Agreed on most of your points. Jungle Boy should have went over Luchasaurus and Christian could have recruited someone else to try to take out Jungle Boy. Keep the feud going but keep it fresh. Keep throwing different challenges at Jungle Boy that he can overcome until Christian is back and Jungle Boy can have his victory. The repetition of the same thing at the same time is definitely a problem. Noticed it with the handshakes at the end of MJF/Yuta and Darby/Lethal two weeks ago too. Hopefully they pull the trigger on Hayter sooner than later. More Butcher Blade and Bunny yes please. Hopefully Orange gets a spotlight with the title that PAC really didn't. Jericho vs Castle is going to be fun and I honestly hope they keep it going for a few weeks and have a ROH 6 Man tag title match too.

In AEW “news” Fuego Del Sol, regular fixture of both "AEW Dark" and "AEW Dark: Elevation," was wished a happy birthday by the company on the official AEW Twitter account as he celebrates his 27th birthday. However, October 16 just so happens to be AEW EVP Kenny Omega's birthday as well, a fact noticeably ignored by the company. FYI Punk’s birthday is October 26th.

Looking at spoilers for Rampage tonight and I am super happy for Jericho's next challenger for the ROH Title.

So part of Page’s character is being paranoid delusional and thinking people in AEW are trying to get rid of his friends?
-
Page's promo was half good and half bad. He started off ok but then kind of lost his way and kept repeating himself. Hitting himself in the head was a bit much, and I can't tell if he kept touching the spot afterwards in an 'ow, that hurt' kind of way or if he though he made himself bleed or meant to make himself bleed. Either way, that part wasn't good. Interesting when he talked about his 'old friends' being gone. The longer it goes I wonder if it's for good. Best part of the show was Orange Cassidy winning the All Atlantic Championship. While the title doesn't mean much in AEW, it's still nice to see OC being rewarded for becoming one of the standouts of AEW since the beginning. Glad to see Renee, she should be a good addition. One of the things I wish AEW did have though was a heel interviewer like a Jesse Ventura type. Someone to help stir the pot and either hype the heels or start some conflicts. Christian while he is injured would probably be good in that role. Not sure what the point of Nyla Rose stealing the TBS title is. Seems strange that Anna Jay is out there challenging Rose to a match and not one of the Baddies. Rest of the show was just ok. Nothing great, nothing terrible. The Rampage card is a collection of weird matches. Mox and Claudio vs Butcher and Blade should be good, but it's filler. Shawn Spears showing up out of nowhere to team with FTR smells like a swerve. Probably leading to Spears joining the Embassy and them vs FTR, Joe, and Wardlow. The Firm and Private Party and Matt Hardy stuff is all over the place. Hopefully Tony can focus on making Rampage a more coherent show with a purpose soon.

Orange Cassidy winning a title makes me happier than anything in AEW has for a while. Feel good moment of the night.

WWE Extreme Rules: Donnybrooks, Fight Pits, and White Rabbits
Flyin' Brian replied to C.S.'s topic in WWE
Deepest darkest West Virginia is pretty damn scary. Lol I’ll have to check that out. -
That was six years ago, and after it came out publicly Sammy apologized both in public and in private to Sasha. Sasha said they talked about it and she believed Sammy realized it was wrong and why. She forgave him and let it go. That’s good enough for me.

Has anyone ever pulled off buying a 2nd promotion and running a big angle between the two that was good? The examples I can think of are Crockett buying the UWF and WWE buying WCW. Neither turned out that well. Tony isn’t leaning into AEW vs ROH yet, if that is even a plan at this point, but is there a successful example of something like that working anywhere before?

When WWF went national in the 80's, they also took a lot of the best talent from their respective regions BECAUSE they were already over in a lot of cases. Not everyone could be the guy, but each person had a role to play and understood it. Even though they weren't on top they still got a chance to shine especially when WWF rolled into that area, at least in the era back before they started jobbing everyone out in their hometown. There needs to be a clear hierarchy of who is at what level and what their job is. Some are going to be on top, some are going to be upper midcard either on their way to being elevated to the top or to help the wrestlers that are on their way the top to get there, some are midcard that are over enough to be featured but not over enough or in a position because of age or ability to be on top, and your lower card people to be jobbers or get experience and maybe move up at some point. Not everyone can be the star, and not everyone can be at the same level. If Tony gets more tv time, especially in the form of a ROH show, I think things will sort out and not be as jumbled as they are now. At the moment though, AEW has two promotions worth of everything and are trying to fit them into one. That's not going to work.

Out of curiosity, do any of the Elite guys actually own any trademarks for 'Elite' stuff, or is that all owned by AEW and Tony Khan?
-
Most of these guys are negotiating deals on their own, right? They don't have agents or anyone looking out for them to my knowledge like in other sports. They may not know how or the best way to negotiate, or even really what the contracts they are signing mean. They may just be looking at the bottom line of x amount of dollars for x years and thinking that sounds good and that's about it.

Back over 1 million viewers this week. We’ll see how they do against the baseball playoffs for the next month, but it’s encouraging to see that after they dipped under 1 million last week.

according to Andrade is the problem. Whether the story is true or not, he’s the one that goes telling it to make Sammy look bad. If it was solved, no reason to bring it up and tell details, right? Telling the story in an open forum is what causes the problems. Then starting a fight backstage after everyone involved was warned not to. TK should just let the malcontents go with the clause that they can’t talk about AEW or anyone there publicly after they leave. Then Andrade and Charlotte can go be the new HHH and Stephanie storyline wise or whatever. If people don’t want to be in AEW they shouldn’t be. I wouldn’t waste money paying them to stay at home. Maybe you release them with the condition they can’t sign with WWE for X amount of time like it was rumored was the condition for Black’s release. Either way, it’s the people starting trouble that are the problem in my eyes, not the ones that react to the trouble especially when it’s someone making trouble for them.

Got caught up on the rest of the show since I started watching late. MJF vs Yuta was a good opener, little bit of a tease of MJF maybe acting face like, Regal bringing out the brass knuckles was cool. Darby going over Lethal was 100% the right move, not a fan of the handshake drama at the end of both matches back to back, but with different outcomes on each it helped a little. Wardlow and Cage was good, Wardlow destroying people every week would help him if they would stick with it. The fact that he's only having one defense a month of the TNT title when it was supposed to be a TV title type belt defended every week is not good. Glad FTR gets to be on TV and finally has a tag match scheduled this week. The jury is still out on Saraya, random multi women's matches every week is doing the division no favors. Hayter finally turning on Britt could be a big deal but seems far away now. National Scissoring Day celebration was fun, Bowens came off the best I think. Didn't realize Caster's dad was in the NFL, that was a nice touch since he played for Washington.

If Omega and the Bucks were coming back anytime soon, I figured they would have shown up last night. It's been a month since they were suspended, and Punk will be on commentary for CFFC Saturday. Omega's contract is up in February if they don't tack any time on for injuries, is it possible he just doesn't come back? He probably has a match with Osprey coming up at Wrestle Kingdom to build up to, maybe they do some of that on AEW TV but they don't have to.

I’m a Sammy fan, and I love the heat, as long as they can keep it as real heel heat and not go away heat. A lot of that is up to Sammy. Hopefully he can stop doing stupid stuff outside of the ring, because otherwise I think he’s money.
-
Good tag match, decent main event, no reason for a 15 minute overrun though.
-
Sammy must have ran home and back real quick.
-
Mox with the verbal bitch slap on Pouty Page. I love it.
-
I like Yuta better as the underdog babyface, so him vs MJF should be good to me. Darby better get a win against Lethal. Who will interrupt National Scissoring Day? Wardlow vs Brian Cage, Luchasaurus, and the women's match are all Meh stuff though. I wish Rush would go over Page, but not going to happen since they have to keep him strong for the title match. Main event should be good but will we get a swerve? They have to do something to justify that 15 minute overrun.
-
Looking at the match listing for Dark Elevation tonight, Lance Archer vs Cheeseburger amuses me. Dalton Castle and the Boys deserve better than Dark Elevation, as does Dante Martin teaming with Tony Deppen vs the Lucha Bros. We get a Brian Cage sighting too. The main sounds fun. Danhausen Rocky Romero and the Best Friends vs The Factory.
-
Castle and the Boys vs Jericho and two other members of the JAS would be fun too.
-
Would love that. It would have to be on an ROH PPV, but really that makes it even better.
-
Jericho vs past ROH champions might be good. I'd actually look forward to Jericho vs Samoa Joe.
