and Spivey double powerbomb Tonga for the huge spot 1…..2….3! Hall and Spivey are the winners and I don’t know if the Savages will be able to recover! WINDY CITY HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP Chris Adams vs Harley Race © It is time for the main event and boy o boy do we have one The crowd is solidly behind Adams and they are even doing a “Let’s Go UK” chant! If Harley Race had one more classic encounter in him… it was tonight He and Adams go 23-minutes and you can tell that Race is on his last legs Adams has the youth and experience to keep the match interesting and these all pros slow it down when it needs to and pick it up when they need to Race gets an elongated heat segment on the knee of Adams which was torn apart earlier by Savage The fans are just about to give out hope when Adams comes back with the passion of 1,000 fires. He is firing back with rights… lefts… and then a nasty back elbow! Adams is SO FIRED UP… he sets up and Race gets up and Adams with a SUPERKICK but Race ducks and nails a LARIAT! Both men go down and fight their way back up and Race with a running high knee! He picks up Adams and goes for the piledriver but Adams tosses him over his back Race is slow to get back up and SUPERKICK OUT OF NOWHERE! 1……2…..FOOT ON THE ROPE! The crowd can’t believe it… Adams was that close They both slowly wipe the sweat from their eyes… Adams goes for another superkick but Race moves out of the way…. Race hits the ropes and comes with a nasty HIGH KNEE 1…..2….KICK OUT! Adams pulls it out one more time… Savage is coming out… wait a minute…. Race comves for a big lariat but Adams ducks and goes for a huge forearm but Race ducks and nails a nasty back suplex into a pin for the 1…2….3!!! A little controversy here… looks like Adams may have gotten his arm up The referee is consulting with Joe Pedicino and Mike McGuirk… Mike McGuirk then makes the announcement… the winner… and STILL Windy City Champion… Harley Race! The crowd isn’t happy as Adams gets up… wait a minute… Savage then nails Adams and throws him out of the ring to the floor! Savage grabs Adams and throws him over the guardrail as security is holding him back… Race is standing in the ring with the title… wait a minute… oh my…. It is BAM BAM BIGELOW! He comes out with his forehead tapped up from earlier… Bigelow comes from behind of Race… turns him around and three big right hands before a clothesline sends him out of the ring to the floor! The crowd is going wild for Bam Bam who stands tall… perhaps busted up… definitely bruised… but not broken!
  12. Anytime pop culture enters into the fantasy wrestling world... especially the office I am going to pop. Vader and Luger was always something I wanted to see... I felt like it was a great missed opportunity in the fortune of timing. I really appreciate the work going into getting this being your promotion and defining its own identity. Looking forward to the coming weeks.
  13. Anytime Rick Steiner can show his superior Steiner power... I am game. I am also big on Tully here... his success in the NWA was immeasurable and perhaps he can top those same heights here. Jake Brigance... interesting choice... love Time to Kill... it would be great to see it highlighted by Williams and Koloff.
  14. You've got some of my faves here and you put them in good spots. Keep the Gang being the 100% baddest dude on the block. I love how the Harts are teaming with Pillman. We also get Hennig and Bock coming again... perhaps it is time for Hennig to shine on the brightest stage of them all.
  15. NWA Tv... when anything can happen! Each match is moving someone up or something forward. Dundee steps back into the fold with a shot at the TV title next week. Big world title contender battle royal coming up. I think the thing that always intrigues me about your promotion is that there is a next step and you continue to move us in that direction.
  16. As others have said... great card... Medusa is on top for just cause and I am hopeful to see her success continue. Misty with a good showing... Richter is still a force... Also... don't count out Velvet... I have a sneaking suspicion about her.
  17. AWA is the major league of professional wrestling... but I am in now way a fan of Al Perez... plus he is the cause of an unjust Tommy Rich loss... my stomach turns for the rematch and vengeance. I like Zenk and Taylor in a long contest... to me... they were made for this... and you caw glimpses of it in 1990/1991 wcw tv. Great use of them here... it gives their value something when they can put on great matches on television for so many to see.
  18. Windy City puts Kamala, Abdullah, Khan, and Kabuki on the block. These monsters need new homes.
  19. Windy City Wrestling #3 -Schaumburg, IL Taped: 7/30 NO DISQUALIFICATION Blackjack Mulligan vs Kamala A knock down drag out brawl to finish off the issue between these two men Kamala is able to draw some blood early which kind of scares the fans who are so close to ringside Mulligan looks to go through the motions for all intents and purposes with little to no offense The finish sees Kamala with a powerslam on the concrete floor A big splash for the 3-count Kamala puts an end to this issue but who will be next on his list? Jake Roberts defeated The Moondog Kabuki & Khan defeated Brad & Bart Batten Koko B Ware defeated Sato The Rock N Roll Express defeated The Rock N Roll RPMs The Nasty Boys defeated Tracey Smothers & Steve Armstrong Bam Bam Bigelow vs Bob Orton Jr w/ Paul Jones A really good main event and reminder that Bam Bam is more than just a street fighter Orton Jr gives him everything he’s got in his tank but Bam Bam just jacked and ready He is able to get some big time bumps out of Orton Orton gets some heat with the help of Paul Jones The finish sees Orton go for a suplex but Bam Bam jumps over the back and then picks him up for a huge back body drop and a quick 1…2…3! Bam Bam gets his first win over the Untouchables but you know he wats more! Other News: Randy Savage is with Elizabeth and he is running down Chris Adams something awful. He is so upset that Adams is getting the title shot and Savage says that there will be some revenge for this miscarrage of justice! Dan Spivey & Scott Hall cut a promo on the Samoan Savages saying that in Batavia Illinois in two weeks - it is going to be Texas Tornado Rules and only one team will survive! Jimmy Garvin comes out with Precious and puts over his recent win streak and says that he is sick and tired of guys like Jake Roberts coming out here and running his mouth. He has tried to DDT him one too many times and in Batavia… he is the one who is going to put Jake Roberts to sleep! We hear from the Untouchables… Butch Reed says that he is never going to let the Gateway title go and in Batavia - he is going to be standing tall over Koko B Ware with a vengeance! Orton and Slater put over the big tag title match they’ll have in Batavia against none other than the Rock N Roll Express! Then we hear from Harley Race who runs down Chris Adams and says that his mind has been elsewhere for too long and he is going to set him straight in the middle of the ring! Windy City Wrestling #4 - Schaumburg, IL Taped 7/30 Mike Rotundo vs Randy Savage w/ Elizabeth Rotundo is out here once again to make the other man look good and he does The nice part is that Savage does his part too and really pushes Rotundo Savage is oozing heat right now after yelling at Elizabeth to open the ropes for him at the beginning of the match and the fans aren’t letting up Rotundo falls prey to a very low gut shot from Savage which leads to a nasty piledriver The top rope elbow is all she wrote for the 3-count! Savage is soaking it all in as he lets the world know he should be the one in the title match in Batavia! Butch Reed defeated Bob Bradley Dutch & Jaggers defeated The Renegade Warriors Stunning Scott Casey defeated Masa Fuchi The Samoan Savages defeated Curtis Thompson & Todd Champion Chris Adams vs Dick Slater w/ Paul Jones Chris Adams is making his claim here tonight to be the real number one contender Slater is giving him the business and working him over something good Adams sells so well right now and it really adds to the aura of Slater and the help of Jones outside Adams has to keep fighting back with everything he’s got as Slater continues to pound away The finish sees Slater go for a piledriver but Adams is able to toss him over his back Slater gets up to his feet and here comes Adams with a SUPERKICK! 1….2…..3!!! Adams has won it… just like that… could that be the future for Harley Race?!?! Other News: Chris Adams is out and he’s putting over his issue with Randy Savage but also his huge title match opportunity against Harley Race in Batavia. Adams says he’s been waiting for a moment like this for a long time… he won’t waste the opportunity! Skandar Akbar is with Kamala and the Samoan Savages. He announces that they have rid Windy City of Blackjack Mulligan and then it will be time to rid Windy City of Dan Spivey… Scott Hall… and BAM BAM BIGELOW! That’s right… in Batavia… Kamala has got a chance at the Chicago Street Fight Championship and he is going to put an end to Bam Bam once and for all and get paid well by Harley Race and the Untouchables The Rockers come out and needless to say they don’t seem to be in a good mood. They talk about still being the number one team in wrestling and deserving the title shot. They wonder how the rock N Roll Express got their chance and want some answers! The Untouchables come out and put over their big matches in Batavia. Reed says that Koko is going to find the Gateway to darkness when Reed is done with him. Orton and Slater plan to put an end to Rock N Roll once and for all! Harley Race says he won’t be a gentlemen when he faces Adams!
  20. Man - I wish I had the drive that you do with the NWA here. It is top to bottom a complete promotion. Arn vs Flair is always an interesting concept. I am also a huge fan of the six-man titles. They could always be used in a good way just no one ever seemed to understand how to do it.
  21. I love the dynamic of PCW. I do feel that you beat to the tune of your own drum and that's what makes these shows special for all of us. I like seeing Jim Neidhart on the other side of the Harts as I always thought he had a little more in the tank than given. I am also big on Nicky B carrying the torch and giving these youngsters steps in the ring directions.
  22. I like the way you've rebranded this promotion and put some people in spots that they would had been in years ago but also make the promotion relevant in the current 1987. The JYD/Ladd dynamic is something to watch for. I also love the way you've been writing some of these promos... some really good lines. I am huge on Rick Steiner - I feel like he's poised for a huge second half of 87 and an enormous 88!
  23. My girl Lisa - she is next in line and I'll be there ringside to see it... or host it at Windy City! On the other end... Medusa... winning everything... the titles have all build to this moment for her. I picture an Ultimo Dragon esq image with the titles... I remember when he debuted... with the titles... it meant something to me then and this means something special now.
  24. I like the authority of Watts - a lot of people say Vince started something in he 90s but we all know that Watts was doing that Authority angle back in the 70s/80s. I hated to see Woman and Luger end... I always thought Lex could have used a woman but it looks like he has bigger things down the line. When I look at the big card coming up, I think this is going to be Luger's chance to explode but also show his value in comparison to Dibiase. There's a lot on the line here.
