  1. WWE is promoting the SI story in their twitter feed, so it's probably safe to assume that until proven otherwise, "Executive Director" is just another name for "Commissioner" or "General Manager".
  2. No one comes off looking great in this, or in pretty much any twitter feud. Especially Dave, who chimed in for no apparent reason other than to settle a year-old score that everyone except him forgot about.
  3. Yeah, it shouldn't be a surprise this is good. But TV has been so bad for the last couple of months and the headlining feuds are so unappealing I can't blame anyone for skipping this show.
  4. I hate the constant camera-switching as much as anyone but it's necessary to cover for Shane's coast-to-coast dropkick. When you're pushing 50, it's no shame to retire some stuff you can't do any more. Another good match, and they had the crowd really into it by the end.
  5. It was good, if you can overlook the crowd reactions - Bryan just isn't going to be a heel in Tacoma and Heavy Machinery aren't good enough (or the agents aren't willing) to switch roles and go with the crowd.
  6. Otis does a capture suplex! Somewhere in Japan, Akira Maeda is smiling...
  7. Bryan likes a challenge - let's see him try to get this crowd to turn on him.
  8. A slow start and some awkward spots for Riochet/Joe, but it turned out really good. Nice moment for Ricochet. Fun show so far! Hopefully they can keep it up.
  9. That was a very good tag match. Hopefully they'll leave Owens/Zayn as a tag team, that may freshen things up a bit.
  10. "Great Balls of Fire" was a fine PPV name, certainly no worse than most of the others. I don't quite get "Stomping Grounds", though. What few fans they do have tonight are making plenty of noise. Good crowd so far.

    WWE Hidden Gems

Interesting - the full version of Fantastics/Sheepherders drops two days after Bryan namedrops the Sheepherders on Smackdown.
  12. Why we love Bryan: after Saxton brings up the Bushwhackers in relation to Heavy Machinery, Bryan says to look up the Sheepherders on the network instead.
  13. LOL, Bayley loses in San Jose again. Can't even give her a win in a meaningless tag match. It's not going to mean a thing long term of course but WWE is gonna WWE.
  14. The Onion isn't what it used to be, but they hit a home run this afternoon: Saudi Arabia Feeling Skittish About Doing Business With Autocratic Tyrant Vince McMahon
  15. Also because pro wrestling has a very long history of carnies soaking a rich fan who wants to be involved in the business. Like I said above, his early results seem very positive, but it's certainly fair to be skeptical - I'm sure every money mark in the last 25 years or so has subscribed to the Observer for years and could be described as a passionate fan, just like Khan has.
  16. Man, Brock really fucked Seth up with that chair. Don't know why he wouldn't just cash in there, but whatever. The opening six-man was really good.
  17. He seems like a smart guy, and AEW's early business moves seem to be pretty good, but his billionaire father owns those teams. And it's not like either of those teams are setting the world on fire.
  18. Just like their last match, this isn't doing it for me. But the crowd loves it, and Twitter seems impressed, so what the hell do I know?
  19. Good on Nigel for calling out Io's poor sportsmanship.
  20. So short haired-Tyler Breeze looks like a better-looking version of Christian. Finish was clever, but the match didn't quite do it for me. Dream's work still looks awkward, which really showed during the reversal sequence they tried.
  21. NXT needs to give these dudes a remedial course in dive-catching. There were two in a row where the diver landed flat on his back.
  22. I'm no fan of Mauro either, but we should at least give him credit for his stamina. Michael Cole blew his voice out during WrestleMania and he doesn't do a third of the screaming Mauro does.
  23. Man, when they set up that stereo German suplexes with those guys' heads in the ladder I was worried. Is the NHTSA the weirdest title sponsor of a WWE show?
  24. I'm easy, but I got a giggle from Shawn and Road Dogg putting on their readers to see each other's HOF rings.
  25. Okay, but my point is that I can't imagine that doing a podcast like this this helps her. Not to say that Renee needs his help - she was great at the talking-head thing before they moved her to commentary and she'd be scooped up pretty quickly when/if she leaves.
