  1. AWA @ The Brown County Coliseum, WI 3-9-90 'Lionheart' Tony St. Clair defeated a Local Talent with a floating butterfly suplex King Kaluha vs. Boby Blaze These two keep their rivalry going. They give the fans a fun back and forth encounter. Blaze seems like he's going to take it, but Kaluha gets in a cheap lowblow followed by a thrust to the throat for the win. The Renegade Warriors vs. The Takano Dragons In a rare babyface vs. babyface match, these teams give the fans a clean and fast paced contest. They wrestle to a 10 minute draw and shake hands afterwards. 'The Mighty Yankee' Steve Disalvo vs. 'The Future' JW Storm These guys just don't like each other but it appears they like each other's style because sunglasses and a leather jacket have been involved in this feud. It's a straight up power match. Both men show off their impressive strength. In the end, Disalvo goes for a flying shoulder tackle from the middle ropes but Storm dodges it. Disalvo staggers up as Storm nails with a spere tackle for the win. Cactus Jack vs. Jimmy 'The Stud' Golden This is pretty much a brawl. After a few minutes of fighting, Jack gets the upper hand and puts Golden down with a double arm DDT. BUZZ SAWYER hits the ring in street clothes and attacks Cactus Jack. The Ref signals for the DQ. Golden staggers up and gives Jack a few stomps before leaving and letting Buzz do his thing. The Power Twins vs. Good Vibrations w/The Vin Man This match was basically all Power Twins as they pinballed Good Vibrations all over the ring. However, Vinnie was able to nail David with a foreign object which allowed Jammer to cover him for the tainted win. Vinnie has a Superbowl like celebration. AWA International Title Bout 'The Red Rooster' Terry Taylor vs. David Sammartino In a rematch from Title Night, David gave Taylor all he could handle. Taylor has his moments and looks crisp. David makes a huge comeback and keeps the fans on the edges of their seats with a series of near falls. David gets too excited and charges Taylor in the corner, but Taylor gets his knees up and David crashes right into them. As David staggers up, Taylor swings off the ropes and hits his flying 5 arm for the win.
  2. I love all the storylines going on in WCW. Tully and JJ. The world title picture with Luger, Nikita, Muta and even on crutches, Sting. Then there's the awesome mid card feuds going on like Martel and Garvin. I can't wait to see how all this unfolds. You're also doing a great job building stars like Hall, Pillman, Owen, Tatanka and Nash. Not to mention the vets like Race, Orton, JYD and Rich still in the mix. Something for everyone in WCW
  3. Good seeing the UWF back in action I think the Steiners are on the verge of superstardom. Doom's back on top! Nice to see Brian Adias making amends. Always nice seeing Budro pop up Mid South Coliseum Gaylord continues his rise Hennig tells it like it is. The man is perfect Nice Orndorff/Keirn segment. This gives Orndorff some good heat Damn, Goto loves receiving and inflicting pain Look at that! Bullet Bob's in town. I think he'll be back for another round with Fuller Hart's plan backfires again. Freebirds are having a blast in Memphis Dundee wins another title in Memphis. I'm sure the fans loved seeing Dutch go down Great finish in the main event. Keeps the intriguing story going.

The Mavericks will wrestle the Jive Tones for a National tag team title shot at Champagne Slam. The two names drawn for this week's TV title contender's match are Ron Starr and Konnan. Those two have had some recent altercations. Ken Patera once again faces Tom Brandi. Col Debeers, Johnny Smith and the Commission take on the AWA world tag champs the RnR Express and the Soul Patrol. Ok, let's get to the ring. Winner gets an AWA TV Title shot next week Ron Starr vs. Konnan Each team costed the other team a loss in the recent tag tournament. Things have gotten heated and it shows in this match as they go at it. Starr breaks all the rules and heels it up big time. Konnan comes back with some Lucha moves that frustrates Starr. Chicky Starr comes out and distracts Konnan which allows Ron to take control. Gama Singh comes out and pounds away on Chicky. Ron gets distracted by this and starts to head out, but Konnan dropkicks him into the turnbuckles and rolls him up for the 1..2..3! Commercial Break King Kong Bundy w/Greg Gagne vs. Trent Watkins Gagne looks on in delight as Bundy pummels his opponent and finishes things off with the Avalanche in the corner followed by a big splash and the mandatory 5 count. Nelson: Ok on April 12th at the Market Square Arena, the AWA presents Champagne Slam. Two battle royals. The winner of each battle royal will wrestle for a world title shot at WrestleRock 90. Gerry Morrow calls this the Champagne Challenge. Gagne and Bundy walk over Nelson: Greg, I know Bundy is in the Challenge, but so is El Canek. Gagne: So what? If that masked moron is stupid enough to show up at the Challenge, then bring it on. My man Bundy will put him on the shelve for good! Bundy: And that goes for anybody else who gets in my way! That title shot is all mine! Commercial Break 'Thrilling' Tom Brandi vs. Ken Patera w/Brad Rheingans Patera is a man possessed as he overwhelms Brandi with a series of power moves. Patera starts to get pissed because he can't put Brandi away. Patera distracts the Ref as Rheingans chokes Brandi on the bottom rope. The Ref turns around and warns Rheingans. Rheingans hops on the apron and argues with the Ref. Patera hoists Brandi up and applies the full nelson. Brandi lifts his legs and pushes himself off Rheingans and falls back on top of Patera 1..2..3! Patera releases the full nelson and gets up. Brandi slides out of the ring as the Olympians throw a tantrum when they hear the decision. Brandi 2. Patera 0 Commercial Break The Hangman w/Nell vs. Todd Rooney Hangman obliterates his opponent. Nell gives him a slow nod. Hangman hits the Hangman's neckbreaker and it's all over. Nelson: (very nervous) Nell, the Hangman will be in the Champagne Challenge but I'm sure Brutus Beefcake will be looking for him. Nell: The Hangman is coming to the Challenge and will indeed eliminate all those poor lost souls. As for Brutus Beefcake, I'm afraid his time has come. And Larry, you might be on borrowed time. The Hangman (with his noose in hand) walks up to Larry and Larry runs away. Commercial Break There's an advertisement for the AWA returning to the Royal Albert Hall in London on Saturday March 29th. AWA World Tag Team Champs the RnR Express and the Soul Patrol vs. Col. Debeers/'The British Bomber' Johnny Smith w/Les Thornton and The Commission This match is balls to the walls! Everybody gets in their moments and the fans are invested. After a wild back and forth battle, a pier six brawl breaks out and the Ref takes a bump. The Commission and Soul Patrol fight to the outside. Smith and Gibson fight in the corner. Morton is firing up on Debeers. Wait a minute! The Destruction Crew hit the ring with sledgehammers! Bloom nails Gibson. Enos takes out Morton. They leave. Debeers picks up a lifeless Morton and gives him a front face piledriver. Smith wakes up the Ref and pushes him over. The Ref counts 1..2..3! BOOOOOOO Commercial Break Winners get a National Tag Title Shot at Champagne Slam The Mavericks vs. The Jive Tones w/Tiger Conway Jr. A lot of heat in this match and a lot on the line. Mavericks start strong and give the Jive Tones a good beating. Thanks to a distraction by Conway, the Jive Tones come back. They work Gary over pretty good and almost get the pin with a double Russian Leg Sweep. Gary eventually makes the hot tag to Embry. Embry is fired up and cleans house. Conway gets on the apron, but Embry slingshots him into the ring. The Jive Tones charge towards Embry. Gary runs in and tackles Skip. Embry double clotheslines Conway and Whatley. Embry covers Whatley 1..2..3!! Big Pop! Commercial Break Ken Resnick: Fans, please welcome out the AWA world champion, the Immortal Hulk Hogan! The fans jump up as Eye of the Tiger blasts and Hogan storms out, slapping hands with the fans. Hogan enters the ring and holds his title high while the fans go nuts. Resnick: Hulk, you've survived and overcame some serious challenges lately. However, you have a big challenge coming at Champagne Slam. You'll be defending the AWA title against Stan Hansen. He might be your biggest challenge yet. Hulk: Well you know something Killer Ken, I've taking down monsters, giants, wrecking machines, nightmares and Colonel's brother! And now I have to deal with an outlaw, the biggest outlaw in wrestling. Stan Hansen has taken down everyone in his path here in the AWA. But Stan Hansen, you haven't face the power of Hulkamania brother! There's a big commotion as Stan Hansen barges into the ring. He grabs the mic from Resnick. Hansen: Let me tell you something Hulk Hogan. You've been ducking me for way to long boy! I've seen who you've beaten and there's a big difference from them and me! They all liked to hit you from behind. Well, I'll hit you head on! Hansen hits Hogan! Hansen pounds away on Hogan. Resnick gets in the way and Hansen hurls him across the ring. Hogan regroups and fires back on Hansen. Both men go toe to toe with some hard hitting punches. Officials and prelim wrestlers storm the ring. It's chaos as the show ends.
  6. We're on the road to WrestleMania! I'm looking forward to seeing what you have planned for the Genius. Whatever ensues, I'm sure Jake will find his way to Mania Cool seeing the Fantastics pop up here The Zeus story is intriguing and we'll see how this plays out in the Mania world title match Whose man enough to try and take the crown from Haku. This is the push he should have got IRL. Nice job Eagles and Russians in a flag match at Mania. Classic Oh man, I think we're going to see Quake and Andre one on one at Mania! The Commonwealth get their big shot on the grandest stage When the champ issues the challenge, he isn't messing around. I've loved this feud.
  7. Cool venue for the UWF. They're really expanding the brand. The Dutch have some good fighters. No doubt Vrij got the biggest reaction. I'm sure the Dutch fans got a thrill watching Maeda in action.
  8. The promos set the SNME tone and we're ready to go! Wow, Tito couldn't have picked a better partner to deal with Earthquake. Fun 8 man tag to kick things off with Tito's team getting the hot win. This match got the crowd going. Whoa, what's Jake doing here? Damn, Slick's right, Zeus earned his money tonight. Warrior's in bad shape Kevin gives Heenan and Rude a real scare, but Rude edges out the win. Warrior got the worst part of this deal. Jake's the master of being evasive lol Nailz put a hurting on Bossman. We'll see how Bossman recovers from this. Awesome southern tag ends the night. Dusty takes advantage of Funk's miscue to get the win. I hoping we get Dusty and Funk, one on one. Next stop, WrestleMania!
  9. Gaylord made a smart move coming back to Memphis. This is a place he can thrive. It didn't take long for the Southern Boys to get over with the fans Man, it's great seeing Orndorff back in the game. I'm all for a battle of piledrivers match with Lawler Jarrett better give Fuller what he wants because the fans will want to pay to see him lol The Taker team is bringing the eeriness to Memphis I'm already buying a ticket to next week's show to watch Dundee and Dutch fight everywhere Dustin looks great but I think Lance accidently fired up Savage Memphis+Main Event=Chaos. Love the slow burn storyline with Slater. What's really going on in Hennig's mind. Another wild week in Memphis
  10. Liked the description of Battleground. Sometimes these types of matches are better on paper, but hey, it gave these guys something to do Owen and Bulldog give it their all but the heels heel it up to retain. I liked this match up Hall's getting the superstar push Rich was fired up but damn, so was Garvin. I'm loving this feud Sherri has her Skyscrapers looking unbeatable Muta and Liger might've stole the show. Muta retains and has eyes on the world title Pillman upsets Arn. This win will catapult Pillman in a big way Wow, I thought Muta and Liger stole the show but I think the Rockers and RW's upstaged them. It seems the Rockers are the fan favorites here after that decision. Bring on the rematch Watch out WCW, Nikita's on the rampage! Luger finally gets his solidifying world title moment. Sting proves he's a great friend as Luger finally gets the best of Flair.
  11. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 3-1-90 Highlights from Title Night are shown. All Champions retain their titles. Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. We have a lot of action tonight, but before we get to that, please welcome... Brenda Britton comes walking out. Britton: Hit the bricks Nelson. Nelson rolls his eyes and just walks away. Britton: Hi everybody! Please welcome out the greatest AWA C.O.O. ever, Gerry Morrow. Morrow strolls out wearing a white fedora hat, sunglasses and white suit. Britton: Gerry, I know this upcoming pay per view on April 12th is very dear to you. Morrow: Hahahahaha yes it is Brenda. As you know I created Champagne Slam and this year will be de third annual event from de Market Square Arena. Tonight I am going to make two very big announcements. Dis year I have something very special planned. My concept is called de Champagne Challenge. There will be 2 battle royals. De winner of each battle royal will face each other later in de night. Then, de winner of that match will be presented with de best bottle of champagne by yours truly. But not only dat. De winner will also receive an AWA world title shot at our biggest event of da year, WrestleRock 90. Brenda: Oh wow! Gerry, that's brilliant! Morrow: Hahaha, thank you Brenda. Morrow: Hahaha yes. At Champagne Slam, Hulk Hogan will defend de AWA world title against de number one contender, Stan Hansen. Brenda: Oh my! This event is going to be incredible! My goodness! Well, as always you fans get all the biggest scoops from me. Until we meet again. Toooooodles! Commercial Break 'The Mighty Yankee' Steve Disalvo vs. Trent Watkins Disalvo walks out wearing his sunglasses and JW Storm's leather jacket. Disalvo dominates and wins the match with a running shoulder breaker. Disalvo cuts a promo wearing Storm's jacket and says if Storm wants it back, come and get it! Commercial Break The Power Twins vs. Vic Dutro and Willie Lopez The Power Twins win the match when Larry executes a backbreaker on Lopez and holds him as David comes off the middle ropes with a knee drop to the chest. Power Twins cut a promo and say they can't wait to knock over Good Vibrations and the Pinhead Man...again. Commercial Break Highlights are shown from last week when King Kong Bundy attacked El Canek. Nelson informs us that Canek broke a rib but will be in the Champagne Challenge as will King Kong Bundy. The Olympians come out. Nelson: Can I help you guys? Rheingans: Just stand there and hold the mic! Tell them Ken. Patera: Last week that punk Tom Brandi got the biggest fluke win of his pathetic life. Brandi! You and me, next week! Get ready punk because I'm going to rip you apart! Commercial Break The Mavericks and Bobby Blaze vs. The Jive Tones and King Kaluah w/Tiger Conway Jr. A lot of heat in the ring. The match starts off with a pier six brawl and we get several more during the match. After a see saw segment, another brawl breaks out. Kaluah and Blaze fight on the outside. Whatley and Gary Young fight to the outside also. The Ref is distracted by the outside fighting. Inside the ring, Embry puts Skip Young down with a running bulldog, but Conway runs in with a chair and blasts Embry. Conway rolls out of the ring. Skip puts his arm over Embry as the Ref runs over and counts 1..2..3! BOOOOOOO Commercial Break 'The British Bomber' Johnny Smith w/Les Thornton vs. Carl Kellerman Smith easily wins the match with a Superplex. As Thornton and Smith go to ringside, thundering boos hit as Col Debeers walks out. Debeers shakes hands with Thornton and Smith. Nelson: Col Debeers, what are you doing out here? Debeers: Last week, everybody witnessed a true atrocity when that weak champion Hulk Hogan walked out of our match with the world title. Did you people think I was just going to walk away? Oh no, I've only just begun. Those who have participated in helping Hogan must now pay dearly for their actions. Next week those Untouchables and the so called AWA world tag team champions the Inferior Express will team up to face myself and my Commission. (looks at Thornton) Mr. Thornton, I have the upmost respect for you. You and I see things the same. I'm out here to get your permission to obtain the services of Mr. Smith for our match next week. Of course, in return, I will owe you a favor. Thornton: I did witness that injustice last week Col Debeers. I know exactly how you feel. Johnny Smith and I would love to help. You're right, it's time the AWA received a wake up call. We will be there next week and I think I will be calling in that favor soon. Debeers twirls his mustache and nods his approval. Debeers, Thornton and Smith once again shake hands. They exit and leave Nelson looking concerned. Commercial Break 'Mad Dog' Buzz Sawyer vs. Neil Jordan Sawyer decimates Jordan before winning the match with a powerslam! Sawyer starts biting the head of Jordan. CACTUS JACK hits the ring and attacks Sawyer! Jack hits, bites and stomps away on Sawyer. Jack lifts Sawyer up and drops him with a double arm DDT! Jack smiles and gives his Bang Bang trademark. Commercial Break Jumbo Tsuruta w/RayStevens vs. Harold Bannister Poor Bannister is going to be sore for a week. Jumbo obliterates him and puts him out of his misery with a powerbomb. Nelson: Ray, at Title Night, Don Muraco got the best of your man.. Ray cuts him off Stevens: Muraco! Graham! You ruined everything! Jumbo was on his way to winning back his world title but now everything has changed! You can bet Jumbo will be in the Champagne Challenge and trust me, we'll get back on track. But before that, Jumbo is going to annihilate you Muraco! And Graham, you better watch your back! Commercial Break Nelson: Fans, before we get to our main event, we have a huge show lined up for next week. AWA World Champion, Hulk Hogan will be here to address his Champagne Slam title match with Stan Hansen. There will be a TV title drawing match. Tom Brandi has accepted Ken Patera's challenge. I've just been informed that the Mavericks and Jive Tones will wrestle for a National tag title shot at Champagne Slam. And the AWA tag champs the Rock n Roll Express will team with the Soul Patrol to take on Col Debeers, the Commission and Johnny Smith. Wow, what a show. Ok, let's get to the ring. Brutus Beefcake vs. Jimmy 'The Stud' Golden Both of these men have been entered into the Champagne Challenge. It seems a battle royal is right up Golden's alley. However, lately Beefcake has been unhinged and seems ready to take on several men at once. Both men go back and forth with some hard hitting shots. Golden takes control and puts Beefcake down with a clothesline but Beefcake kicks out. Beefcake makes a comeback and has Golden reeling. Beefcake applies the Sleeper and wrenches away. Golden's arms are flailing, and he takes the Ref out. Golden fights the sleeper and both men end up going over the top rope. OH NO! Nell leads the Hangman out. The Hangman attacks Beefcake, lifts him up and drops him with a Hangman's neckbreaker! Nell rolls Golden back into the ring. Nell leads the Hangman to the back. The Ref groggily gets to his feet. He sees Beefcake on the outside and makes the 10 count. Golden staggers up and raises his fist. Officials come out to help Beefcake.
  12. Great way kick things off with an exciting Trios title bout. This really sets the tone Busick and Douglas are clearly on the same page now and the Hexagon found that out. Oh yea, only a matter of time before Iron and Steel gets a title shot Finlay made Sarge bleed but Sarge triumphs in the end. Kid and Rob make the Sinister proud After that battle, Gordy and Hart are in for a war Good thing Austin has an ally. Condrey has had such an impressive singles run here that I knew he would hold gold at some point. Tonight was his night. Props to Regal on a great run. Dreamboats eke one out but I'm sure Coast to Coast will finagle a rematch. From LHW champ to TV champ, Scotty has built up quite the PCW resume. No shame for Hash, he had a stellar reign. Night 2 Thrillseekers kick off night 2 with a bang Rose and Piper have enough to deal with in each other, not sure they want to involve the Sinister. Who knows where this is going to lead. Very intriguing storyline Sabu defeats a hot PCO I agree, the OWC are on par with the rest of the Terror Cornette and the Midnights will pay Bigelow gets a huge win. Whatever he said to Piper, it worked Lee doesn't give Windham a chance to celebrate. Stay tuned for more Azul retains in yet another LHW thriller I told you Cornette and the Midnights would pay Steamboat slays Williams. And then there was one. Will Dibiase be the one to dethrone Steamboat or will Steamboat finish a clean sweep. Cant wait to find out. Awesome show!
  13. It's so great reading Monsoon and Heenan's classic banter After all the promos, I'm hyped for SNME Nailz vs. Bossman is going to be one hell of a brawl. Speaking of brawls, Dusty and Duggan vs. The Outlaws is going to give the northern fans an old school southern show. I'm looking forward to Tito's surprise I can't imagine who Rude and Warrior's opponents will be. I'll be tuning in to find out.
  14. The Mortons are on fire and I'm sure the USWA is taking notice. Big Dave has certainly noticed. I thought Starr was going to be in big trouble when Lock came out, but damn he gave Humperdink a beating. I'm sure Lock has something up her sleeve. The Mortons take care of business. I think Falk is going to have a long talk with Big Dave.
  15. I like your show's formats. The description of the squash matches always crack me up. Love the battleground concept. This will put a lot of shine on the mid card feuds I see Scott Hall climbing the rankings I agree with AD, Nikita and Tatanka could be a fun US title program Get well soon Sting! After a lot of drama and intrigue, it all comes down to Luger and Flair at WrestleWar. Bring it on!
  16. The Southern Boys will thrive here. Love the ambiguity with Slater. The man plays this role so well. Parsons rocks the house, but his partner 2 Cold goes down to the numbers game. BA and Dutch go at it again, but this time Brad has some serious back up. Jarrett and Dustin get the crowd pleasing win. Nice touch with Goto enjoying the whacking Sid goes down to a broken leg. Luck was with the Freebirds tonight. We'll see how Fuller rebounds The build to the Lawler/Savage match was gold. The promos were outstanding. Everything made total sense from both sides. Poor Lawler just has to many enemies and it costed him yet again. I can't wait for the fall out with Lawler, Savage, the First Family, Hot stuff and Slater. What a great story.
  17. AWA Title Night Winnipeg Arena, Manitoba Canada 2-22-90 Live on Sports Channel America Resnick: Hello everybody and welcome to another AWA Title Night. Five big title bouts and one bonus match. I'm going to stop talking, so we can get to the action. AWA National Tag Team Title Bout Latin Desire (C) vs. The Renegade Warriors The night kicks off with a fast paced tag title bout. The Warriors hit hard with intensity and want those titles bad. They give the champs a lot of close calls. Latin Desire gain control and show off their brotherly chemistry by working over the Warriors with some nice double team maneuvers. The Warriors come back with a vengeance. Mark is all over Al with chops. Mark swings off the ropes but (from the apron) Lou pulls the top rope down and Mark takes a nasty spill to the outside. Lou quickly hops down and hurls Mark back into the ring. Chris runs over and attacks Lou. While they're fighting on the outside, Al hoists Mark up and executes the Helicopter Drop 1..2..3! Winners of the Match and still AWA National Tag Champs- Latin Desire AWA TV Title Bout Jim 'The Anvil' Neidhart (C) vs. 'The Future' JW Storm Fun power match as both men really put their strength to work. Anvil goes on a shoulder block and tackle spree but Storm somehow survives. Storm makes a comeback. Storm gives Anvil a series of slams followed by a backbreaker but can't put Anvil away. Hold on! Steve Disalvo comes to ringside and grabs Storm's leather jacket. Disalvo puts it on and walks around the ring. Storm sees this and goes nuts. Storm heads for the outside but the Ref is telling him to stay in the ring. Storm is yelling at Disalvo. Storm turns around and Anvil clotheslines him down. Disalvo puts them on and gives Anvil a nod. Anvil strokes his goatee and laughs. Winner of the Match and still AWA TV champ- Jim Neidhart Bonus Match Jumbo Tsuruta w/Ray Stevens vs. Don 'The Rock' Muraco w/Superstar Graham Stevens is hell bent on getting Jumbo his world title match. He says Muraco is in the way and once they beat him, it's title time. Muraco and Graham have been on the same page and think it's time for some title matches as well. Stevens and Graham have words before the match, but the Ref gets things under control. The match is slow and hard hitting. Muraco takes control and puts Jumbo down with a sidewalk slam but Jumbo kicks out. Jumbo comes back hard and takes it to Muraco. Jumbo nearly gets the win with an Enziguri kick but Muraco gets his foot on the rope just in time. This gets Stevens on the apron. Jumbo and Stevens are saying they got the 3 count. Graham walks over and yells up at Stevens. Stevens starts pointing and yelling down at Graham. Muraco staggers up. Jumbo turns around as Muraco grabs him and surprises him with a Samoan Drop 1..2..3! Jumbo kicks out a half second too late. Stevens turns around when he hears the announcement. Stevens is pissed! Stevens hops off the apron and blames Graham. Stevens pushes Graham, but Graham pushes Stevens to the ground. Winner of the Match- Don Muraco AWA International Title Bout 'The Red Rooster' Terry Taylor (C) vs. David Sammartino The bell rings and Taylor slicks back his ponytail and flings his hands at David. Big mistake! The first few minutes is all David as he pinballs Taylor all over the ring with hip tosses, back drops, scoop slams and clotheslines. Taylor stops the momentum with an eye rake and hurls David out of the ring. David gets on the apron but Taylor snaps his head on the top rope, then suplexes him back in the ring. Taylor is smooth as he controls the next few minutes. Taylor goes for his flying 5 arm but David ducks it. David regroups and goes to town on Taylor. David hits an overhead suplex. Winner of the match and still AWA International Champ- Terry Taylor AWA World Tag Team Title Bout The Rock n Roll Express (C) vs. The Destruction Crew After winning their tournament matches with questionable tactics, the Destruction Crew get their big shot. RnR say they're ready for anything. Fast start for RnR as they fluster and frustrate the Destruction Crew with high flying moves, quick tags, flying headscissors and of course classic tag team double teaming. Destruction Crew turn the tide, thanks to a knee to the back on Morton from Bloom (on the apron). Morton plays face in peril for a long segment. The Destruction Crew batter Morton. Morton finally makes the hot tag and Gibson cleans house for a while, but with Morton still reeling, the Destruction Crew regain momentum. The Destruction Crew turn in up on Gibson and give him a pounding he'll be feeling for a long time. The Destruction Crew go for a double back drop but Gibson kicks Bloom and uppercuts Enos, then dives over and tags in Morton. Morton's refreshed and on fire. Morton dropkicks Bloom out of the ring. Morton works over Enos and hits a sunset flip, but Bloom runs in and nails Morton. Gibson charges in and everybody is fighting. RnR get the advantage and double clothesline Bloom over the top rope. Enos staggers up as RnR hit the double dropkick for the win! Winners of the Match and still AWA World Tag Team Champs- The Rock n Roll Express AWA World Title Bout BOOTCAMP MATCH Hulk Hogan (C) vs. Col. Hogan holds up the AWA world title and soaks in the cheers. Hogan sets the title down and gives the roaring fans his poses. Winner of the Match and Still AWA World Champion- Hulk Hogan
  18. Coast to Coast are tuned up and ready for some gold The heels in PCW better be ready for the bad good guys Iron and Steel Austin makes sense clearing things up Damn will Steamboat survive against Williams? If there was ever a title suited for PCW, it's the trios title. The Money Train are great choices to hold the belts first. These will be some very entertaining title matches. LA The way they've been working together, Windham and the Thrillseekers could be in line for a trios title shot. Thanks to Tina's distractions, Scotty's been racking up wins I can go for more Tenryu/Bigelow matches I think Regal's ready for Condrey Damn, is the Kid ok? Steamboat couldn't have found a better tune up for Williams. Santa Barbara Hart will always give respect when deserved Adams superkick is still one of the best finishers Gordy bangs up Snow Sarge wins another battle against camp Cornette Malenko and Chono give the fans their money's worth Azul closes things out on another exciting note
  19. AWA TV @ The Hammond Center 2-21-90 Larry Nelson: Hello everybody and welcome to AWA Major League Wrestling. Tonight you'll see The Takano Dragons take on the Starr Cousins. Tom Brandi faces Ken Patera. And don't forget tomorrow night here on Sports Channel America, you will see Title Night from Winnipeg. But right now, let's get to the ring. Bobby Blaze vs. Neil Jordan Blaze takes care of business and wins the match with a Northern Lights Suplex. Nelson asks Blaze about his issues with King Kaluah and Blaze says the issues are still there and will get settled soon enough in the ring. Commercial Break Good Vibrations w/The Vin Man vs. Sam Smith and Joe Bellows Vinnie celebrates as Beach slams Bellows and Jammer follows with the California Splash for the win. Nelson: Vinnie, as you know the tag team division in the AWA is more competitive than ever. Last week your team and the Power Twins went to a draw, but the Power Twins certainly got the last laugh. Vin: Come on Larbo, is everything a joke to you? Those two muscled up lame brains are going to pay a hefty price for tossing me around like that. Good Vibrations are going to get the last laugh by kicking sand into those dopes faces! Commercial Break 'Thrilling' Tom Brandi vs. 'Olympian' Ken Patera w/Brad Rheingans Brandi's still trying to get back on the winning track while Patera is currently enjoying a pretty good singles run. Brandi starts off strong and seems to be focused and pumped up. A distraction by Rheingans is all Patera needs to take control. Patera dominates with some power moves and seems to want to put a hurting on Brandi. Rheingans also gets in a lot of cheap shots. Patera decides to give the fans some poses. Patera hoists Brandi up for a slam but Brandi cradles Patera 1..2..3!!!! HUGE POP! Patera hops up and Rheingans hits the ring, but Brandi rolls out and celebrates with the fans. The Olympians are having a melt down while the fans continue to celebrate with Brandi. This is just what Brandi needed. Commercial Break The Soul Patrol vs. Trent Watkins and Dale Renner Jones swings Renner to the ropes and gives him a punch to the stomach as Walker comes off the top rope with a sunset flip for the win. The Soul Patrol cut a promo and say Hulk Hogan will take care of Debeers at Title Night and the Commission better be on high alert. Commercial Break King Kaluah vs. Arnie Goldstein Kaluah wins the match with a hot shot on the top rope. Kaluah cuts a promo and says Bobby Blaze is certainly playing with fire and will get burned. Commercial Break Brenda Brittan is on screen and says next week AWA C.O.O. Gerry Morrow will have a major announcement regarding the next pay per view, Champagne Slam. Nelson: I'm definitely looking forward to the Champagne Slam announcement. Ok, with me now is El Canek. This man recently returned from a successful tour of Mexico... BOOOOOOOOOS as Greg Gagne walks out. Nelson: Really Greg? Why can't you just leave well enough alone? Gagne: Are you kidding me Nelson? After all the hell this masked moron put me through, you want me too just walk away? That's not going to happen. You see, I promised a giant surprise and Greg Gagne always keeps his promises. (looks at Canek) You're doomed! WHAM!!! From behind, Canek is blasted by KING KONG BUNDY!!! Bundy pounds away on Canek, then rolls him in the ring. Bundy swings Canek into the corner and follows with an avalanche! Canek falls forward and down. Bundy swings off the ropes and follows with a BIG splash! Bundy gets up, swings off the ropes and hits another BIG splash! Gagne: (smiling) Well, I guess that takes care of that. Commercial Break Nelson: I can't believe what we just witnessed! Greg Gagne is the most cowardly and sick man I've ever met. I can't believe he had King Kong Bundy do his dirty work. El Canek was helped out of here and he looked in bad shape. My goodness, I hope he'll be ok. Well, let's go to the ring. Commercial Break 'Lionheart' Tony St. Clair vs. Marvin Rey St. Clair executes the floating butterfly suplex and it's all over. Nelson: Tony, it seems Les Thornton and Johnny Smith aren't through yet. Thornton even called you a traitor. Tony: Yes I heard that. Look, I went back to my roots and want to bring the UK pride back. If anything, Thornton is disgracing the UK. I'll take care of him and Johnny and be the wrestler the UK can be proud of. Commercial Break The Takano Dragons vs. Chicky and Ron Starr Both teams are in the tag title hunt and a big win here could propel one of them to a title shot. Takanos work well and have the Starrs reeling. Starrs manage to come back and control things. The Starrs double slam George and follow with stereo elbow drops but can't put George away. George eventually makes the hot tag and Shunji pinballs the Starrs all over the ring. Thanks to some cheating, the Starrs regain control. While Chicky is in the ring, the SWORDS OF LIGHT run out and yank Ron off the apron and start pounding away on him. Chicky sees this and gets distracted. Shunji tags in George. Chicky tries to go to the outside, but George pushes Chicky to the ropes and rolls him up 1..2..3!! Chicky pops up and goes to the outside, but the Swords pound away on him too. The show ends with a music montage of the Hulk Hogan/Col Debeers feud See you at Title Night
  20. SNME is going to rock with Bossman and Nailz going after that nightstick. "Yella bellied mongoloid" LOL Funk did throw out the best insults. I hope Funk and Dusty feud for a while. Snuka wants some revenge. I could visualize the craziness and intensity of that promo. WOW! Watch out WWF, the Samoans have arrived! SNME gets even better with an 8 man tag. Maybe Tugboat can be the man to stop Earthquake. WrestleMania always showcased celebrities. I have a lot of fun booking celebs for my biggest events. So, it's cool to see you doing this. Always a nice touch to make the event look like an extravaganza. Demolition saves Warrior and keeps the heat on their feud with POP.
  21. AWA @ The Allen County Coliseum 2-16-90 'Thrilling' Tom Brandi vs. Jimmy 'The Stud' Golden Brandi has fallen on some hard times since losing the TV title and is still looking to get back on track. Unfortunately, he's up against the man who put Leo Burke in the hospital. Brandi goes off with some high flying and exciting moves and gets several near falls. Golden turns the tide with a low blow out of the Ref's sight. Golden puts a pounding on Brandi and finishes him off with a piledriver. 'Olympian' Ken Patera w/Brad Rheingans vs. Bobby Blaze Blaze has been off to a good start in the AWA and his future is bright. He currently has a grudge to settle with King Kaluah, but tonight he's up against Patera and needs to focus on both him and Rheingans. Blaze puts up a valiant effort and showed off some tremendous talent, but thanks to a cheap shot from Rheingans, Patera was able to put his power to work and defeat Blaze with a full nelson slam. The Mavericks (Eric Embry and Gary Young) vs. The Jive Tones (Shaska Whatley and Skip Young) w/Tiger Conway Jr. The Jive Tones blamed their tournament loss to the Swords on the Mavericks because they said thanks to Embry's chair shot on Conway the week prior, they lost focused. I guess the Jive Tones forgot that it was Conway who brought the chair in the ring which gave the Jive Tones a cheap DQ over the Mavericks, which caused their elimination. Tonight's match is a heated fight. During a pier six brawl, Conway tries to interfere but it backfires when Gary Young atomic drops Whatley into Conway. Embry gives Whatley a running bulldog (and dropkicks Skip Young in the process) which gives the Mavericks the win. Cactus Jack vs. 'Mad Dog' Buzz Sawyer This has been a bizarre feud. Jack's AWA debut was an attack on Sawyer. Sawyer got the win in their first match up. That didn't seem to bother Jack, because he attacked Sawyer again on TV last week. These guys brawl all over the place and both men bleed. They end up fighting on the outside (again) Jack suplexes Sawyer on the concrete. Jack goes on the apron and runs off with an elbow drop to the outside, but Sawyer out of instinct rolls out of the way at the last second. Sawyer slowly rises, picks up Jack and powerslams him over on the concrete! Sawyer rolls into the ring as the Ref hits the 10 count. Jack refuses help to the back. He gives a weak smile and makes the bang bang signal with his hands. This guy is nuts. The Soul Patrol (Mike Jones and Bobby Walker) vs. The Commission (Sgt. Kruger and Sgt. DeKlerk) Debeers went out and recruited his soldiers, the Commission to help in the cause. The Soul Patrol immediately became a target when they stopped the Commission from helping Debeers in his attack on Hulk Hogan. Soul Patrol gel well and fluster the Commission with some high octane offense. The Commission come back and heel it up with double team moves and flagrant rule breaking. DeKlerk goes for a cover on Walker but after being fed up with the constant cheating, Jones runs in and breaks the pin attempt. Krueger runs in but Jones punches him back. The Ref guides Jones back. This allows the Commission to give Walker a double rib breaker. The Ref turns around, runs over and counts 1..2..3! Brutus Beefcake vs. The Hangman w/Nell Beefcake was riding high after surviving the elimination match at SuperClash. Things came crashing down when Nell decided to target Beefcake and sent the Hangman after him. The Hangman lived up to his name when he literally hung Beefcake with his noose over the top rope. This set something off in Beefcake and he has vowed revenge. For some reason Beefcake sets a chair on the apron. The bell rings. Nell is calmly scolding Beefcake. Beefcake grabs that chair and hits Hangman over the head! The Ref signals for the DQ. Nell is shocked and quickly exits the ring. Beefcake just starts hitting Hangman with the chair. Beefcake looks out at Nell and gives him a maniacal smile, then continues to hit Hangman with the chair. Officials and Security swarm the ring. I think Beefcake has snapped. 'Lionheart' Tony St. Clair vs. 'The British Bomber' Johnny Smith w/Les Thornton Since SuperClash, Thornton has called St. Clair a traitor and says Smith will bring the pride back to the Parliament. These two give the fans a 30 minute classic. It's technical, hard hitting and intense. After putting each other through the ultimate test, both men get a second wind and go on a brutal European uppercut exchange. Smith gets the upper hand and goes for a German Suplex, but St. Clair reverses it and executes a bridging back suplex for the pin. The fans cheer as Thornton gives St. Clair a stern stare. Thornton mouths the words "This isn't over"
  22. Sorry for the late response. I don't know how I missed this post. The UWF is on pace for an explosive 1990 Backlund is adding some intense fire by demanding a title shot. I would pay top dollar to see that. Ogawa is rapidly on the rise Fujinami is back with a vengeance as he pulls off a gigantic win over Maeda. What a match! I'm sure the UWF is already counting the money for a rematch Poor Sayama and the UWF title had to follow Fujinami and Maeda. Sayama's reign is off to a good start, but man does he have a lot of contenders waiting in line
  23. Bittersweet decision for Lee and Z but hey at least the fans get to see another great match Gossett really has been stricken by the love bug but I don't think Tasha feels the same LOL. Meanwhile, Falk's still hoping for that first win One thing's for sure, I wouldn't want to be Bobby Starr OH YEA! Gypsy Joe shows up but unfortunately, we don't get to see the brawl on TV. Classic formula to get the fans to the arena
  24. Fun card in Philly Genius, Prichard and Saito get showcased well The Rougeaus have been a blast in our world. The fact that they're holding the US titles is priceless Rhodes wins the battle of the Outlaws. However, he still has Funk to deal with Nailz spoils Bossman's chance at the title. Great heat here. Their showdown is going to be explosive
  25. With Luger, Sting, Flair and Muta, the world title scene has been a lot of fun and chaos. It all comes down to Luger and Flair at WrestleWar. Nikita overcomes a game Pillman to win the US title. As AD pointed out, this adds more intrigue to the world title since Nikita is the number one contender. Also loved the continuity with the Horsemen's issues with Pillman. Another big match up will be the Road Warriors and Rockers. Who will reign supreme? Smith and Owen vs. Power and Glory could be a show stealer but then again we've got Muta vs. Liger. Damn, WrestleWar is stacked!
