    WWE acquires WWC library

Yeah, now that I think about it, this will be so they can have stuff like Savage vs Ayala, Flair vs Jovica, etc.
  2. https://www.pwinsider.com/ViewArticle.php?id=121569 Interesting. If they put the tv shows on the network, I wonder if they'll keep the original spanish commentary.
  3. So I wonder which one (Rey, Miz, Jeff Hardy, Randy Orton) will be going to Raw? Orton looks like the most likely candidate, though I could see them sending Jeff or Rey just to give Ziggler something to do while Drew feuds with Braun.
  4. tnabound2009 has a lot of the same stuff, but sadly is limited only to late 80s/early 90s WWF and WCW footage (none of the territory stuff or even AWA stuff like RR had). Still, some interesting oddities like LOD vs Nasty Boys on Arsenio Hall. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCGElnjKEmzPdAJaO03d8aJQ And has anyone mentioned popculturestu? Lots of 90s Memphis, including most of the complete Moondogs vs Lawler/Jarrett feud and the WWF invasion: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCWLytROVOzzQoP3uZPJiDAQ
  5. Sting vs Meng from Great American Bash is worth a watch. Sting sells well for Meng and makes him look like a threat before making some great comebacks. Sting even wins with a jumping DDT (Never seen him win a match with that move outside of this one) Probably Meng's first good WCW match, and an underrated match for Sting.
  6. So we could be seeing a tiered pricing format in the future: https://lordsofpain.net/a-4-tier-option-for-the-wwe-network-is-being-considered/
  7. So the next content drop is apparently going to be 2012-14 episodes of Main Event. From what I've heard, there were really good matches on that show in it's first weeks.
  8. Some more: Tully Blanchard Owen Hart Harley Race Greg Valentine Ultimate Warrior X-Pac (under any gimmick name)
  9. Might as well add some more: Ray Traylor (under any gimmick) Undertaker Ted Dibiase Dustin Rhodes Kerry Von Erich Chris Jericho
  10. I decided this would be an interesting topic. I picked a handful of random wrestlers, what would you say their best year was, and why? Heres the list: Rick Rude Hulk Hogan Jake Roberts Stan Hansen Rey Mysterio Jr. Scott Steiner
  11. So has anyone picked up the History of Nitro book (simply titled "Nitro") by Guy Evans? I just bought it and while I havent gotten around to reading it yet, the reviews I saw were incredibly glowing and described just how much depth the book goes into.
  12. The only non-ppv JCP tape I have is USA All Star Wrestling Volume 1, which is basically a collection of squash matches (with a few mid-card "feature matches") from Worldwide. The tape starts promisingly with a wild 6 man bunkhouse match with Dusty Rhodes, Dick Slater, and Ricky Steamboat vs Black Bart, Tully Blanchard, and Ron Bass, but they only show the first half and never show the ending, i've tried to look up the full match on youtube, but no dice.
  13. Another Coliseum Video was unexpectedly added to the network today, the UK exclusive Davey Boy Smith video from 1992 (oddly listed as being released in October 1993, which we all know is untrue).
  14. One-legged tights (ie, zack ryder's tights in WWECW).
  15. It would have been better if the Vaudevillains had wrestled in an old school style, and by old school, i'm talking 20s-30s, but I cant see that getting over with the majority of fans.
  16. As great a team as Seven and Bate are, "Moustache Mountain" has got to be the absolute worst tag team name ever.
  17. Legends is a decent little look at the pre-Hogan era. Nothing really unknown, but good mini-bios of most of the guys from that era.
  18. The Randy Savage one is very good, as are the more recent Bruno and Hardys specials.
  19. I was kind of shocked when I found out Mike Rotundo was still with the WWF in early 87, he even had a match with Spivey against Demolition. Speaking of Rotundo, specifically his wcw run as VK Wallstreet, I was also shocked when I saw him on a random weekend show around the summer of 97. What's odd is that the announcers made no indication that he was with the NWO, and he didnt even wear an NWO shirt, instead an anti-WCW shirt, which they also made no reference to.
  20. Didnt Ivory stay with the WWE until 2005 at least?
  21. I was convinced Haku left after WM7, but he was still around as a JTTS throughout 1991 and even appeared in the 92 Rumble.
  22. The Jesse/Vince commentary was always a nice treat for me as well, since I didnt get Superstars in my area until 1993 (just Challenge), so I always associated Jesse/Vince with SNME exclusively.
  23. Ironically, my favorite section in wrestling magazines were the results sections. Even though they were out of date, it was interesting looking through them, especially if there were any oddball matchups listed and what house show only feuds were happening (of course, now we have Graham's site and various other results pages for that, but back in the day it was the only way to find out what programs were going on).
  24. The "wrestling is family-friendly" line is weird coming from FOX, a network that never really had "family-friendly" programming.
  25. 1996-97 WWF is full of this. Of course, you had the aforementioned Bushwhackers, but you also had Duke Droese (left in late summer 96), Barry Horowitz (left soon after WM13), Aldo Montoya (left that spring), and if you want to count non-wrestlers, Bob Backlund was still managing the Sultan as late as WM13 (and I think Iron Shiek lasted into December of 97). Same with WCW from that era, didnt Bunkhouse Buck, Craig Pittman, Greg Valentine, and Dick Slater last into 1998?
