Where did I say I would only grade people who speak the language I do? Because I view promos as important? Is that the same thing. I do think there is definitely a piece of this puzzle that has how someone acts or plays their role. You could even put selling into this criteria. I'm interested to see how your conclusions have been drawn from my words because I am not seeing the same thing. I wanted to reach out and try to be a part of this and you've already pushed me away. Now I have to keep to myself so I don't get trolled for having a different idea and trying to build on the knowledge I already have but also learning new things. Thanks bud.
-
But if that's all I know at this point that would give me the opportunity to reach out and try and learn other things. If you have a more specific criteria that I should follow let me know so I can do what I am supposed to... do you see the problem there? One ballot won't make the case for anyone but the fact that the things I view as important have already been degraded what am I supposed to do from here?
-
True - but its wrong for me to have that as part of my own personal reasons that I view someone as the greatest of all time? The drawing one is probably going to be cut.. but I do think that the promo is something that is essential to greatness although it would be hard for me to judge that with wrestlers from other countries.

1981 Project - The Big Boom! Chatter and Discussion
LowBlowPodcast replied to LowBlowPodcast's topic in 1981
Tomorrow is the day.... who has stuff typed up yet? I will be honest... I may have been too excited about this and typed out three weeks worth of tv and house shows... this era and these rosters got me pretty pumped for all the things that could happen. I will say... I do think we have space for one more person if someone was interested. I know I could easily give up 5-8 guys including some stars to get someone going. If anyone knows of someone or if anyone out there would like to get going on the ground floor... there's plenty of wealth to share and a lot of good opportunities to be had if you're interested. -

NWA By-Laws 1.0 - When an NWA Champion loses the title - that talent will go to the promotion in a "trade" and the new champion will then become a "freelance" talent who will use that home promotion as his base but be able to be booked out to other promotions via the "special attractions booking" 1.1 - When the new champion is crowned and utlized from the home territory - it will not count as part of the 50 roster cap. 1.2 - When the new champion loses his title, he will then return to his home base promotion. (Owner will need to keep the 50 cap)

-As April approaches, Jim Crockett Jr. has been said to spend quite a bit of money in recent weeks to sign some top tier talent throughout the country and the biggest talent coming from the state of Texas. The biggest names being Kerry, David, and Kevin Von Erich from World Class Wrestling. They have signed on in a handshake deal with MACW but many feel as though it is all a coup by Fritz Von Erich who is hoping to utilize this as a way for his sons to become contenders and possible NWA champion at some point down the line. The Von Erichs will still work Texas on Wednesdays, Fridays @ the Sportatorium, and then Saturday Nights after the television tapings. -Southwest Wrestling lost Gino Hernandez and Tully Blanchard to MACW and plan to be there full time. Both young talents are said to be high on the card in Crockett's eyes but Gino will also be a loss on Friday Nights when he travels back to Houston to work for Paul Boesch. - The loop for MACW will flow over three weeks and the towns will be hit once in a cycle with television tapings from Raleigh every Saturday morning to air on Saturday nights. -NWA Champion Harley Race is set to come into the territory and defend the World Title against top competitors such as Roddy Piper, Ric Flair, Greg Valentine, and Wahoo McDaniel. Ricky Steamboat is also highly regarded as a top contender for the title and looks to challenge him as well. - NWA World Tag Team Champions Paul Jones and Masked Superstar will also be making the rounds throughout the territory challenging top teams. - The MACW tag team and television titles will are currently vacant and will be decided in coming weeks.

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the year 1981. The NWA was still working in many areas in the country. Some of the top stars in the business were just beginning to make their mark throughout the country. There are some promotions who have settled in with some great stars who are continuing to build their reputation on a regional level. Television isn't anywhere near a national level and stars who are big in one area may be completely unknown in another. Wrestlers sometimes work for two promotions to make ends meat but usually call one their home. There are special attractions like Dusty Rhodes, Andre the Giant, Abdullah the Butcher, The Sheik, and three young guys from Texas named David, Kerry, and Kevin Von Erich. The NWA World Champion Harley Race is making the rounds defending his title along with the tag team champions Paul Jones and the Masked Superstar. They will come and go as long as they are champions but those titles can be hot commodities and who knows who will be next in line for the titles. These are the days before Starrcade and WrestleMania. The live events that happen night in and night out along with the big shows throughout the country are the main way for people to see these top stars. Some promotions have a stronghold on live events while others focus on television to move their product. The time is now and the future of these stars is in your hands... welcome ladies and gentlemen to the Big Boom of pro wrestling... who will reign supreme?

3 Way Dance - 1981 plus more if interested....
LowBlowPodcast replied to LowBlowPodcast's topic in Armchair Booking
Here is an idea of what the rosters would look like for the big three. I would say that Mid South & Georgia would also have pretty strong starting 15 with the rest draft able. I looked into World Class but outside of the Von Erichs and Kabuki, their 15 wouldn't be too strong but then again, the draft could completely change that landscape. If another NWA promotion wanted to join - I would then free up Harley, Paul Jones, & Masked Superstar to make them special attractions as the champions and replace them with other MACW mainstays. -
Myself and @SirEdger are going to fine tune the 1981 project and looking for a 3rd and/or possibly 4th member to do some fantasy booking starting in the year 1981. I have already gone through and put together 3-15 man rosters from that time period for the WWF, AWA, and MACW. I'd be open to looking at a promotion like Georgia, Florida, Mid South, or World Class if someone was interested. You'd take the 15 people who are already in your crew and then draft out the rest of the roster to 40. We'd then open free agency so if you really wanted you could have 50 but that is for each person's choice. Once the draft is complete, trades can be made and everyone will be available who was active during this time in wrestling. We'd be looking for someone who would like to write a weekly/bi weekly tv show and/or focus on house shows (as they did in that time). We've generally had a great time with these projects and love to write and give feedback. Let me know if you have more questions or interest!
