Cactus swings off the opposite ropes and hits a type off flying press that sends both men over the top rope. Both me are lying on the outside as the Ref counts to 10. After a minute, both men stagger up and continue to fight until several prelim wrestlers rush out to break them up. Commercial Break We see a desolate town. The camera pans up to the Hangman gripping his noose. The camera pans over to Nell wearing his old preacher suit and white cowboy hat. Nell: Texas Red, the time has finally come. You know that old saying, this town isn't big enough for the both of us? Well, the AWA isn't big enough for you and the Hangman. We're going to settle this with an old fashion showdown, a Texas Death loser leaves town match. Oh we've watched the countless souls you've sent away but your soul is next. The question is, do you have the guts? The camera pans up to the Hangman as he tightens his grip on his noose. Commercial Break 'The Modern Day Warrior' Kerry Von Erich vs. Marvin Hanes Kerry nails Hanes with the Discuss punch and finishes things off with the claw! Nelson: Kerry, you've been on quite the roll since returning to the AWA. As you can see, there's a lot going on here. Kerry: I'm glad you said that Larry. You know, I saw what went down last week with Hogan and the Horsemen. The Horsemen are real good at playing the numbers. That doesn't sit right with me. So, Hulk Hogan, if you ever need my help, just let me know brother. Let's even up those numbers. Commercial Break AWA World Tag Team Champs The Enforcers w/Tully Blanchard vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez Tully's all smiles as Arn hits a spinebuster and Zbyszko follows with a swinging neckbreaker for the easy win. Nelson: Ok. joining me now are Tully Blanchard and the Enforcers. Boy, you guys really put a damper on Hulk Hogan's return. Just what's going on with you guys and Dan Spivey? Arn: Before we get to that, I have a message for that white knight wannabe Kerry Von Erich. Tread lightly because you sure as hell don't know what you're dealing with. Zbyszko: That goes for any other spudhead that wants to be a hero. Stay out of our way and stay out of our business. Tully: Spoken like true Horsemen. Now, if Dan Spivey could come out and join us. Spivey walks out looking like a mean machine. Tully: It's no secret. I paid this man a large sum of money to take care of Hulk Hogan and last week was just a taste. Mr. Spivey knows he will get paid in full when the job is done which I have no doubt about that. Spivey: Hogan! Yea, it's real simple. I did it for the money and you can bet I'll finish the job! Tully shakes Spivey's hand and Spivey walks away. Tully: Hogan, you don't call the shots anymore, the AWA world champ Ric Flair does. Your days in the AWA are over and Dan Spivey wil see to that. Ric Flair will defend the AWA world title against Tony St. Clair. Let's hear comments from both men. St. Clair: In just one week, I'll be wrestling for the biggest prize in front of my hometown. You know, when I returned to the AWA I was a lot like Ric Flair. I wanted to be known as simply the best and I had all the luxuries like money, private jets, suits, you name it. However, I lost focus of myself and my wrestling ability in the ring. Well, I got focused and grounded and went back to the basics. I can say that I'm more focused than ever and I'm ready to win the AWA world title. I'm winning this for the UK and for the sport of wrestling! Flair: The United Kingdom! Royal Albert Hall! Get ready because the Nature Boy is coming! St. Clair, oh I know you're a big deal over there and you're elated to be wrestling in your home for MY AWA world title. St. Clair! You haven't got a chance pal! I'm going to take you to wrestling school and humiliate you in front of your soon to be heartbroken peers. Then after I beat you, I'm going to bring a party to the UK like they've never seen before! WOOOOO!

  22. Always fun seeing a new character arrive. Southern Boys vs Southern Justice is a textbook Memphis feud. Keep it coming Yes! I've been waiting for Michael Wallstreet to emerge. I really liked this gimmick IRL and wished it lasted longer. I can't wait to see what you do with the York Foundation RnR are rocking their way to a title shot I like Austin playing the arrogant tweener. This sets up all sorts of possibilities HTM is absolutely the right heel to help get Rich over as a big babyface. Having JYD as an ally sure doesn't hurt either The Steiners continue their dominant reign Savage vs Dundee is a big draw in Memphis. Savage has definitely been on his A game Bossman turns! I have to say, after that last TV segment with Lawler, I can understand why Bossman did this. Looking forward to watching this play out.
  23. Who will emerge as this year's lion? PCO has a lot of momentum and might ride it all the way through the tournament Scotty's also had a solid run and might make the Playboy Club proud After slaying the monster, I wonder what's next for Regal The Hexagon and Thrillseekers split and still have a representative in the tournament Looks like Hart's gunning for the man of means Vancouver Iron and Steel are on the path for a tag title rematch Windham gets back on track quick with a big win over the monster Could the Midnights be on the verge of another epic run Wow, Gordy wins the submission title in a dominant way. Gordy's sporting 2 belts and a very busy schedule ahead. If anyone can handle that, it's Gordy. FOJ and Slaughter have formed quite the alliance. Busick runs with the main event slot and delivers with the Spinebuster Slam! Kelowna The League of Gentleman have quickly become a serious faction in PCW Lee proves he's still a threat The SOB's continue to ride their wave of momentum. These guys have really gotten over Always fun watching 2 Northwest legends like Piper and Rose go at it Liger makes his case for a LHW title shot Condrey continues his remarkable reign
  24. After a great build, it's Clash time! Whoever that big guy was, he sure earned his money by walking down Badstreet with the Freebirds. Hall puts it in high gear and retains against Big Josh. Hall's rock'n that TV title Sting vs Nikita was off the charts! Sting gets the dramatic win and Nikita has an epic face turn. Great stuff Sid still rules the world! Demolition and Crush have rapidly gotten over as a faction. Ok, looks like the Samoans have severed ties with Gary Hart. DAMN! Paul E, Hennig and Rude! Watch out WCW! Classic promo by Paul E. This is a game changer Doom is taking out everybody and Michaels looks to be frustrated. Of course Luger and Steamboat deliver. Wow, didn't see that Muta run in coming. I'm all for an intense Steamboat/Muta feud. And now we have the big money match between Luger and Sting coming. WCW is on fire!
  25. Nakano put up a fight but that final kick sequence from Vrij was impressive Suzuki gets a big win over a game Taylor. Fun match up Johnson brought the power but Koslowski remained poised and finished strong I had the same reaction as the fans when Tadeu finished Malenko off with the knee. Yea, bad draw for Shamrock, but no shame in losing to a top notch competitor like Salman. Salman's got to be considered one of the favorites to win it all Man, I know Koslowski was satisfied with that pin. Great night for the Koslowski brothers. Who knows, maybe we'll get a showdown between the brothers Damn, what a comeback by Onita! Getting the submission win was incredible. WOW! In a show stealing match, Funaki gets the big win over Backlund to cap off a tremendous opening round. Can't wait for the next show!
