  1. Checked out the results and saw ANX went over in the opener. Over the forever super-over Briscoes and the hottest tag team of the past 3-4 years. Yes, TFC, NXT really is that good. It's not even that it's WWE-backed or the roster, necessarily, but ROH has made it a habit to shoot themselves in the foot ever since the days of HD Net.
  2. Better. He took off the top part and it became the trunks he's worn for the rest of his career, which are just fine.
  3. I actually prefer the full body suit on Savage. It was so over the top and more than a little ridiculous, but it fit him. CW Anderson had a terrible singlet, with the hands forming the "CW" letters. It's one thing to start out and have cheap looking gear but it's another thing to keep it around after you start making a name for yourself. Not necessarily on topic, but I have a gripe with anybody that doesn't wear knee pads and/or wrist tape.
  4. Ditto in TNA when Hogan/Bischoff came in. Sting was distrustful of the two guys who tried to burn his house down and he was supposed to be the bad guy for it.
  5. All of them, bro. All of them. re: reverse battle royal I'm definitely in the minority here, but this was far from the worst gimmick match they've done. Electrified Cage, anyone? At least the reverse battle royal could have made sense with less people involved.
  6. Minefield Rumble, you say? Hmmmmm...
  7. In the same light, Ron Killings during the formation of "The Truth."
  8. Foley going heel after WM14 is it for me. Knowing how much he sacrificed to get to where he was, to earn the opportunity to live out his childhood fantasy, and then to be handcuffed to a cage as four assholes wail away on him only to hear Austin's name chanted? Perfect reason to turn his back on the fans and to go after Austin himself.
  9. You can't credit that to Russo, though. It was written/revealed well after he was gone.
  10. Why did he go nowhere? I don't even remember an explanation for him leaving, now that I think of it. He was a precursor to Balls Mahoney, I think, and his hometown (the Last House on the Left) was awesome. RIP
  11. I don't think "Chaz Warrington: Woman Beater" was ever properly resolved. I just know he disappeared for a while and returned when Thrasher got healthy again.
  12. It wasn't spelled out perfectly, definitely more hinted at. Dare I say it was one of the few legitimately great plot points Russo wrote?
  13. It was, but it was also sorta resolved. Bossman was starting to be on the outs with Vince at the time, and then was welcomed back with open arms the next night with Vince saying something if the affect of "he did the right thing." This and Mae Young's handbaby are typically used to slight Russo when they either had conclusions or weren't his. As for something actually Russo's fault, the dissolution of SEX went absolutely nowhere. Russo disappeared, Disco took the reins, and then Russo returned without closure to become the manager AJ Styles never needed.
  14. I think the blaming of Luger more comes from the belief (whether true or false) that he's the one who introduced drugs to the relationship.
  15. The patterns on his gear changed a little until he started working in cargo pants in '06. When he went back to tights, he used variations on the camo designs of his pants until the "line" happened right around the time he had the Edgeheads and Vicki with him.

    Finishes

Finishes absolutely matter. I'd dare say they may be the most important part of the match since everything prior is supposed to build to that point.
  17. For when you dive into ICW, here's that playlist I posted about earlier: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLN3tCxB2QM_aIpdZ_j8K8IVyUmUsVJ1xi It really starts picking up at ICW Online S3, but there are some good bits and pieces of everything prior. The match quality is much poorer than Progress, overall, but I find myself not caring as much because wins and losses actually feel like they matter.
  18. The Riots seem like they'd be that much better in a garbage promotion. It seems like they'd be better fit as the street fighter type rather than brute wrestlers (which I feel is more suited to Rampage Brown anyway).
  19. You can probably make an argument that it was one of the first feuds the company had in a long time that was booked while sleepwalking. I remember their cage match being really good, too.
  20. Will Ospreay has been my favorite discovery. He uses modern flyer stuff but actually bothers to sell, making him one of the best overall faces I've seen in a while.
  21. Progress is great, especially once Jimmy Havoc starts to go heel, but I really love the aura and flow of ICW the most. The talent base isn't as quality as Progress on a show to show, match by match level, but watching the rise of Grado and the Bucky Boys and catching guys like BT Gunn and James Scott makes up for it. I actually put together a playlist of ICW's shows on YouTube (as in, the ones they've put out on YouTube), and seeing a progression of the quality of talent used and how they put shows together has been fun. Hopefully, their upcoming video game will be good and get them more international attention.
  22. Tommy Dreamer celebrating in the crowd whenever he had a big victory really hit it home that he was killing himself for them. Roddy Piper's wild, desperate punches. And how he'd pepper a few in followed by the wind up and an eye poke.
  23. Adding to Sid, his expressions when chewing gum and blowing bubbles. And how he'd yell at people as he walked down the ramp, rambling a lot of shit talk.
  24. So do you have trouble believing that Rey Mysterio Jr. or (insert smaller male talent) could move somebody slightly larger than him?
  25. Goldberg's shadow boxing during his entrance. It made him seem so ready to fight and fit the "no nonsense" aspect of his squashes. Dean Malenko loosening up his arms and staying limber, and then especially when Chris Jericho would mock it during their feud. Sabu taping up whatever injury he may receive and throwing himself at his opponent(s) no matter the cost. It's seen by many as a detriment, but I love it for how insane and animalistic it makes him feel.
