Heel Tunney, I like it! Valentine gives Martel a scare until Bravo and Hart interfere. Valentine vs. Bravo will be a fun mid card feud. It's cool seeing a couple of legendary figures like Rhodes and Andre teaming up. Looking forward to Rude and Warrior locking horns. Tito looking strong. Oh wow, I wonder who Savage will being out to face the Skyscrapers. I'm hoping all this leads to a Savage/Muta showdown. I think the Steiners are going to have a hard time getting a rematch with the Rougeaus. Good things happening in the WWF right now.

Happy to see the Tournament of Lions back! Regal carries his CA title win momentum into the tournament. Starr takes advantage of the chaos to advance. Oh man I love Iron and Steel even more after that promo. Finlay will be a force in the tournament. Blackman's name is on the rise in PCW and I see him doing well in the tournament. Damn! Dutch lays down the law with authority. No doubt about it, he means business! Hart and Austin brawling right after Dutch's announcement got a big laugh from me. I have a feeling Dutch has something special planned for these two. Vancouver, Awesome just steamrolls over Payne. Dustin's woes continue as do Lee's frustrations. Looks like Severn and Tenryu are trying to bring respect and honor out of their pupils. Hart and Austin are really testing Dutch. Hashimoto is already in fighting champion mode as he retains against a red hot Condrey. Kelowna, Hall gives the Brigade a much needed win. The Southern Boys are getting a real kick out of the Blondes rule breaking. The LHWs showcase once again why this division is so exciting. After that decisive win over Rose, Bigelow should be in line for a title shot. Pillman evens things up...for now. Scotty is going to have a great LHW title run.

Larry Nelson: Hello everyone and welcome to another edition of AWA Major League Wrestling. Fans, on Saturday Oct. 5th, from the Mecca in Milwaukee, the AWA presents its next pay per view, The Happening. Hulk Hogan will defend the AWA world title against Tatsumi Fujinami. Tonight, both men will be in the ring to sign the official contract. Also tonight, The Rock n Roll Express teams with Steve Disalvo to take on the Soultaker and the Moondogs. El Canek returns to AWA action. Brutus Beefcake makes his AWA debut. And there will be two matches, Lou Perez vs. Mike Miller and Tom Brandi vs. Cannonball Griz. The winners will face each other at the Happening for the AWA TV Title. So much going on, so lets get to the ring. Justified (Gary Young and Rip Oliver) vs. Trent Watkins and Louis Carbon Oliver and Young have apparently joined forces to compete in the AWA tag team ranks. They come out wearing black boots, black knee pads, black tights and black vests. They get the job done in the ring tonight. Oliver hits a diving clothesline from the middle ropes on Watkins, then tags in Young. Young finishes things off with a tornado DDT. Nelson: Ok Rip Oliver and Gary Young. We all saw you guys at Title Night do a number on Vinergy and Vin Man. It now looks like you'll be teaming up as Justified. Talk to me about the name and your intentions. Young: Vinnie! Vinergy! You all made a big mistake kicking me out and putting me down. What we did to you at Title Night is just the beginning! Oliver: That's right! Gary and I were both embarrassed by those 3 idiots and we feel we were justified in our actions. Hence the name. From here on out, we're going to be justified in all our actions! Commercial Break Winner will advance to a TV title match at the Happening 'Lightning' Lou Perez vs. 'Mean' Mike Miller Miller attacks at the bell and starts hammering away on Perez. Miller swings Perez to the ropes and goes for a back drop but Perez leapfrogs over, swings back and puts Miller down with a dropkick. Miller gets up but Perez puts him back down with another dropkick. Perez goes to the top rope and comes down with a knee drop but Miller moves. Miller regroups and stomps down on Perez. Miller rakes his boot across Perez's head. Miller picks up Perez and executes a vertical suplex. Miller follows with a shoulder breaker 1..2..Perez gets his foot on the rope. Miller's pissed and starts choking Perez. Miller picks up Perez and swings him into the turnbuckles. Miller charges but Perez moves. Miller hits hard and staggers back as Perez grabs him and hits a bridging back suplex 1..2..3!! Big POP! Commercial Break El Canek vs. Todd Rooney Canek returns from another successful tour of Mexico. Canek looks awesome tonight and wins the match with a body slam followed by a senton from the middle ropes. WHAM! Canek is attacked by Black Blood! Skandor Akbar is instructing Blood as Blood inflicts more punishment. Blood leaps off the top rope and nails Canek with a knee drop across his throat! Nelson: Akbar! What the hell was that all about? Akbar: How quickly you forget Nelson. Greg Gagne hired me to do a job and Black Blood will make damn sure we finish that job! That was a warning Canek! Leave the AWA while you still can walk or Black Blood will see to it that you're stretchered out of here! Commercial Break 'Sir' Tony St. Clair w/Les Thornton vs. Ray Glader St. Clair puts on a wrestling clinic tonight. He nails Glader with a running European uppercut the follows with a floating butterfly suplex for the win. Nelson: Ok Les Thornton, your Parliament will be very busy. It's been announced that Tony St. Clair will face Carlos Colon at the Happening. Also, next week your Union Jacks will face Karachi Vice and the winners will get a world tag title shot at the Happening. Thornton: Carlos Colon is merely a stepping stone for Sir Tony. Quite frankly Sir Tony is leagues ahead of a blood thirsty savage like Colon. Sir Tony will teach a brawler like Colon a serious wrestling lesson. Next, the Union Jacks will finally get rid of those peasants Karachi Vice and then move on to win the world titles and bring them back to the Queen. I told you, the Parliament will rule the AWA! Commercial Break Winner will face Lou Perez for the AWA TV Title at The Happening 'Thrilling' Tom Brandi vs. Cannonball Griz We get a contrast of styles match here as Brandi excites the fans with his high flying maneuvers while Griz puts his size and power to good use. A few minutes in and the match could go either way. Griz takes control and slams Brandi down hard. Griz swings Brandi to the ropes and puts him down with a back elbow smash, then follows with a standing fist drop 1..2..Kick Out. Griz swings Brandi to the ropes but misses a clothesline, Brandi swings back and hits a flying press 1..2..Kick Out. Both men stagger up and start punching away on each other. Brandi gets the upper hand and atomic drops Griz into the turnbuckles. Griz staggers back and down as Brandi goes out to the apron and hits a sling shot splash 1..2..3!! Big Pop! Tom Brandi will face Lou Perez at the Happening for the AWA TV title Commercial Break Brutus Beefcake vs. Clyde Putnam The fans get a kick out of Beefcake as he struts around the ring and has a good time. Beefcake swings Putnam to the ropes and hits a running high knee for the win. Larry Nelson goes into the ring to talk with Brutus. Hold on! Austin Idol, Bill Dundee, Chicky Starr and Dream Machine enter the ring. Nelson: Wait a minute! Because of all the issues, Bob Armstrong, Iceman Parsons and Don Muraco were told not to show up tonight, so please, don't cause any trouble. And Dundee, I thought you left the AWA? Dundee: You thought wrong Nelson. I've never felt better in my life after that beating I gave Muraco last week. Have mercy! But we're not here to talk about that. We're here to talk to this man (points at Beefcake) Dream: That's right! So listen up babay! Starr: It's simple, we don't like the looks of you amigo. Idol: Look Beefcake, Chicky said it best. The All-Stars simply don't like you darling. I mean who do you think you are coming in here and strutting around, dressing like us and copying our every move. We don't need another imposter, so why don't you go back to where you came from. The All-Stars are out here to welcome our newest member and brother it isn't you! So get lost or get a beating! Beefcake: (rubs his chin) You know my good buddy, the real superstar Billy Graham (this gets Dundee heated) told me about a group. But I thought you boys were the No Stars! The All-Stars circle Beefcake. The fans go wild as Beefcake starts throwing punches! He's doing pretty good but the numbers catch up. Things get worse when BRIAN ADIAS runs in and starts stomping down on Beefcake! All 5 men put the boots to Beefcake. Dundee goes to the top rope and crashes down with the Bombs Away. Chicky hits his corkscrew elbow drop. Dream follows with a jumping elbow drop. Idol picks up Beefcake and holds him. The All-Stars smile and let Adias do the honors. Adias grabs Beefcake and hits a Russian Leg Sweep. Adias puts his boot on Beefcake's chest as the All-Stars surround Adias and hold up his arms. Idol grabs the mic. Idol: The All-Stars needed a blockbuster hit and we found one. Welcome Brian! Commercial Break David Sammartino vs. Neil Jordan Sammartino wins the match with a belly to belly suplex! Nelson: David, since you've arrived to the AWA, Larry Zbyszko has been a big thorn in your side. Well, at the Happening you two will meet in a no DQ match. Sammartino: I guess it wasn't enough that I knocked him out at WrestleRock. NO! He had to beat me senseless with nun chucks! Fine! I can fight dirty too and at the Happening I get to do whatever I want. That means you're in a lot of trouble Zbyszko! Commercial Break The Rock n Roll Express and 'The Mighty Yankee' Steve Disalvo vs. The Moondogs and Soultaker w/Skandor Akbar Shocker, but this one is declared a No Contest from the start. RnR and the Moondogs fight all over the place, while Disalvo and Soultaker trade hard shots in the ring. The viewers get to enjoy the chaos up until the commercial break. Commercial Break Brenda Britton is in the ring with AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow Britton: Hi everybody, it's only fitting that I kick off this historical contract signing. Ok Gerry, it's all yours. Morrow: AHHHHHH thank you Brenda. The Happening will take place on October 5th at de Mecca in Milwaukee. Before we get to dis contract signing, I would like to announce another big title bout for de Happening. Paul Orndorff will defend de International title against Stan Hansen. Britton: Oh my! That's a dream match for sure! Morrow: Indeed it is Brenda. Dat is why I signed it. I cannot wait. Ok, we all know dat Hulk Hogan will defend de AWA world title against de winner of last week's battle royal Tatsumi Fujinami. Let me first welcome out de challenger, Tatsumi Fujinami. Fujinami comes out wearing a black kimono. He steps in the ring and shakes hands with Morrow. Morrow: And now please welcome de AWA world champion, Hulk Hogan. Eye of the Tiger blasts as Hogan comes out wearing jeans, tank top and headband. The title is around his waist. He enters the ring and shakes hands with Morrow. Morrow pulls out the contract. Morrow: Mr. Hogan if you would sign here please and feel free to say a few words. Hogan signs the contract and is ready to speak. Boos as Ray Stevens enters the ring. Morrow: Mr. Stevens, this is quite a surprise. Stevens: This won't take long Gerry. (looks at Hogan) You don't think Jumbo Tsuruta forgot about you, do you? Oh no Hogan, Jumbo is still in Japan. However, in the meantime, I've got something for you Hogan and trust me you're going to love this. WHAM! From behind, Fujinami nails Hogan with an Enzigiri! Fujinami picks up Hogan and delivers a Dragon Suplex! Hogan is down. Britton: What just happened!!?? Stevens: I'll tell you what just happened! The show ends with Hogan laid out while Stevens raises Fujinami's arm.

Funaki took a lot of punishment but comes back strong to get the win. Good match to kick things off in Moscow. I think having the home crowd behind him helped Zouev edge out Shamrock. That devastating back fist was enough to lead Han to an impressive victory. WOW! Onita's resilience impressed me here as he weathered a big storm from Berkovich to prevail in the end. Ruas makes relatively short work of Zalasov. Experience was the key factor here. Allen gets respect in Russia after that win. He's still got it! I could imagine the silenced crowd after Williams finished things off. Willams and Albright are a force! Moscow had the pleasure of watching Vader's debut and he didn't disappoint. It's going to take a lot to beat the man they call Vader. David put his wrestling skills to work, but Maeda's kicks were too much to handle. It was cool seeing a big name like Maeda get the win in Russia. Takada gave the Fans a few scares but Karelin stuck to his plan and sent them home happy. After this show and the attendance, I'm sure the UWF will be back for more.

Big win for Dynamite scores him some points. Prichard is on fire right now! Studd gets the best of Orton in a fun heel battle. Next week's Garvin vs. Race match will be the definition of hard hitting.

AWA National Tag Team Title Bout The Olympians (C) vs. The Brawny Boys The Olympians look arrogant and proud tonight while Morris and Kazmaier look focused and determined. After a couple minutes of back and forth action, Patera challenges Kaz to a test of strength. They lock hands. The momentum goes back and forth. Kaz slowly starts to get the upper hand but Rheingans comes in and delivers a high knee to Kaz's back. Morris mows Rheingans down. The Ref guides Morris back as Patera stomps down on Kaz. The Fantastics are on another level when it comes to teamwork as they work Vinergy over with quick tags and high octane maneuvers. Vinergy is definitely making an impression tonight as they control a segment with power and speed. They almost score an upset, when they hit a double sling shot suplex on Rogers but Fulton makes the save. The Fantastics come back hard and almost put Dukes away with a double dropkick, but Putski makes the save. More see saw action follows which leads to a pier six brawl. During the brawl the Ref takes a bump. Vinnie goes to the top rope. Hold on! Gary Young and Rip Oliver sprint down the aisle. They both push Vinnie off the top turnbuckles. Vinergy sees this and head towards Oliver and Young. The Fantastics dropkick Dukes out of the ring. They grab Putski and double slam him down, then follow with the Rocket Launcher! The Ref crawls over and counts 1..2..3! Big Pop! As the Fantastics leave. Young and Oliver beat down Dukes on the outside. They go into the ring and take it to Putski. Vinnie tries to crawl out of there but Oliver and Young grab him. Vinnie is begging and pleading. Oliver smiles and slaps Vinnie across the face. Vinnie spins around as Young winds up and slaps him down. Young picks up Vinnie and delivers a tornado DDT! Oliver and Young leave while Vinnie and Vinergy are laid out. Phoenix Firestorm. I've been pumped up for this one! Azul's win gets the night going. The Juice Crew gives Sinister early momentum. I give Payne a lot of credit, but man who can stop Wiliams right now? First Blackman and now Stormfront. Poor Severn has his hands full. Is there still hope for Busick? I have a feeling Douglas isn't giving up. Lee wanted a brawl and definitely got one as Gordy puts him down. I have to say, I popped at Scotty winning the LHW title. This is going to be a fun reign. The Dreamboats have become a serious thorn for Cornette and his Express. Too be continued. Rose tried everything and should've known the Playboy Club's foes would be watching. Hashimoto gets a feel good moment. I have to wonder what's next for Rose. Is it Scotty's time? We'll find out soon enough. Night 2, YES! Adams vs. Pillman is an electrifying way to start things off. Oh man, the Terror really has young Dustin's number. I think it's time to put Hall and Awesome in the cage. Was that the Southern Boys way of welcoming the Blondes to the heel side. LOL Iron and Steel give Cactus a hammering. What did Cactus do to deserve all this? If he wants payback, he better call in an army to take on these guys. In a twist Chono and Blackman keep their cool. Blackman scores the fall, but Chono seems to want more. This has been a fun feud. Finlay has been on a submission terror and keeps his momentum going as he trounces Eddie to win the title. It took a lot, but Dibiase kos Windham to get the win. Clean sweep and an epic 2 nights for the Terror Collective! Bret causes Austin to lose focus AND his CA title. Regal's once again on top. Austin and Bret are going to get ugly. I agree, Phoenix winning the titles was the match of the night. Well earned victory! I did enjoy the Can Am's reign. After a crazy two nights we get an even crazier finish in the main event. That was nuts! I can't wait to hear what Dutch has to say. It might not be good for the Jackal or Steamboat. As always, Firestorm delivered! Great job!

Summerslam! Oh yea! Duggan gets a guitar blast from Earthquake and a kick from Haku. Rough night! Steiners win the US titles in the Rougeaus homeland. What a match and what a moment! Martel is all in on this gimmick and gets a nice showcase against Snuka. I thought Duggan had a rough night but Bossman's might be worse. Slick will be serving hard time after that slap. On the flip side, the Skyscrapers have to be considered serious contenders. Davey Boy looked incredible tonight. Tito brought his A game but Muta is on a different level right now. Well, we all knew this was just about the visual. Thankfully Andre ended things relatively quickly and remains the true giant. After one heck of a chase, the Rockers finally win the world titles! Fun match with an exciting ending. Damn! The War Zone match was off the charts! Fantastic write up and easy to follow. It gave the fans everything they could have ask for. Savage gets the visual of the night to end the show on the highest of notes. Awesome job! Raw, Good job with the Summerslam follow up. We got some solid promos and have a sense on where things are going. There are so many contenders for Rude right now and that's exactly how it should be. The second half of 89 will be very interesting. WOW! Just like that the Rougeaus are the new US champs. I love the idea of an all American boys US title reign. Bring on the heat.
-
Race proves he can win without JJ's help. Only a matter of time before Race gets fed up. Great finish by Garvin as he works his way to another shot at Budro. Both Bundy and Studd have to be considered favorites. Things will get interesting as the series progresses.

Dibiase has really shaken things up in PCW. Phoenix Rising has risen to a tag title shot. You gotta love Cornette's one liners, but for me the Eaton glance was icing on the cake. I can get behind a Pillman/Adams feud. My guys Iron and Steel are quickly becoming title contenders. Hashimoto sends a strong message to Rose. LA, Poor Rhodes has been taking some beatings and Lee's frustrations are building. You're right, Awesome might've killed Cactus if Hall didn't stop things. Windham's a man possessed. A distracted Austin still manages to retain. I think the Ministry actually breathed fire into the Dragon. Santa Barbara, I'm loving this hard hitting Blackman/Chono feud! Finlay is really making a claim for a Submission title shot. Gunn has racked up some impressive wins this year. I wouldn't mind watching Severn and Tenryu go at it for 20 minutes. The Midnights better regain focus otherwise the Dreamboats might pull off the upset of the year. Are we seeing a Candido heel turn? Malenko has been dominant as LHW champ. Firestorm is beyond stacked!

I have been hard at work assembling what I am calling the Parliament. As you know I purchased the contracts of the British Bombers from Skandor Akbar. I would like to bring them out now. Only they will now be known as the Union Jacks. The Union Jacks come out wearing shiny Union Jack themed jackets and Union Jack themed wrestling pants. They shake hands with Thornton. Thornton: I have promised the Union Jacks that they can finish their business with Karachi Vice. Once we get through with them, we are setting our sights on tag team gold. Now, I would like you all to show proper respect as Sir Tony St. Clair graces us with his presence. St. Clair strolls out in a fur cape and purple wrestling pants with a gold lion on the back. He shakes hands with Thornton and the Union Jacks. Thornton: Sir Tony is hands down simply the best wrestler in the AWA. It's only a matter of time before he's holding a prestigious title. You're looking at the Parliament and there is nothing that can stop this royal group. Commercial Break AWA World Tag Champs the Fantastics vs. Cole Winsor and Treat Wallace The Fantastics make it look easy as they win the match with the Rocket Launcher. Nelson: On September 2nd at the next Title Night in Winnipeg, you two will be defending against Vinergy. Vinergy have been causing a lot of trouble recently. They kicked Gary Young out of the group, then last week assaulted Rip Oliver. Vinnie says you guys are next. Fulton: If they think they're somehow intimidating us, think again! Vinergy! You're next! Rogers: The only thing Vinnie and Vinergy are doing is making enemies. At title night, we're going to show them what cohesive tag team wrestling is all about! These belts are staying with us! Commercial Break The Rock n Roll Express vs. The Moondogs w/Skandor Akbar I know it's a shocker, but this match never officially begins as both teams just tear into each other before the bell rings and don't stop. It's pure chaos as they brawl all over the place and into the commercial break. This one's far from over. Commercial Break 'The Foreman' Spike Huber vs. Todd Rooney Huber looks tough tonight. He gives Rooney an airplane spin, drops him and follows with a standing leg drop for the win. Commercial Break Sweet Dreams vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez Sweet Dreams win the match with a double headbutt. Wait a minute! Austin Idol and Chicky Starr come into the ring. Starr is holding a briefcase. Idol grabs the mic. Idol: After what went down last week, Bill Dundee, the real superstar has left the AWA and I don't blame him. He was robbed and cheated! Well, the All-Stars have decided to turn the heat up around here. (Looks at Dream Machine) Dream, you and I go back a long way daddy and if there's one man who deserves to be an All-Star, it's you baby! My man Chicky has something for you. Consider it a bonus. Starr kneels down and opens the briefcase which is filled with money. Starr slides it over towards Dream Machine. Dream kneels down and pulls out a wad of bills and counts them. Sweet Brown Sugar walks over to Dream and starts talking sense to him. Dream closes the briefcase, grabs it and stands up. Sugar continues to talk with him. Commercial Break 'Blockbuster' Brian Adias vs. Ray Glader The former record setting TV Champ looks focused tonight and wins the match with a cradle suplex. Nelson: It all happens in Winnipeg at the next Title Night. Brian Adias, you gave up a lot for this opportunity. Adias: It was an easy decision! A no brainer! Because everybody knows that I'm walking out of Winnipeg as the AWA world champion. I've been waiting months for this match! I've been patiently waiting to shut Chump Hogan's mouth. He's not in my league in Hollywood and he damn sure isn't in my league in the ring. Listen up Chump! I'm going to humiliate and embarrass you as I wrestle circles around you. I know what being a champion is all about. Something you'll never know Chumpster. You're nothing but a paper champ. Adias pulls out a piece of paper and pen, then signs it and gives it to Nelson. Adias: You just got the first autograph of the next AWA world champ. Save that Nelson, it's priceless, just like me. AWA puts Bill Dundee on the block
-
Good set of matches to kick off the series. Rain beat me to the punch. I also think this might be Prichard's time to shine. He's got some serious momentum going.
-
I always thought it was cool when managers would trade talent. Like AD mentioned, this does make total sense. Will Zeus be the deciding factor at Summerslam? Tito cuts a pumped up promo but Muta's in the groove right now. I'm still torn on the Demolition/Rockers match. Both teams are looking strong, but I think the Rockers might have just a little more momentum going in. We shall see. I'm interested in how the Andre/Gonzalez is going to go down. We all know this one's all about the visual, but for some reason I think we're going to see some crazy chaos. Valentine and Bravo are going to explode. Meanwhile the Bulldog has been getting in some big moments. All roads lead to Summerslam. This card has been built up well. The Rougeaus better be on their A game against the Steiners. Awesome way to end the show. I was already excited about the War Zone match, but now I know it's going to be epic!
-
It says a lot when even Cornette doesn't question Busick. I was actually thinking the same thing about Lee. It's like ridding the Undertaker took everything out of him. Good to see he's trying to get his groove back. Very eerie promo from Sinister. Hart and Austin are tearing up PCW. Maybe a cage match is the only solution. Brigade win a battle but it was a fight. Seems like the Dreamboats are one step ahead of the Midnights. Can they pull off the upset of the year? Cow Palace, Chono and Blackman are rivaling Hart and Austin in the hot feud category. Poor Dustin is taking some beatings from Williams. Pillman is victorious this round, but I'm sure Scotty wants to go another round. Steamboat returns and sends a strong message that he isn't a false dragon. Can Ams hang on to retain. Speaking of hanging on, Rose barely squeaks by again. It doesn't help that Hall is causing hell for the Playboy Club. Fresno, Oh yea, Iron and Steel are officially back in the tag team scene. WATCH OUT! Lynn gets in a rare defeat on Condrey. I'm really interested in where Busick is heading. We get a taste in the long awaited Hall/Awesome showdown. To be continued. Starr takes a pounding from Bigelow. It's good to have friends in PCW. Just ask Douglas. As always, the LHW's continue to keep the division hot and close the night on an exciting note. Phoenix Firestorm is always one of the best cards of the year. Steamboat vs. Jackel is going to be NUTS!

Sammartino's head is bleeding as Larry picks him up and executes a swinging neckbreaker! Larry steps on Sammartino's chest and walks over him. Nelson: Ok on September 2nd in Winnipeg at the next Title Night, you two will defend the National tag titles against the Brawny Boys, Jim Morris and Bill Kazmaier. Rheingans: Wow, this is what the tag team division has come to. Those two oofs are the best the AWA can come up with to challenge us for our prestigious titles. One is a dumb hillbilly and the other is an Olympic wannabe. Patera: It makes me sick! The Olympians have brought honor and class to these National titles and yet we have to lower our standards to face a couple of dopes. Well fine, I guess we'll have to make an example of them and once again show the AWA what true champions are all about. The Ref signals for the second DQ of the night. As Starr stomps away on Bob, Iceman Parsons hits the ring and all hell breaks loose. All four men are brawling all over the place as officials and prelim wrestlers run out to break it up. Commercial Break Blackblood w/Skandor Akbar vs. Harold Bannister Akbar looks pleased as Blackblood jumps off the top rope and hits the flying kneedrop across the throat for the win. Nelson: Skandor, at Title Night, Blackblood gets his shot at the International title held by a man you know quite well, Paul Orndorff. Akbar: Everyone has seen the devastation Blackblood has done. Paul Orndorff thinks he got the best of me, well think again! At Title Night, I'm going to unleash Blackblood and believe me, he's going to rip Orndorff apart and then take his title! You're doomed and finished Orndorff! Oh and as for those sissys, the Rock in Roll Express, your time in the AWA will be short lived after the Moondogs take care of you next week! Commercial Break 'Crippler' Rip Oliver vs. Trent Watkins Oliver finishes things off with a flying forearm from the middle ropes. Nelson: Rip, what's on your agenda here in the AWA? Boos as the Vin Man and Vinergy walk out. Nelson: Come on Vinnie, this is Rip's time. Vinnie: Just a minute Larbo. Nobody cares about Rip Van Winkle. All these people want to hear from me and the future AWA world tag team champs, Vinergy...YEA! Rip: Hey, why don't you take a hike little man! Vinnie: Nobody talks to the Vin Man like that. Vinnie pushes Oliver. Oliver slaps Vinnie across the face! Vinergy jump Oliver and beat him. They hurl him into the ring, swing him to the ropes and put him down with a double Polish Hammer! Vinergy hold Oliver and wait for Vinnie to regroup. Vinnie enters the ring and slaps Oliver across the face. Vinergy laugh and drop Oliver. Vinnie looks into the camera "Your next Fantastics! YEA! Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, before we get to our main event, I've been told that Bob Armstrong, Iceman Parsons, Chicky Starr and Austin Idol have all been banned from the building. Ok, lets see who walks away with the Superstar moniker. 'The Rock' Don Muraco w/Superstar Billy Graham vs. Superstar Bill Dundee Before the bell rings, Dundee is berating Graham. Graham tries to walk away but Dundee sends Graham through the ropes with a forearm blast. Muraco runs out and helps Graham to his feet. Muraco yells at the Ref to ring the bell. The bell rings and Muraco goes on a terror and pinballs Dundee all over the ring! Dundee backs into the corner and begs for his life. Muraco smiles and starts kicking and stomping down on Dundee. Muraco picks up Dundee by his hair and hurls him across the ring. Dundee staggers up against the ropes as Muraco charges and clotheslines him over the top rope. Eye of the Tiger blasts as Hogan comes out in jeans, tank top, headband and the world title around his waist. Hogan enters the ring and holds his title high as he walks around. Resnick: Hulk, on behalf of the AWA and all these screaming fans, congratulations on winning the world title. Hogan: Well you know something Killer Ken! Hulk Hogan had one goal in the AWA brother and that was to win this world title and conquer Mount AWA! I achieved that goal thanks to the power of Hulkamania and all my Hulkamaniacs! Resnick: You're right about that! Just listen to this crowd. Ok Hulk, I'm sure you saw what went down last week. Brian Adias relinquished his TV title in the midst of a record run to challenge you for the world title. That match takes place in Winnipeg on September 2nd at Title Night. Now Brian has sort of been obsessed with you and your career in Hollywood. Hogan: Oh I've heard all the comments from Brian Adias. He's been running his mouth for months about his Hollywood career. But I have one question. What's he actually done in Hollywood? I haven't seen him in anything and nobody in Hollywood seems to know who he is. Brian Adias is all talk brother. He's been bad mouthing me long enough and his time comes at Title Night. Brian Adias! Whatcha gonna do when the power of Hulkamania runs wild on you!!!!!! The show ends with Hogan ripping his shirt off and posing.

Bash at the Beach! Let's do this! Poffo opening up the show with a moonsault is a great way to get things going. In a rare twist, the heels are caught and the Nightmares retain. It took a lot, but SSM puts Abby down and gets his match with Sullivan. All hell breaks loose as this gem of a feud continues. Oh man, 2 Cold will be coming after Poffo. Another fun feud here. Kevin wins the gold with the claw! It's great seeing Kevin get a push here. The Starrcade Series is one of my favorite events of the year. Can't wait! The Doctor is called and he proves to be the deciding factor in the big main event. I have a feeling the Horsemen are heading for a break up or a reboot. Good story going on here. Your big events always deliver!
-
Dissention in the Hart Foundation. Santana gets the IC shot. Muta closes things out with the mist. Wow, a lot going on. Steiners and Rougeaus will battle for the US titles. Steiners would be awesome champs, but man, the Rougeaus would bring mega heat to the US titles. With Martel's current gimmick, Snuka is a great opponent. Fun angle. Summerslam is stacked! The War Zone match is going to rock!
-
Common enemies unite Cactus and Regal. I'm enjoying the resurgence of Condrey here. Gordy shows he's one bad dude. Wings of Fire prove they're still in the hunt. One thing Douglas needs is a friend. Looks like he found one. I like the twist with the supporting players elevating a feud. Portland, I don't know if the Playboy Club is ready for Hall's rampage. The Triangle of terror just keep dominating. I think DDP might be regretting his treatment of Bigelow. Can Ams get in a hard fought title defense. Windham wins a battle. If Hall takes out Awesome, Rose is in serious trouble. Eugene, Finlay makes it known he can go for the submission title. Albright fits right in with the Terror. Pillman needed a strong win and certainly got it tonight. Malenko remains on top of the LHW division. Look at that, the Midnights take a rare loss. This really catapults the Dreamboats. Azul gives the champ a fight, but Eddie finishes strong to retain.

What happened at WrestleRock was nothing but a fluke. Iceman Parsons, the next time I see your ugly face amigo, I'm going to punch you right in the mouth! Dundee: Billy Graham! I've had it with you using my moniker. Now I know your incapable of stepping that broken body of yours into a ring, so here's the deal. Vinnie and Vinergy are celebrating in the ring like they won the Superbowl. Vinnie grabs the mic. Vinnie: That's a win for Vinergy! YEA! Commercial Break AWA World Tag Champs The Fantastics vs. Trent Watkins and Royce Jones The Fantatsics are full of energy tonight and win the match with the Rocket Launcher. Nelson: It's great to see you guys finally holding the gold. You ended the 14 month reign of the Guerreros and also sent them out of the AWA. Job well done. As you know, things keep moving. At the next Title Night in Winnipeg, you two will defend the titles against Vinergy. Rogers: Larry, I can't tell you how great it is to be champs. Adias: I'm glad you asked Gerry. As you know Blockbuster Brian Adias has brought the AWA to new heights, thanks to my many ventures in Hollywood. It was all me and not that dismal actor and subpar wrestler Hogan. Which brings me to my point. Enough is enough! I'm here to challenge Hulk Hogan for the AWA world title in Winnipeg. Morrow: Brian, are you serious about dis? Adias: I've never been more certain of anything in my charmed life. Gerry, as you know I'm in the midst of a record title reign. 16 months as the TV champion! 16 months! That's unheard of! So, to show you how serious I am. I'm here to relinquish my TV title for a world title shot. Britton: OH MY! WOW! I told you everything happens with me. Morrow: Brian, are you absolutely sure you want to do dis? Damn, what a great looking card! The main event is going to rock! Can't wait to find out who the mystery partner is.

The night kicks off with a bang with the arrival of Vader!!! I always know the young lions are going to get the crowd warmed up. Fuke and Yamada were so evenly matched that they go the limit. Hopefully we get a rematch. I totally agree with that final statement. Anjo brought the energy tonight and it paid off well. I thought Shamrock was going to take it, but Suzuki finished strong by perfectly setting things up for that piledriver. Vrij sticks to his plan and scored some knockdowns, but Han's patience and skills pay off to secure him a well earned victory. Zangiev was on his wrestling A game, but Yamazaki's onslaught at the end takes it. Those kidney shots are brutal Very interesting finish in the Funaki/Backlund match. Funaki was doing well for himself. I wonder what happened and what made him upset. Very impressive outing for the Russian team. Maeda was in true forum and shines tonight in the main event. That finishing sequence was amazing. Great stadium show. This proves the UWF is at the top of their game. You've done a great job building this promotion. We all got to see this from the ground up. Excellent work!

Jake is back! It's going to be cool watching two pros like Valentine and Tito battling for an IC shot at Muta. Although Bravo might not think it's cool. I'm loving Martel's gimmick and it looks like he does too. Both Duggan and Haku have some serious back up. Zeus is becoming the difference maker. Paul E better come up with a solution. Who will be the WWF's only giant? It's freakn awesome seeing Jake and Funk working together, but that just might have been trumped with the return of the ULTIMATE WARRIOR!!!!!! Can't wait for Summerslam!
