  1. I know it can look cartoony at times, but it'd be nice to see someone pull off an airplane spin. It seems like it's been replaced by the giant swing (which, to be fair, does make more of an impact). Also, I dont know the name of it, but Randy Savage used to have a spot where he'd grab a wrestler and jump out of the ring, dropping his opponent's neck on the top rope. I always thought that was a cool move that someone else should use (and if the wrestler uses a top rope move as a finisher, a good transition to the finisher). And finally, i'd like to see one of the larger wrestlers just do a simple big splash, the last guy I know who did that was Mabel/Viscera/Big Daddy V.
  2. According to reports they have tried to spike their subscription numbers quite a lot offering similar deals. I never get why people unsubscribe I then sure if you hate modern day WWE they always have a ton of classic footage worth watching. It's not just be due to disliking the product, as they may unsubscribe due to financial reasons or just not having enough time to watch the content.
  3. It's pretty interesting to look at how the landscape had changed in just a few years in the early 90s, and how Beefcake's career would have been pretty much done by the 90s if we imagine he wasn't a bosom buddy of Hogan. Where would he have gone post-WWF? I can imagine him having some value to the AWA or World Class or wherever a couple of years earlier, but by 93/94 if he'd not gone to WCW? I can't see ECW wanting him, Smoky doesn't seem like a good fit, and I doubt Japan would have been clamouring for him outside of maybe a tour as somebody's tag team partner or something. I don't really seem him going to AAA to work with Konnan a'la Jake Roberts either, so you're looking at Herb's UWF tapings, *maybe* late era Global tapings (but probably not since they were down to just locals), and going around the horn with Hercules on NWA anniversary shows, NWF-level indies, NWA anniversary shows, and stuff like those WWS tours or Germany or Australia or wherever. Which is funny to think about really, because he might not have made as much money as working for WCW, but he probably wouldn't have as bad a reputation as he does these days since he wouldn't have been stinking up the ring on national TV far past his prime. Beefcake could have worked in the early days of ECW (the 1993-94 period, where they had guys like Snuka, Santana, and Mr. Hughes), but by the time they get "extreme", he'd be gone. I could see him working in Memphis too, the whole haircut schtick would get over there.
  4. Has anyone noticed that the recently uploaded shows (I dont just mean the PPVs, but the vault stuff like Heat and WCWSN) dont have chapter stops? I wonder why, especially since it helps if you're looking for a specific match.
  5. I was watching Ernest Goes to School (the Ernest films are guilty pleasures of mine) on the Roku Channel, and Ernest points out he had seen every Wrestlemania since Warrior beat Hogan (the film came out in 1995, so that would mean 6-11). Kind of odd for a film to make such a specific reference, and an Ernest film at that.
  6. I remember a match where Terry Funk kept referring to Z-Man as "Zeman", causing Chris Cruise to repeatedly correct him.
  7. The Wrestling Collector's youtube channel is apparently back online.
  8. All i've got are the two wrestling albums, WWF The music 3 & 4, and Forceable Entry. I did download selected tracks from Full Metal (Thorn in your Eye, We're All Together Now, Sexy Boy, and the digital "bonus track", Broken Dreams). Did anyone ever have those theme music tapes the wwf fan club put out back in the day? I used to consider joining up just for those tapes.
  9. So Jericho (born in New York) isnt really Canadian?
  10. It's starting with 1992. Shame as I'm a big fan of WCW 1990-91 and I was looking forward to those episodes.
  11. Just came up with some good ideas today to resurrect this thread: Rick Rude or Terry Funk (on a side note, i'm kind of surprised they never faced each other)? Alastair Black or James Storm? Kurt Angle or Ted Dibiase? Owen Hart or Genricho Tenryu?
  12. Much like Sunday Night Heat did. Great when it started up till Mania 15 then just no angles happened on the show. I think Heat had some KOTR qualifying matches in 1999 and 2000, but yeah, the show basically became filler. OTOH, I was a big fan of the "b-team" shows like Jakked and Worldwide, so I still watched Heat pretty loyally.
  13. Has Dunn ever appeared on tv? Even for documentaries?
  14. I suppose Jericho will be inducting him (he was legit friends with Rock, and it does make sense).
  15. Maybe they're saving it for an Undertaker unreleased set?
  16. Sadly, Buckshot LeFongue (who had lots of full episodes of shows) has gotten suspended from youtube (though he was pushing his luck anyway by posting recent sporting events mixed in with the wrestling shows).
  17. Confused about World Tour 1992 advertising a High Energy/Beverly Brothers match. I've seen that video and such a match doesnt exist on it (unless it's a different version of the video).
  18. At least 10 of the upcoming Videos have been revealed: http://www.wwe.com/wwe-network-2018-collections Looks kinda "eh", though Invasion of the Bodyslammers does have a Flair vs Perfect dark match that should be ok, and I liked Brains Behind the Brawn as a kid for some reason.
  19. I dont have HBO so hopefully this winds up on dvd or the network.
  20. I like how there are "jbl" speakers. Of course, this isnt the first time Toyota and the WWF/E have met:
  21. JRH

    WWE TLC 2017

I will say this about the show, it was refreshing having a show where most of the faces won (the only heel victories were Alexa and Enzo), considering how most shows lately have had heels dominating.
  22. Kurt Angle or Johnny B Badd? Rick Steiner or Chavo Guerrero Jr? Jeff Hardy or Kerry Von Erich? Rick Rude or Samoa Joe?
  23. On a happier note, maybe this means we'll see the entirety of WCCW uploaded (maybe they'll even add some more USWA Texas while they're at it).
  24. The Savage set will likely have the Savage/Taker match.
  25. He never really cared much for the shots taken at the WWF either. I was watching the Alundra Blayze doc last night, and when they played the scene of her dropping the WWF Women's belt into the trashcan, Heenan has a look of shock at first, but it later goes into more of a look of "why are we even doing this?". Heenan also pointed out in his book that the Billionaire Ted skits helped WCW win the ratings (since it reminded fans where Hogan and Savage were), so he wasnt a fan of either side doing this.
